I usually wear a 7 1/2 or 8 medium. This shoe in an 8 was way too large. Luckily, my neighbor was happy to have it. She usually wears an 8 1/2.

These sandals do take a while to get used to but once you are used to them, they're great! Lots of support which is what I need.. I wear an 8 1/2 so I ordered a 9 and they were too big. Had to order the 8 which is so easy with Zappo's!!

I like these flip flops. I was experiencing heel pain after being on my feet for hours at a time indoors with no shoes on. These provide the needed arch support. Since I've been wearing them around the house instead of going barefoot, my heel pain has gone away. It does take a little getting used to if you are not accustomed to having the arch support. But it feels good to have the proper support. I normally wear an 8 1/2 and I was skeptical about sizing down, so I ordered the 9. If I purchase another pair of Orthaheel sandals, I will definitely size down. My 9's are a little big but wearable. The only thing I would like to change about these is that I would prefer a footbed that feels more like suede or fabric. After I work for hours cleaning the house, my feet perspire a little and it makes the footbed feel a little slippery. But they definitely serve the purpose that I bought them for.

It was a smooth online purchase and speedy delivery. The sandals are comfortable. However, it's not helping with my Plantar Fasciitis. They don't have the kind of support that I need. I'm keeping them for use as a pair of regular sandals. I still need to buy a pair of more comfortable sandals or shoes. I'm looking into Dansko.

These are very expensive, still vacillating whether worth the price or not, so far the soles haven't broken down like my Clarks did after wearing non stop for a month. But they just are a little heavy and awkward feeling. I think its the straps not built tight enough to your foot to hold the stiffer heavier footbed to your foot. I do really like the way they support so Orthaheel really needs to conquer that and they would have a great flip flop. But way over priced! But for those of us with plantar fascia, to be able to wear a pair of flip flops was willing to pay the price.

These are wonderful if you need serious arch support. The style is okay - a little bulky / sporty looking for my personal preference - but it is probably my love for sexy/sleek looking shoes that caused me to have foot and heel pain to start with. I felt very comfortable wearing these. A good value for the price.

This shoe had great arch support that was noticeable the minute you put them on. I bought them because I was experiencing the symptoms of plantar fasciitis. It's been about a month of wearing these this summer instead of my other flip flops and sandals, and now, my symptoms are gone. The look is plain and unimpressive, but they are sturdy and comfortable.

I've had four foot surgeries for bunions and hammer toes. Finding sandals that don't rub against scar tissue and offer the support I need is an issue. I absolutely love Orthaheel sandals and currently own three different styles. The Orthaheel Tide sandals are my 'dress' flip flops. They are very comfortable for walking and while standing for long periods of time at a social event. If you're looking for a fashionable, casually dressy and comfortable flip flop with great arch support, this is a good one to try!

I fractured my foot several years ago and was surprised to learn that this was due to my lack of arch in my foot. Although I could wear inserts in my other shoes to deal with this problem, obviously sandals present a problem. I was excited to learn about these sandals that would provide great arch support. They live up to their advertisement. The only negative comment I would mention is that they feel a little narrow. Not so bad that I would return them or it keeps me from wearing them, but I thought it is fair to mention and the only reason I did not give them five stars in all areas. This typically is not a problem for me as I wear a large shoe size, 10, and most regular shoes are fine and I have never had the need to order a wide width. I would still recommend these sandals.

I failed to mention in my previous review that I am a perfect 8 and a half (and narrow). They are still a little too wide for me but that's just how it goes. I purchased a size 8 and they are perfect. The 9's were just a little too hard to keep on (being even wider than the 8's). And overall clunkier because of the added length.

I'm 35 years old and looking young and at least somewhat trendy is important to me. These shoes are nice. Not too old fashion. I have had them over a month now and have worn them all day, every day since I got them. The first 4 days I had them, my left arch hurt (almost like the arch was too high). It was also rubbing a raw spot between my toes on that foot. I was feeling very discouraged at that point. My knees also hurt and I was starting to think the arch was too high for me. However, by day 5 or 6, it all went away. Recently, I wore one of my old wedge flip flops out to dinner and I felt as if my knees and ankles were turning in (felt strange). By the end of the night, I had some knee pain. I think my knees had pain in the beginning because I was misaligned before I got these. Details: I cannot wear these on a wet surface (like when I'm mopping my floor). They are extremely slick on wet tile or wood floors (but they were okay on the wet concrete at the pool). They are on the heavy side. I would like them to be a little lighter weight (but not a total deal breaker). They are noisier than my old foam flip flops (because they are so heavy, you can hear me coming). They just have this very dense feel to them. I would like the part my heel sits on to be more "cushy" and foam like. Lastly, I would like to see Orthoheel bling up their flips a little. While not old fashion, they could make them a little cuter. The ones with the flowers are okay but still a little old. If I were in my 20's, I'd never buy them. Everyone should be wearing a shoe that supports (I wish I had of started sooner). Lastly, I could really use a second pair but I can't afford it at this price, ouch! Overall, not perfect but I think you would like this shoe.

I've worn this flip flop for about a year and they are comfortable for a flexible flat foot, as mine is. However, I have found the toe post is positioned so far to the inner edge of the shoe that it throws my foot out of position. So my foot fits crookedly in the shoe. If you have a straighter foot, you might have this experience. I have worn my Tides for comfort's sake, but I hate the way my foot looks in them, and I won't be ordering another pair of Orthaheel flip flops. I do think I might order a pair of Orthaheel sandals in the future, however.

The foot bed of this shoe offered great support. Unfortunately, the strap is made of a substance that sticked to the skin on the top of my foot and rubbed it raw.

I am happy with the shoes. The have a much better arch and heel support. They are heavier than I bought they would be. But they seem to be very durable.

I have a mild to moderate case of plantar fascia. I bought these as flip flops to wear that would provide more support. They do that. They are rather plain flip flops, are comfortable though. My healthy foot hurt the first few days I wore these as the arch is quite high. My PF has not resolved although feels better when I wear these (as opposed to flat flip flops). For the price would have expected leather (as opposed to synthetic) styling.

Orthaheel makes the best arch support flip flop sandals that I have seen. I have bunions starting, and I'm trying to prevent them from getting worse without giving up style. Most other "health" shoes I've seen have that unattractive, unfeminine, and conservative look. Orthaheel sandals look like fashionable flip flops and they are good for your feet. I've bought the Tide and the Wave styles, and both are very comfortable but the sizes are a major issue for me. I wear a 7.5 and these don't come in half sizes. I've tried the 8 which is too big in length and the straps are extremely loose (and I have a wide foot!) causing the shoe to fall of my feet while walking. I ended up getting them in a 7 which is almost too short of a footbed, but at least the straps fit a bit tighter. I wish the company would create half sizes and tighten the straps and then I'd give them a 5 star rating.

This sandal looks great, but takes a lot of time to get used to and is still sometimes hard to the feel. But, try them if you need arch support and can't wear regular flip flops, because Zappos is awesome. I also bought a pair of Fit Flops which I did not like right away and I returned them with absolute ease through Zappos and awesome company to buy from. I recommend Zappos more than these sandals!

These are good shoes that have helped some of my foot problems, but be sure to only wear them a short time while you are getting used to them. They are much better for feet than the classic flip flop. The blue color is very denim-friendly.

I have lived in these since I received them! The arch support on these is the best I've seen. I only wish the heel cup felt more secure and snug and that the material of the footbed have a bit more bounce-back for shock absorption. Overall, they are the only flat flip flops I can tolerate, so that is saying something.

Just received my first pair of Orthaheel Flip Flops. The style and quality are excellent and the comfort is amazing! I would love to order a few more pair but they run about a half size short. I wear an 11, and sometimes a 10.5, and my heel goes all the way to the end. I'll walk around the house for a day or so to make sure but I don't think they're going to work for me. I already sent an email to the manufacturer asking (pleading actually) for them to make the "Tide" and other styles in a Size 12 for us tall girls.

I normally wear wide width shoes, but I've never had an issue when it comes to flip flops. However, these sandals are so tight that it feels like they're choking my feet. Sadly I must return. Otherwise good shoes with excellent arch support.

These flips are comfortable and fit like my orthotics! The only drawback is a strong plastic smell which I hope will dissipate over time and that is the reason I gave it a 4 star overall.

I am returning this pair of sandals. They are far too wide for my normal feet and the arch support is far less pronounced than others of this style.
