I ordered and sent back six pairs of black boots from different websites before settling on these. Frye boots are worth every penny. They are an investment that you will wear for years. These boots are comfortable and there was absolutely no break in time. I have a standard size 7 and these boots are pretty true to size. My foot is also average width but I do have a higher arch and these boots are very comfortable. I can wear them all day walking a lot and they do not rub my feet wrong in any places at all, thus no break in time. The leather and quality is what you would expect from Frye; excellent. I will get years and years of wear in these boots.

These are classic, beautifully made, sexy and practical. The arch support a little off in the shoe bed.

I ordered these in black. The leather was top quality, and the construction was beautiful inside and out. The black leather had a nice sheen and made the boots dressier despite the casual styling. These would look great with skirts, dresses, and tights. I loved the snap tabs on the top and the bottom of the zipper. The fit was true to size, and nicely shaped through the ankle. Unfortunately, I returned them because of the zippers. The zipper on the left boot would not go down. If I had not gotten the last pair in my size, I would have happily exchanged them for the same style and color.

Great looking boot. Comfortable and true to size. Issues with snap on back breaking and zipper breaking but both times, Zappos took care of it and I had new boots the next day. 3rd time's a charm! We decided to keep them!

Super comfy straight out of the box! I've never spent this much on a pair of boots or shoes, but I feel fine about having done so because these boots are made well, fit well and are truly comfortable. True to size also.

These boots are a disappointment. Don't know what's happened to Frye's quality standards but they seem to have taken a nose-dive. I'm sending two pairs of these boots back as sadly the zippers are "wavy" and the attention to quality detail and craftsmanship that I expect from Frye is missing. Thought the leather was thin and the finish looked cheap. I am extremely satisfied with Zappos service though.

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I ordered them in chestnut also. A little more than I would have wanted to spend for boots but well worth it because I wear them every chance I get. I have never worn a shoe or boot as comfortable and good looking as these!

I bought this boot because I was looking for classic styling plus comfort. I was tired of purchasing boots that only last a season or two. Very comfy right out of the box! The calf was fairly snug at first, but has stretched nicely to the perfect fit. The lining is leather, which aids in its ability to stretch. The antique grey is actually taupe. Love these boots!

Absolutely my favorite boots, I wear them almost every day. They're a little snug at the toe, but once worn in a few times it loosens. True to size.

My first pair of Frye boots! Why did it take me so long to jump in?! Love the fit and look. Agree with other reviews, they are more brown than gray, yet I love them. True to size. Not for someone with high arches.

Arrived from Zappos in 1 day! Very comfortable and high quality, along with great color and style. I would definitely recommend!

I absolutely love these boots! The color is more brownish than gray, but the color is great! I have had multiple compliments on them. Also, when I first put them on, the bottoms were super slick. You have to go out walking on sidewalks and mark them up so the bottoms are scored. I also have fairly muscular calves, and these were a little snug at first but they have stretched some.

I searched and searched for the perfect boot, and found them! I went down a half size from my normal shoe size. These boots are versatile and are getting better the more I wear them - which is every day!

When these shoes first arrived, they were super stiff. But with a couple of wears, they softened out considerable. The color is nice and the quality is solid. I can see these boots lasting forever. No regrets here!

Zappos does an unbelievable job. I really needed these boots and asked for an update if they became available. I received an email at three in the morning the next day saying they were available!

I love these boots. After searching all fall for the perfect boots I finally found them! I have a larger shoe size but normal size calves and these fit my calves great, not too big. They are worth the money!

I had a little bit of trouble at first with this boot. The first pair had a pretty bad mark on it, the 2nd pair had looked worn with bad spots all over, 3rd pair I decided to go through Frye directly...the calf was huge, zipper stuck and my heel slipped. I was determined to get this boot, as the first pair fit perfect and are so cute. At last I've received the perfect pair! I'm so excited, these are super cute and very comfortable! Love them!

These boots are fabulous and worth every penny. They are made from great leather and the fit is perfectly just right over skinny jeans, while still fitting snugly with tights or thin socks. I got the gray, a very neutral gray-beige, mushroomy color, that works with grays, browns and adds a bit of flair when worn with black. I highly recommend them.

These are beautiful boots. The color says grey but like another reviewer says they are more of very light brown. They are very neutral and go with a lot of things. This is my first pair of Frye's and they are very comfortable. I usually wear an 8.5 (99%) of the time but I needed an 8 in these. Overall great boot!

Love these boots! Wicked comfortable, perfectly broken in after wearing once. Though, the color is not exactly as it is in the picture. But still goes with everything!

I bought these for my daughter and not only are they great (my daughter loved them although they do require some breaking in and the zipper has to be manipulated a bit at first), but the customer service I got from Zappos from incredible. I originally bought some from Nordstrom and it was appalling the condition they were shipped to me in. I won't make that mistake again. You simply can't beat Zappos in quality and customer service. I can't believe how quickly my order was processed they were wrapped so nicely. I recommend using Zappos to everyone. Thank you, Zappos!

Extremely pleased with these boots - great looking, well-made, comfortable,and good support for my high arch. They are not very heavy, so I don't feel like I'm carrying them around on my feet.

Fabulous boots! You can never go wrong with a good pair of Frye boots. These boots are very sleek and make you look polished and put together. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Perfect! Completely perfect. Better than I had hoped for actually, the leather is very high quality and the color is rich! I was worried that they would be too narrow for my calves and my wide feet. I'm 5'5" and 140lbs with a muscular/athletic body, my calves are 14.5" and 14" (broke my ankle last year so one is still slightly smaller) so I was nervous about them fitting with skinny jeans on but they are perfect! I will buy Frye boots for the rest of my life now. I was worried about the price and that I would have buyers remorse but they're worth every penny. Ladies, treat yourself to these boots, you wont regret it! I'm headed to the French Rivera with the perfect boots!
