I bought these and I had to return them. I am usually an 8 Wide or 8.5 Medium . I bought the 8.5 Mediums because they don't offer this boot in a wide. I could not even get my foot into the boot. I bought the Timberland Earthkeepers Bethel Buckle instead and they fit like a dream and were a heck of a lot cheaper. Do not order these unless you have narrow feet.

Really wanted to like these shoes, but the zipper is really difficult to use. When my foot was in the boot, I could barely get the zipper to budge just to see how they fit. A cute boot, but not if you can't get them on!

I am terribly disappointed in these boots! I was so excited to receive these in the mail. My mother has a pair of these boots in the dark brown color and I had been dying to order a pair, so I did! Unfortunately these boots were not crafted in the same way as my mother's pair. These are the problems that I have: Fit: These boots were HUGE around the calves!! My calves are 13" in circumference. These boots advertised as 14" so I figured they would fit 'like a glove' as many reviewers have proclaimed. Not so much! The boots I received do NOT fit as advertised. I measured the calf circumference and it is actually over 15". These boots fit in the foot area, but the entire shaft is so big that the boots look clownish! I would not recommend these to women with small to normal sized calves. Craftsmanship: These boots were clearly not made with the care and precision that Frye claims they are made. And certainly not worth nearly this much! The sole looks like it will detach from the shoe after few wears. Packaging: By the way my boots were not stuffed with the typical stuffing that is used to keep the shape of a boot. They were just laying in the box and were already creasing as a result! The stuffing was in the box just laying next to the boots! I expect more from Zappos. I'm not sure if this is just a bad pair. But regardless, these boots are not what I was expecting, and I actually have seen what this pair of boots can look like! I will definitely return these, but I'm not so sure that I will be buying another pair of Frye boots. Nor am I sure that I will be ordering anymore shoes from Zappos.

The snap broke on the side of boot before we even put it on. Are returning for this reason.

Absolutely love these boots. I can't even begin to explain how many boots I tried before finding these! I have fairly wide, pretty flats feet and the regular Melissa button boots made my heels slip but these seem to be slimmer through the ankle and fit so much better. My LONG boot hunt is finally over and I love these gorgeous boots!!

Love these boots! But I have. 15” calf, and these are 15”-15 1/2” wide at most. I can get them on and zipped, but I’m thinking of returning for the extended version. Its a hard decision, but I want to be comfortable wearing them, and not excited to take them off.

These boots are top notch. Beautiful quality and great feel.

Amazing boot! Definitely worth the price. I've had it for two years so far and it still looks amazing. I get compliments all the time, and people ask what brand it is. I am obsessed with the crisp heel sound it makes when I walk.

Love these boots! I did have to have the calf stretched at the cobblers so I can wear them with jeggings but that was a small price to pay for otherwise perfect boots. Bless Zappos for letting me try several pairs to finally find my perfect boots! I'm glad I didn't settle for a cheaper pair, I tried several at half the price point but the quality difference was obvious.

These are comfortable right out of the box. Goes with jeans, dresses, and leggings! Very slippery, but even just wearing them inside the house has gotten rid of some of the slickness. I've read online that I should take them outside and rub the soles on concrete; now that I know I'm keeping them, I'll do just that. I do wish the color wouldn't change at the slight creases - all leather seems to do this now, so I expect using shoe polish will help out.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Fryes! I waited so long to buy these boots and I wore them almost every day this past winter. Excellent quality, fit true to size, and they are beautiful. Comfortable too!

What can I say that hasn't already been said about these gorgeous boots? Beautiful craftsmanship you don't find anymore. I'm having some trouble with the back zipper sticking. Just need to pinch the leather and jiggle it up a bit and it works. But love love love these.

These were the boots that I've been looking for. I get lots of compliments on them and they feel great when I'm wearing them. I have smaller calves and these are still big on me but don't have the look of an exaggerated calf in the shaft like some tall boots have.

Have always admired Frye boots so when these became available at a good price I jumped, even though we're near the end of boot season in the Northeast. When they arrived a few days after ordering, I was not disappointed. They fit true to size and I find them very comfortable. Plus they are beautiful. That said, they needed a couple of tweaks. I ordered cognac, but found I wanted a more subtle look. A once over with black shoe polish toned down both color and shine, giving the leather more depth and richness. I also found the zipper stiff on one boot, and running a bar of soap along both inside and outside of the zipper teeth took care of that problem. I've been wearing them whenever possible, and the leather is softening and conforming to my foot perfectly. I do believe these are the best boots I've ever owned.

Quality: The leather is beautiful but the zipper could be better. The teeth have to line up perfectly before it will zip up, which can be challenging when the zip is behind you. Not a big deal just takes longer to put on. Fit: I normally wear a US 7 and sometimes a US 6.5. I ordered a US 7 and it feels snug. My smaller toes don't have any wiggle room. Shaft is great. Comfort: The downside of good genuine leather is that it tends to require some breaking in. I would've worn thicker socks to help with the initial break in but since it was already a snug fit I didn't really have room to. Style: Looks great!

Absolutely stunning!

These boots are beautiful! Having a size 11 foot can be challenging in many ways but I loved these boots the minute I put them on. They're comfortable and stylish, they fit me perfectly and they don't make my feet look big. All positives!

These boots were too stiff for my liking. They were very pretty but felt they weren't high enough (came about 3 inches below knee) and overall a little plain. I returned these. Since the return I noticed the price went up about $90 bucks in one week. Nice boot but wasn't in love. Btw they were also really hard to zip up. The zipper had a hard time zipping up at bottom but fine once it got half way up. I have another pair of fryes (10 years and still beautiful) and love them but this style wasn't the same.

Beautiful leather and very comfortable. I bought the dark leather and it is versatile enough to go with almost everything.

Gorgeous boots. Unfortunately, even though the circumference was the smallest available through Frye, it was still way too big around my calves. Back they go.
