First off, if you have a narrow foot, don't bother ordering these. They are really wide even through they are "medium" width. The arch support is excellent. However, the shoe runs very large. I normally wear an 8, but the 8 that arrived was way too big. You have to go down at least one size. I wish there were half sizes and narrow widths. The weight of the shoe is light and comfy. Too bad mine have to go back because they are both too wide and too long.

Great arch support, but strap across is hard. There is also a square stitching to hold the two pieces together, and it really rubs on the top of the foot.

I really wanted to like these but they're just not that good looking. I ordered the pewter metallic color and while the strap is shiny the sole is a really dull ugly gray color. I'm not ultra stylish but shop at Banana Republic, J. Crew, etc and wear Nine West and Franco Sarto dress shoes. If you like those kinds of looks you probably will not like the looks of these flip-flops.

My foot is healing from a plantar muscle tear. This shoe was too heavy for me and caused pain in my arch. Will try another lighter weight style. Love Zappos service.

The arch support is very firm. I thought I might even get some slight bruising on one arch. The clincher that made me return the shoes, though, is that the band scratched against the top of my big toe. The material is very stiff. I am going to try another pair of Orthaheels, probably the Allegre in both 10 and 11. I hope one of them works. Thanks Zappos, for making shoe shopping a pleasure.

The shoe bed felt good and cradled my foot. Shoe is too wide and I am returning them.

Orthaheel Tide sounds and looks idea for support however they are quite stiff so didn't want to wear to see if they loosen up and mold to the foot like leather thongs so.

When you first try these on, they feel great and look pretty, but after wearing them all day I developed an intense pain in my arch. I couldn't wear them for days after that. Then I tried again and I could feel myself developing the same pain after about an hour. I am rather petite, normal weight and I don't have wide or weird feet or an odd gait. I do have somewhat of a flat foot, but never have any other shoes, even with extreme arch support, made my feet feel so awful. I didn't return them because after wearing them a few minutes I was convinced they were great and threw out all the packaging. I am still confused. Can a shoe have too much arch support? I am going to have to give these away.

I really wanted a supportive flip flop that was cute. I thought these would work, but the arch is way too high, and the straps are way too tight - and I have a foot that's a pretty average width! I'll have to try something else. Too bad!

After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to try these sandals out for myself. Well, in a nutshell they might be find for wearing around the house, but walking outside or shopping will not work for me. They flop around too much, and I have to make an effort to keep them on my feet. I will be returning these unfortunately, as I'm looking for a sandal I can wear out and about, and this is not the one.

I have another pair of Orthaheels that I love. I have flat feet, and I was looking for a decent flip flop. Just walking around the house, the strap rubbed the skin on the top of my feet raw. I love the footbed, and I had good luck with the other sandal style that has 3 velcro straps across, but I just can't seem to get along with any of the Orthaheel flip flop styles. This is the second style of Orthaheel flip flops that left me with serious blisters within minutes of light use. I think that regular flip flop straps are made out of leather or other soft materials for a reason - it's called skin friction!

I thought these flip flops looked great. However, the sole reason I purchased them was to help with plantar fasciitis and they did not help at all. They actually made my feet ache in many areas that I never had problems with before. Especially the ball of my foot and my big toe. I am very disappointed considering the cost. Bottom line - they are very uncomfortable and I don't recommend them.

These shoes have very pronounced arch support. It was too much for my foot and hurt after wearing for less than an hour. Thanks to Zappos it was easy to return them.

I need excellent arch support and wanted a sandal which didn't look orthotic, which is why I chose this one. The problem is the arch is super high and the sole does not bend much so you clump around in them - they are very uncomfortable. Perhaps I could have eventually gotten used to the arch, but combined with the inflexibility made me return them.

I thought these would be perfect, but no. Too much of an arch support, throws my foot to the outside. Very loose for a medium width. I'm returning. Gotta love Zappos.

I cannot believe that anyone could find Orthaheel sandals comfortable. Yes, they have great heel, arch support, but every one of the sandals has a raised bump design on the floor of the shoe. This makes walking in them for any length of time extremely painful. I don't know who had this idea, but they need to change to a smooth base. People who buy these shoes have foot problems. I am so disappointed--their slippers are a dream, but the sandals are a serious ouch!

I have very high arches and thought this shoe would do well for me. The arch in this shoe is too high for me. It throws my foot to far outward.

I was so excited for these sandals! But they hurt. They were really, really hard and the band on the top of the foot was really rough. I sent them back.

I have a condition that causes extreme heel pain. Initially upon trying these on, my heel pain actually became less noticeable, but within minutes I could not tolerate the pain caused by the arch support, which is awkwardly high and very solid. I have normal arches and I expected to have to get used to wearing a shoe made with a built in orthotic, so I tried them a couple of times during the past few weeks, but couldn't tolerate them for more than 5 minutes at a time - I finally gave up after I noticed that they were causing pain on the inner ball of my feet, which seemed to be from the fact that the high arches were causing an over correction of my feet alignment. I have since purchased the Crocs modi flip. It's not the most feminine looking sandal, but my main objective was to find footwear that would provide relief to my heel pain, and the modi flip does just that.

About 15 years ago I suffered tremendously from bursitis in my hips. It took me about 2 years to realize that the cause was a couple pairs of shoes that I owned. Once I got rid of those shoes, the pain went away. These Orthaheel Tide shoes brought the pain back in my hips. Something about them clearly tweaks my legs in a way that is irritating to my hip joints. They definitely don't work for me.

The first pair I bought were amazing. Then, of course, as usual, the foot bed was changed. It had more give before. Now the foot bed feels like hard plastic. Its awful. The arch support is great, if you like a really hard shoe surface.

I decided to give this shoe a try just to give my feet a break from my beloved FitFlops. I kept them, but they were clearly a mistake. My complaint isn't with the foot bed -- it's got good support although it's clearly not right for my flat feet. That's not the shoe's fault. My major complaint is the toe strap. It's way too short. So it makes the shoe very uncomfortable. I wear them as slippers and in the shower, hoping the strap will loosen up or stretch. But nothing yet. Unless you have a dainty foot, forget this shoe!

These are positively the most comfortable shoe. Earlier shoes I have purchased wore well. BUT the last two pairs have fallen apart. The sole comes apart from the bottom. This happened while just walking. And is seriously dangerous!

This shoe was not comfortable. It does offer great arch support, but the thong style caused the problem. I don't think I could wear them all day. I returned them and wouldn't buy this style again.

These shoes were very ill fitting. My feet and legs hurt the whole time I wore them. I should have sent them back but I do not know if I have the invoice information. I really need to exchange them for another pair.
