Needed all around Crossfit shoe that didn't get squirrelly with lateral movement. Went for a half size big which was correct. Takes a few weeks to wear in compared to Nike Frees. Much better shoe for Oly lifts, tire flips, shuttle runs etc. I still put on my Chucks for deads and squats just out of habit. I went for a 2 mile run yesterday focusing on position and felt good. I've been waiting for a shoe like this for a while.

Excellent for CrossFit, or Cross Training type workouts. I own a pair of MX20's, MR10's, and Minimus 20 trails. The MX20's replaced my Minimus 20 Trails. The trails have a tight grip around the arch which I loved. It helped this newish guy with side to side foot roll. The MX20's do not have as much grip around your foot in the arch, but, the MX20's have a little better comfort. They sport lower arch support, a large toe box, and a neutral, liberated, stance. Other bonuses: They don't crinkle up in the toe box like the Inov-8, The soles drag less crud from the street into the gym. And look substantially more normal to wear out and about if you need to. They have great heel and toe clearance for burpees. If your new to CF, these are way better than 'running shoes'. I use the MX20's for my go-to all around CF WOD. Another one to check out is the MR10. The MR10's are awesome, I simply love them, but they have a minor bit more of arch padding. I tend to favor MR10's for WOD's with running. Another thing I noticed about the MR10's is that the arch support really sets you back on your heel because the heel is very low. When I switch from any shoe to the MR10's I actually find my toes rocking up at times. Cheers!

Got these today and tried them on as soon as I could get the box opened. I have a quick question.... Are you supposed to fit these type of shoe with the typical 1/2 in extra toe room to the front of the shoe? I tied them up while still wearing my army boot socks and had a little room in the toe area. Overall the quality is great. I recommend these to every I work with.

Great minimalist training shoe! I use these shoes for cross training (combination of lifting, running sprints, calisthenics, and other drills both linear and lateral), and they are great for all of those activities. Definitely recommend.

Just got these a month ago for CrossFit. Really comfortable shoe the seamlessly goes from Olympic lifts to running without a problem. Really comfortable heel (has a bit of cushioning around the heel collar), and I like that unlike some other minimalist shoes, there's no extra material at the top of the toe box that pinches down on your big toe (it's just mesh here). And the red sole on black just looks bad booty!

I bought these shoes specifically for Crossfit and am thrilled with their performance. Very comfortable, the sole is stiff enough to feel solid on lifts but flexible enough for box jumps and running. Great all-around shoe for WODs! I did order up a half size based on the reviews and that was the right fit for me. I wear socks with them.

I really liked the comfort and fit of this shoe. As a marathon runner myself I really enjoyed the support from these shoes as well. I hope you all enjoyed them as well.

Amazing shoes! Super lightweight and mega comfy! I am a woman who wears wide width but couldn't find any cross trainers in wide width in womens that I liked. So I checked out the mens and they are fabulous! They are more unisex looking in my opinion.

This shoe is awesome for weightlifting. It is extremely flat in the sole, which helps give you better balance. I use it purely for lifting, I have tried walking in them for long periods of time and find that they are not that comfortable for that purpose. I still give it a high rating for the fact it has been excellent for what I use them for.

These shoes are pretty awesome. Super light-weight and they come in wide sizes! I'm very glad NB made fun-looking shoes in wide.

I just got these shoes and really really like them. I have wide feet and these shoes in 9.5 EE fit great for width. In all my other shoes I wear size 9, so these run about half a size smaller. Very comfortable shoes, good tractions, and works great for running when you strike with your forefoot first.

Purchased specifically to use in gym for lifting and elliptical trainer. This was a big purchase decision as it represents a significant change in shoe style and philosophy. Extremely comfortable from the outset. Felt like wearing slippers. On the elliptical, flexibility created a more natural rolling of foot. Also, because they are not so high in back, had no issues with numbness in lower legs. Uses muscles on elliptical differently. Felt almost like switching to a new style of elliptical trainer or to a stairmaster (not a bad change, but noticeable). In the end (following a week of use, include 60 minute workout today), I believe these are a winner. Do wish the color was a little toned down. Color is a little too superhero blue. I normally wear NB 7.5 2E (measured at NB store). Bought these in 8 2E and they fit with workout socks. Had I gone to barefoot, 7.5 2E would probably have been fine.

I just received the MX20s from Zappos earlier this week. I could not be more impressed with the overall look and feel (weight/flexibility) of the shoes when I took them out of the box. I looked all over the web looking for shoes that could double as a minimal for crossfit and running. I was debating between the MT10s and Inov8 210s, and decided on these. I do not wear socks when wearing the MX20s and find them comfortable with a little wiggle room near my toes. Sizing half a size size larger than my normal size was definitely the right choice. The shoes have great flexibility for running crossfit sprints, box jumps, and dead lifts. But they are also are sturdy enough when running. These are great shoes.

These feel great, look great, but sadly I got them in my normal size, which was half a size too small. My toe hit right up against the tip, which is a bad sign. Overall, I would definitely get these again. I am going to try to return them for a new, half-size up.

Love 'em! I'm not a runner, but I am on a quest for the flat, most simple shoe out there. This pair might be it . I originally ordered a standard size, they were a bit too snug. (thanks to Zappos free shipping) I reordered a wide that fit great. There's plenty of room for my toes to splay when they hit the ground. Try 'em Buy 'em either way, great shoe.

Absolutely awesome crossfit shoes! I would say they run a full size small. I normally were a 9-1/2 and ordered 10s. but found I can't wear them with socks - even thin ones. But these shoes feel fantastic to work out in without socks, so decided to keep them and am very glad I did. I use them exclusively for Crossfit and find that for lifting they give me lots of room in the toes and fantastic contact with the ground...they also feel great for box jumps and jump rope - they are really feather weight and are very flexible for exercises where you have to transition from the ground to something else, like burpies. I've run 3 miles in the them without problems, but for WODs with lots of running, I switch to a more supportive running-biased shoe. For everything else, these are my favorite. Very "minimalist" shoe as the name implies - so you really do "feel" more than more cushioned shoes, but that is what makes these a great all around workout shoe.

I love these shoes. They're the first "minimalistic" pair I've owned, but I'm a believer. I struggle with plantar fasciitis, so I wear them with over-the-counter orthotics (Superfeet) and feel as though I wear them all day, every day.

It took two months of looking and finally chose the MX20. Low key, minimal not loud/gaudy/showy. These are plain sneakers that are actually designed for athletics. I read that the shoe runs small. So I contacted Zappos and the customer service woman said I should probably order my size, which is 9½D. The shoes arrived and I could hardly fit in them without socks. They were way too small. So I called Zappos again and a lovely woman there helped me to decide on a whole size larger, 10½. She sent out my order immediately and it arrived the very next day! The new size fits perfectly but still very snug with socks. They are too new to judge them, but I am extremely happy with them the incredible service I received from Zappos. So I definitely recommend to order a larger size.

Use these shoes exclusively for Crossfit. Love them. Lightweight yet durable. I tried the MT101's, but these are better.
Wouldn't go for a long run in them, but for 800M and less they are great.

Excruciatingly comfortable as a walk-around shoe; I haven't done any running in them, but will most definitely be buying more pair.

All in all a great shoe. I use them for running and gym activity and couldn't be happier. They are extremely light and flexible and give you the right kind of support. I have the blue ones and they look great as well. I highly recommend them.

Love these shoes. Comfortable, light, and stylish. I usually wear anything from size 8.5-9, so it seems like NB shoes run larger smaller than the size they are marked.
