I'm heavy, have wide feet and walk 5-10 miles per day. I also travel frequently and always pack a pair of walking shoes. I've been wearing M993s for several years, and they perform well, but they are very bulky and difficult to cram into a carry-on bag. I bought the MX20s in the hopes the the lower-profile and lighter weight would help, and it does. The shoes are surprisingly comfortable on the long walks, though maybe a bit harder on my knees with the diminished cushioning. I bought a half-size larger based on other reviews, but a full-size larger might have been better. I haven't owned the shoes long enough to judge their durability. I'm not keen on the vibrant blue color. I would prefer a quiet, neutral, low-profile color like grey.

This is an amazing cross training shoe, have used them for a month and have been wonderful. Can really tell a difference when working out how you are using more of your feet for stability and control. Given I have recently gone through ACL surgery I wanted a shoe that would help me with my PT to reinforce my stability and it has been a wonderful shoe. Would definitely recommend it to others. Since this shoe can be worn with or without socks its a shoe that should fit snugly on your feet and it fit true to size for me.

I have been waiting for these shoes for a long time. First heard about them a few months ago. I hate bulky shoes and was excited when minimus line was coming out with a trainer. Have had them for about a week now and they are great. Lightweight, comfortable, and stylish. The blue color is awesome. I normally wear a 10 but I went with 10.5 and they fit great. I have wide feet so I also tried the wide but they are too wide, so I kept the medium. They do seem to stretch out a bit. Overall a good shoe from the limited time I used them.

After having these shoes for about two months and using these for CrossFit mainly and a run here and there. I do like these shoes. I normally wear a 13 in most shoes, but with these I say bump up one full size. I have flat arches and weigh around 220 pounds. I would not recommend these for running more than a 5K. Other than that they are good to go.

Size runs small- a half size larger would solve the problem, but not available in a 13.5! It’s too tight across the toe area. A good looking shoe and the weight is perfect.

I really like this shoe. However already owning a pair of NB's I ordered the same size/ one size larger. I'm a size 10 and in a NB a size 11 in these shoes I have to order 11 1/2. Most reviews are confusing since so many are conflicting for some reason even Zappos couldn't really judge either. I also have flat feet and it's a huge challenge to find shoes that don't have an arch these are perfect. I don't know why any shoe trying to imitate a bare foot would put in an arch it makes no sense.

Great shoe for cross training, very light, the size runs about a 1/2 size too small, get a 1/2 size bigger than you normally get!

I bought these as a pair of ultra light cross trainers I could wear for weight training and easily carry while traveling. I wear size 13EE running shoes and those can be both bulky and heavy to pack, so having a lighter option means I can bring them on trips more often. Also, the thick foam heels on running shoes are unstable when weightlifting. These are nice and light. It's a little odd that they put a giant reflective N on the sides, but then neglected to put anything reflective on the heel (where you'd expect / want it to be.) One thing worth noting: these shoes are very short for their size, at least at the large end of the range. I normally wear a size 12 or 13, but even the size 14’s in this model is shorter than I'd like. I have a bit of room in the toes but only maybe 1/4". Since I'm not going to run in them, it's okay, but it does seem like they sized them shorter than other NB shoes. Construction is okay but not great - there's uneven glue in the seam between the top and the sole. I don't have a lot of confidence these will last very long.

My first thought was that this seam that I can feel under my pinky toe is going to bother me. After wearing a few times, I no longer notice it and the shoe is great for Crossfitting. Excellent heel stability for lifting, feels good for running, very happy with this shoe. Wide enough to fit comfortably, which is great when comparing to Inov8 F-Lites. (I owned 195's, but they were too narrow). More cushion than F-Lites as well, so I think a great step for anyone moving from a traditional shoe, into a more minimal, Crossfit shoe.

Good gym shoes, they feel more like I am not wearing shoes, in a good way. The shoes take a bit of adjusting during your work out routine, so don't expect to run 3 miles right away, start slow, like a mile and build up the muscles. The shoes are smaller than marked. I wear an 11.5 for almost all shoes, and these are more than a little snug, although the fabric upper has a lot of stretch to it so the smaller sizing makes it a more glove like fit than a bulky shoe.

I like this shoe for its style. It's very light and not good for high impact exercise like Zumba or Aerobics. My only disappointment is the cost was not worth the make of this shoe.

Basically, I am a 9 3E by measure. I tried the 9 2E thinking it would be too small and that I would have to upgrade. It was way too small. Now I have the 9½ 2E and it is still too small. I may try a 10 because it is supposed to be a great crossfit shoe but I might just go with something else like Vibram 5 fingers.

I just got these shoes -- I've been wearing them for just a couple of hours now, most of that time sitting -- and already I've encountered one insurmountable problem. This shoe suffers from the same flaw that someone mentioned in a review of the New Balance MT20V2's: the inner sole/footpad/whatever you call it does not extend all the way up to the front of the shoe. This creates a "ridge" directly underneath your big toe. Your toe rubs against this ridge when you walk/run and it creates a great deal of irritation. It's safe to say continuing to wear these shoes will result in blisters unless you already have nicely callused feet. This is an unbelievable oversight for a shoe designed to be worn without socks. There are other minor problems. Although I ordered a wide and the toe box is adequate enough, the middle area is still narrow. This results in the shoe lace area being awkwardly wide and you have to carefully arrange the tongue to avoid exposing skin. The shoe also isn't quite as 'minimal' as other shoes out there. It's light, but not quite as light, it's not quite as flexible, it doesn't quite give you the same feel for the terrain, and the soles don't have quite the same grip as those shoes with the Vibram outsole. If you really want to buy New Balance, I'd recommend the original MT20 (not the V2's) if you can find them. That was a great shoe, but be warned that it runs very small. Get at least a half size larger than you normally would. I personally am getting turned off by New Balance because they have an irritating habit of discontinuing their most popular shoes, than coming up with a "similar" model that happens to cost 20-40% more.

The problem with this shoe is the bottom half of my foot feels like its on the inner side wall of the shoe. It has a very strange fit. I bought them to try to force myself to get away from heel striking when I run. Maybe over time they will fit better but I cannot recommend these shoes to anybody who wants to workout in them for running or crossfit. NB needs to go back to work on these.

Beware the fit! NB makes a concerted effort at competing with super-lights that other companies have. Personally, in this class I'm happier with the Onitsuka Tiger by Asics. The NB MX20 just goes a teensy bit too far at "unstructured."

Great for Crossfit. I have high arches and wide forefoot. These are awesome for my feet. I used a half-size larger. Good snug feel and does a great job of allowing you to feel the ground but still feel support in your foot. Thinking of buying a few more pairs of different colors. Black/red-trim are pretty sweet.

I'm a true minimalist. About the only time I wear shoes is at work. Elsewise I wear nothing at all or my sandals or Evos. Standing all day at work wasn't cutting it and these provide just the right amount of cushion and support while keeping me off the overstructured shoes I'd have to resort too otherwise. I normally wear a 12 wide in shoes and while there's less room in the 12-2e than I would like there's no rubbing or any problems that would warrent going a whole size up to 13 which would be too roomy for me.

Out of the box comfortable. Takes a little while to get used to minimalist style. Your heels will be sore short term. But great shoe overall. And an added plus is that they are not hideous.

Working my way towards a barefoot shoe and this is a perfect middle step. There is a 4mm drop from heel to ball compared to the 0mm drop which is barefoot. These are incredibly light and comfortable. I bought them for running but wear them for Insanity, playing tennis and just walking around in general. This is a perfect all-around sneaker. Especially if you're ready for a change from the clunky model that you have now.

The MX20 Minimus shoes fit Way too Small. Order a full size ip & they'll fit perfectly. These training shoes actually tilt feet inward to a knock-kneed stance and are not made for walking. But they are the best training shoes ever to "keep you on your toes" while running. Walkers hate 'em. Runners love 'em.

Purchased these shoes specifically for Crossfit workouts. After being sold out in my size for a few months, Zappos prompted me that they had received one pair. Coincidentally, I was in Vegas at the time; had them shipped to my hotel and they arrived within 24 hours. MX20s are awesome! Lightweight; firm, flat platform for you Olympic lifts and just enough support for short runs. They do run a little small, so order one half size up.

I use these shoes for cross fit WODs 3-4 times a week. So far, they have been great. I have not done any distance runs in them yet, but they are good for box jumps, double unders, and I like them a lot better than my old shoes when lifting.

This is my go to shoe for CrossFit. I can lift, sprint, jump and run with no problem. Great for double under and box jumps as there's plenty of cushioning in the fore foot. This shoe does it all well.

Bought for crossfit. Jury is still out on these. Genius idea, charge more for less shoe. The fabric seems to be tight on the inside/arch side and loose on the outside. Might push to role out a little, which I am inclined too so may be me. Feel better without socks. They are at least a half size smaller than listed. I am a 10.5 normally & ordered a 11 and can see my toe pushing up at the end of the shoe. Look okay & have the feel of sprint shoes with a little more heel support.

Disappointed in the sizing of these shoes. I have a pair of Minimus running shoes size 10 width D. I ordered the same size and the fit for this shoe - a shoe that seems nearly identical to its running mate - is way off.
