The shoe is a 36. Zappo said that is equivalent to size 5. Actually it is equivalent to size 6. These 36s are more like a 6 1/2.....a little too long for my size 6 foot but there is nothing smaller. I wish they were a true 36.

I ordered 2 Haflinger shoes, the GZ Classic and the Spirit. They were both comfortable and the fit was true to size. I am returning the Spirit because I thought the circular stitching would stand out more.

Very nice shoe. Made for people with wide feet.

Really suppotive and comfy, but my heel hung off them, boo.

We’re too big and SO uncomfortable. Very rigid and totally ‘shoe-like.’ Would never classify these as slippers. More like an outdoor clog. Sent them back!

The clog is fine for what I need it for--wearing over toe sox to Pilates. The shoe would also be more comfortable with a heavy sock, though the sole is not as flexible as I had hoped for, and despite the purchase for Pilates, at home I am still wearing my worn out Ughs that, in the same size, are warmer and snugger.

This is my third pair of Haflingers and I'm devout about them. I pondered the sizing suggestions in other reviews, but still got it wrong. I'm a size 8, 38 in Birkenstocks, and I ordered the 38. It was too big overall, and very wide in the forefoot. I went to a local shoe store to try on lots of different Haflingers and found that 37 was my size. I also found that the 'Classic Grizzly' (or it may have been the 'Zigzag,' they look very similar) style is narrower. Alas, but not as cute. I ended up with the 'Magic' in a 37. I'm thrilled. They are exactly what I wanted. I appreciate Zappo's return policy. I returned these and bought the other pair locally. Also note that the sole of the Spirit clog is not as shown in the photos here. It is the same gum-rubber as all the other Haflinger clogs. I would have liked a more substantial sole, but we can't have it all, can we?

Cute shoes, 1st order was sz37, I wear a 6 1/2. They were about an inch too large. Returned for a 36 and it's too short!

I’m not sure what has changed with this brand but the quality control of Haflingers seems to have gone out the window. This is a specific style that I have bought over the years yet the same size in the same model is an entire size too big! Not worth trying again. Also, the customer service at Zappos has declined noticeably as well in the last year or so, so no reason to continue down the road with them either.

I wear Haflingers always but these felt floppy on my feet. I returned them and got another style by Haflingers and they are fine.

I wear size 8 or 8.5, M width in Merrell/Keene and other clogs. Some issues with instep being too high/cutting into top of my foot w/many brands. This seems like a totally comfy clog, good footbed and support and fits my instep but is still a full thumb's width too long. Returned. Confused: website says EU38=women's US7, but the barcode label it came w/says 38/8M US. Customer service could not clarify. The Giesswein Women's Bella 38 says womens 7M, and is also too big. So I'm going to order size 37 and hope they are not too small.

I am a true 6.5. The 7 Hafglinger was way too large as was the 6 . way too wide as well!

This pair appears to have been well worn and is damaged. The heel of each is torn and on further examination, the lining at the inner heel shows wear.

BE AWARE, HALFLINGERS are NOT made the way they used to be, I have 2 pairs 6-7 years old. I brought my new pair to they shoe repair shop just to see if in the future the new gum sole they are using now NOT THE BLACK IN THE PIC, could be replaced, CORK IN PLASTIC AND SO IS THE GUM SOLE
