I'm so sad! These appeared to be the perfect flats. I ordered my usual size 5½, I have two other pair of Fryes in this size and they are perfect. The 5½ was way too tight, felt more like a 5. I exchanged them for a 6 and they are huge on me. I wonder if the 5½ I got was mismarked and I am still contemplating exchanging the 6 for another 5½ instead of returning them, just in case. They are beautiful, but it looks like they are just not going to work.

I love the way these shoes look and took a chance on the Frye name as I've never owned a pair. I was so disappointed when they arrived -- they were the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever attempted to wear. I tried to put some gel pads in them but the backs of my ankles are killing me from what could be a defective seam. There is no way I'm putting these shoes back on my feet. Argh.

Nice looking shoe, but I'm so dissappointed in them. I'm a true size 8, but the 8's were too tight so I ordered an 8.5. The 8.5's are EXACTLY the same size as the 8's. I measured them carefully just to be sure, but they are exactly the same. Zappos is out of 9's. So I guess they have to be sent back. Bummer. And I still don't have any brown flats.

I wanted these so bad, I love the textured nubuck... really lends to what could be a boring flat. And I love Frye quality leather shoes and boots. I'm a true size 8.5, narrow, and don't usually have trouble with sizes and fits...however the 8.5 was fine by length but just too narrow at the ball of the foot and toes. I knew I could stretch them with time, but it felt like my foot was going over the sole... for the price they need to be a perfect fit! I tried the 9 but they were too long, didn't even stay on my foot. They both went back.

I really wanted to love these. The leather is soft, the style is simple and all-purpose, and the construction is very high quality. But they were so ridiculously wide that even a smaller size wouldn't stay on my foot, when it was clearly too short and pinched my toes. I had terrible gaps all around and walked right out of the shoe.

These shoes are super cute and soft, but have to go back. This is the second time for this shoe. The first one was enormous on my feet. I returned and ordered a half size smaller and those were way small. I give up.

I love the brand, the price was reasonable. I bought the gray. Fit was pretty good for being a flat, I ended up purchasing a 1/2 bigger per other reviews. Here’s my biggest problem with this show, the pointy toe ended up darkening. It was very strange, I never got them wet or even wore them outdoors. It was an obvious discoloration so I returned.

Unfortunately I’ll be returning these. They are Cute but way to big and floppy. The sizes on these flats are off. The material seems a lot flimsier then when I first bought a pair a couple years back.

HUGE! I think this was a size 10, not the 8.5 I ordered—not that anyone would know, because as the other reviewers mentioned, the shoe has no size markings whatsoever. But these were enormous and fell right off my feet, even with thick wool socks on (I just tested them with socks to see how big they really were). Compared to other styles of Frye flats: the Carson (round toe) fit perfectly; the Sienna (pointy toe, dressier than these) were tight. These Reginas were huge. I’m fairly new to Frye, so I’m not sure I can speak to the brand overall, but the oddball sizing is a bummer. Otherwise, even though they are more casual, the Carsons appear to be the best quality/design and the most durable. The Siennas look like 10-year old shoes after one wearing. And I don’t know how these would’ve worked out, but they weren’t the cutest shoes I’ve ever seen, so I didn’t exchange for a smaller size.

I wanted to love these shoes, but something is seriously wrong with the sizing. I typically wear a 6.5 and ordered that size, but the shoes I received were way too large. I checked multiple times to make sure I was sent the correct size and requested an exchange (Zappos customer service was excellent as per usual) for a size 6. Unfortunately, the 6's were too small! The difference between a 6 and 6.5 was ridiculous. I should have sent the 6's back, too, but I thought that, since they were leather, I could break them in. They are sadly uncomfortable, though, and I'm not sure if I should keep trying.

I first ordered these in my usual size, 7.5. They arrived and were a beautiful, soft, supple leather with a slightly matte finish. They were pretty comfortable but were too loose and I could tell would flip off easily. I exchanged them for the next size down and the pair that arrived were a very stiff, hard and slightly shiny leather. Almost didn't believe they were the same shoe. They were also torturously uncomfortable. I tried them on and couldn't wait to get them off. So confused! They're very pretty shoes but the sizing is very odd.

I am consistently a 7.5 medium. Sometimes I don't even bother trying on shoes in stores because a 7.5 always, always fits. Except for these. Upon trying them on my feet were screaming in pain from all sides. I'd go up to an 8 but I think they'd still be too narrow. I thought maybe if I wore them and stretched them out...but they are such ill-fitting shoes I think it's best to return them. Thank you Zappos for making returns so easy.

They have totally changed this shoe since last year. I have a black and gray pair from last fall in size 7. Fit perfectly and cover the "toe cleavage". Saw they were on sale and ordered a pair in the camel. They are so big and they have definitely reduced the amount of coverage on top. So disappointed. Why change a good thing??

I had to rate this shoe low due to sizing. I have several other Frye shoes and have always been a 5.5. These were so big. Even my husband saw them in the box & noted how big they looked. Super cute and comfy but sizing was way off.

I love the color, style and quality of Frye. I am so disappointed in their unreliable sizing. If I order 4 pairs of size 10, I'll be lucky if one of them fits. This pair I'm returning was the perfect length, but the leather opening was cut so wide that the sides barely cam up around the edge of my foot and there was toe cleavage on every toe. C'mon, Frye. Systemize your sizing!

Cheap-looking low style mall shoe look. No edge to the styling whatsoever - this shoe says, "I want to blend in." The sole especially looks extremely cheap. They look worth about half this price. I am returning.

These shoes were a darker red than what it looked like on the picture. I also thought they were very uncomfortable and ran small. If I were to re-order I would pick a half size larger. Either way, I did not like this shoe. will be returning. The shoe is too pointy looking.

I can only rate the size, because I couldn't even get it on my foot to notice the width or the arch support.

I really wanted to like this shoe. Alas, the 8.5M was much too tight (I usually wear a 8.5 or 9). Instead of exchanging the shoe for a bigger pair, I will be returning it because the shoe also has too much toe cleavage. Blugh!

I have never had a problem with shoes being too narrow. These are super narrow even though they are ordered in medium width. I love the color but am unable to wear them.

I don't understand this shoe at all. It is so beautiful in the smoke color. I wanted to own these shoes so badly. I'm usually a 7.5 or an 8. I tried the 8...way too small. I tried the 8.5...way too small. I tried the 9...way too big. I love them so much I thought about trying to stretch the 8.5's, or suffering until the leather possible would naturally stretch on my feet, but I'm not much for suffering or modifying flats, so I guess it just wasn't meant to be. :-(

Not sure why some reviewers are saying these run small. I am a true 7.5 and my right foot is slightly larger than my left. It fit perfectly on the larger foot and feels just a tiny bit too big on the smaller foot. And the color of the grey is nothing like the photos! It is brown, brown, brown, and flat brown, with no hint of metallic like the ones in the photos! I am keeping them though because I needed brown flats as well. But I am still searching for a nice pair of slightly metallic or more neutral colored flats. They are comfortable and don't seem to pinch anywhere. The toe bed is not at all tight.

Why, oh why, do I keep trying Frye? Several years ago I bought a pair of Frye boots that I loved for fit and comfort. Every pair that I've bought since has gone back to Zappos. I bought this pair of Frye flats and two other pair of Frye ballet flats in the dark brown soft antique vintage color because the color shown in photos is a deep, rich red brown. I figured I'd keep the pair that fit best and was most comfortable. All three pair are going back. None of the three styles is as red as they appear in photos. Sizing with Frye is inconsistent. I bought all three ballet flat styles in a size 7.5. Of the three pair that I bought, one felt a half size too large, one pair felt true to size, and this pair felt half size too small. I'm bummed because I really liked this style best.
