By far, my favorite Fryes. I have the Engineer and the Melissa Trapunto, which I love to death. I got these when I was in Soho last week and I am amazed at how much more I could love a boot. These are as comfy as Uggs, but with style. They are so comfortable...the sole is soft, not squishy, and the leather is like butter. I can not recommend these enough. If you only get one pair of boots, these would be them as you can dress them up or down. FYI, I wear 9 in most shoes but I get a 9.5 in Fryes to account for the Smartwool socks I wear and for foot swell. There doesn't seem to be any noticeable arch support but I have high arches and my feet never ache in these.

Absolutely love these boots. I've searched far and wide for the perfect boot and I truly think I've found it. Well worth the money because they are quality made, neutral (go with just about everything), comfortable and stylish (but won't go out of style). I personally love the fact that the sole is rubber, making it not slippery and very flexible. The leather is so soft and already has that broken in feel. They do seem a bit narrow, but I have fairly narrow feet so it works for me. I know I'll be wearing these for many years to come! I've been wanting these boots in grey for over a year now. Finally got them for Christmas! Unfortunately, the boots did not fit (I went with my regular size 7 1/2 in Frye boots -- I own two other pairs of Fryes and both are 7 1/2). I could not even get my right foot into the boot. Also, the coloring is a little different than shown online. The grey is more of a tan, really, with grey undertones. The boot looks like it would be super comfy though...um, if I could get my foot in it!

These boots are of very high quality. The leather outer and lining are both buttery and durable. The foot bed is perfectly padded and oh-so-comfortable. The style, of course, is a matter of opinion, but for me for casual weekend wear these have the right blend of classic and modern with a little twist of Western flair. The shaft has the right degree of stiffness that it stands up beautifully on its own without slouching but is flexible and moves with you very naturally. I believe that these will last for years and in so doing justify the relatively high price tag.

I cannot say enough about Zappos shipping methods. I ordered this Monday night and got them Wednesday afternoon. Plus it was free shipping, so I really can't say enough praise. I have tried for 3 years to find the perfect boots. I always skirted around Frye because they were so expensive. Finally, I decided just to bite it and get a pair. This looked like the best style. I got the olive color and was worried it would be too green, but its not. It’s like the best of the gray mixed with brown. It’s a really good color. And unique, which I like, because I don't want to wear the same color boots as everyone else. I also love that there isn't a zipper. They are easy to get on and off. The only thing I will say is that the calf area is a bit snug. I have pretty thin legs and it fits right on my legs. I think the leather will stretch over time though. I really really love the style of this boot!! It’s great.

Oh my goodness, finally a pair of Fryes that are comfortable out of the box! I have long wanted to love Fryes, but blister after blister, I kept buying boots I just would never wear. I put these on and holy cow, that has changed forever. The footbed has a great cushion to it that makes these almost feel like sneakers. Nothing's tight or pinching, and it fits true to size (I wear a US 11). The boots are super flattering, leaving about an inch of space around my calves (making my knee socks look extra adorable), easy to pull on and they're a great neutral color that'll go with everything. I am going to wear these everywhere.

Love them. Have them in light beige. I have the Celia over the knee in blue and I love them too. They have worn well over two years so I bought these. I am 5'11" and have size 11 feet. I have pretty skinny calves and ankles, so finding boots that are a pull on that are flat and that don't gape and slouch is hard. The blue Celia Frye's I have must be tied under the knee or they fall down. These don't. Pros: Pretty easy to pull on for the style. Thick leather that wears well and for a pull on boot doesn't slouch very much, almost doesn't at all. Awesome quality. Good tread. Exactly as expected. Would buy again. Cons: (only minor) as my other Fryes did, they bothered my feet the first few wears. I think with thicker leather this is to be expected. Once you break them in, you're golden. They are a bit big around my ankles, but probably necessary to get them on. The pull tabs are not made for pulling them on. When I received them one was completely ripped off...clearly the buyer who had their hands on them before me broke it and it was missed by the Zappos team. In all fairness to Zappos I never reported it or returned them. I had a hard time getting these in my size and this color so I paid the local shoe guy $4 to fix it. But I never pull them on by the tabs...it would rip them out. They kind of make my feet look big, but then again they are!

I waited for months for these to come back in stock, and love them! They are incredibly soft and comfortable. I wear an 8, occasionally still 7½, and I went with the 7½ in these. I wore them out of the box on New Year's Eve and they were comfortable all night.

It's a Frye, so beautiful leather and style, but unlike other Frye boots that I've had to send back (so sad!) these actually comfortably fit my "athletic" calves. Yay! I went with my normal size 8 and the fit is pretty good; a tad bit tight in the toes and a little loose in the heel, but I think with some good socks and a bit of wear/stretching the fit will be fine. The gray color is gorgeous. Thanks, Zappos, for letting me send back all the other pairs of Fryes that had beauty but not the right fit for me.

Ordering from Zappos was a great experience! I can't believe how fast I got my boots! I have been looking at Frye boots for awhile now, and finally decided on the Celia X Stitch because they looked more comfortable. I received them today, and I love them. I ordered the Olive and they are the perfect color to go with anything! They are very comfortable as well! They are so soft and the leather is beautiful. I ordered my regular size 8.5 and they fit perfect. I will be wearing these boots all winter!

I love these boots! So many compliments, and the color goes with everything! Sizing was perfect for me. A little tight going on the first time, but leather stretches just enough. Great buy!

Yummy! Comfortable and made from buttery soft leather. The gray is a beautiful neutral color that will go with a lot different colors this fall. I did think they were a bit long. I usually wear a 7.5, and that's what I ordered. I don't think I could have worn the 7, but I don't mind a bit of extra room in the toes. Definitely would recommend to friends!

I just got these boots in the mail today and I absolutely love them! I have muscular calfs and have a hard time finding cute boots that fit. I got these boots in brown; and I am so happy with the boots that I will get them in grey. The shipping time with Zappos was also awesome!

I was looking for casual yet practical boots for the winter and have always wanted Frye boots. These are perfect! They have traction on the bottom and the leather is beautiful. It is soft and buttery. I have many tall black boots and the gray is a nice addition. I am a 7½ and the 7½ fits perfectly. I can even wear thicker socks with the boots. I cannot wait until it gets a little colder to wear them with my skinny jeans!

I bought these for my teenage daughter. She has always worn Uggs, but wanted something different - she is size 8 and the 8 fits her foot perfectly. A beautiful and high quality leather boot.

The boots are beautiful, and the color is nice. However, I have a skinny ankle and an athletic calf so they bunch at my ankle and are too snug on my calf. I can only wear them with leggings, and not over jeans. I had to return them. They were also a bit narrow and I am an 8.5 M normally.

These boots were LOVELY! I ordered the grey and I loved them. Unfortunately, they are very narrow so I had to return them for another style. I was impressed that the shaft fit my wide calf which is rare with taller boots. I am bummed these didn't work out but Zappos exchanged them with no problems. I must say this was one of the best online shopping experiences ever. :-)

I couldn't wait for my boots to arrive after I ordered. When I opened the box, they looked better than they did online.... until I put them on. It was a struggle to get my foot into the boot. Once I did, my foot was swimming in them! I wear an 8.5 and all the reviews at the time said they were true to size. No way! I ended up wearing them, with heavier socks, and am now stuck will them. I will never wear these again.

The color and fit of the boot are perfect. However, I have a fairly high instep and it took a lot of side-to-side, up and down, to get my foot past the heel portion of the boot. Once I did, the length and width were perfect for my foot. However, I believe that with the amount of abuse the leather was sustaining from my attempts to cajole my heel down into the foot bed would cause obvious wear and tear at the point where the soft leather meets the stiff heel. Unfortunately I am returning them.

I absolutely love my new Frye boots! I thought that I may need to return because they may not fit my 11½ feet, but I received them today and they fit! They look so much better in person, beautiful, well made, awesomely colored boots! I am very happy! Zappos rocks! I absolutely love my new boots!

These boots are phenomenal! They fit like they were custom made to my feet. That's really saying something considering I wear a size 11 and have a wider than average foot and am also cursed with high arches and a corresponding high instep. I wish most shoe manufactures would wake up to the fact that as people get bigger, their feet become larger as well. These boots don't have a lot of cushioning, but that shouldn't be much of an issue due to the low heel. They are fairly comfortable, right out of the box and I suspect they will become even more so after a few wearings. The quality is immediately evident. When I took them out of the box my husband looked at them and said: "Those are some expensive boots!"

I love these boots. I got the gray and they are very nice. I have tried other Fryes which either have little cushioning or are too narrow. These have a bit of cushioning and if anything are too big on my feet. I am a size 11 and Frye does not make an 10½ so 11 it is. There is a bit of heel slippage, but very little compared to other Frye boots and this may be because the 11 is a bit big on me though thick socks may solve this issue. I am quite tall so like flat boots. My feet are on the wider side and these fit comfortably.
