Finally, a sandal with serious arch support. I wore Mephisto Helens faithfully until they lowered the arch support, and Birkenstocks, while cute, just cause flareups of my plantar fasciitis. Finally, a true orthotic sandal in a flip-flop! I'm so glad Zappos is carrying these. I have a medium-high arch and high instep, and wearing these is such a pleasure. I've found that I need firm arch support to have any chance of beating plantar fasciitis pain, but I still want cute shoes! These are perfect for summer and provide excellent support for hitting the NYC sidewalks. Plus, the patent leather strip is cute, and the soles are very grippy. I am getting these in several colors. I also wear them around the house to keep my feet supported. Thanks again for carrying these Zappos - you have my business as usual!

You'd think there isn't a whole lot of difference among various flip flops, but you'd be wrong. I got a pair of Orthaheels based on various reviews here on Zappos, and I'm so glad I did. I normally wear MBT (rocker bottom shoes), but when I'm puttering around at home, I used to just wear regular slippers and sandals. Inevitably, my feet would start getting sore or tired, and it turned out it to be due to the sandals not having any support in them. Since I've switched to Orthaheel sandals, I've said good-bye to foot pain! I even actually pack these when I travel. It's a few extra ounces, but being able to walk around in my hotel room with arch-support sandals makes life so much better.

Got these in black. Expensive for a flip-flop, but well-made and very supportive (and cheaper than chiropractic). Shiny black makes it a little dressier than normal flip flops. Took about a week to break in the uppers. Bottoms are very supportive & I am already feel my feet, knees and back realigning (I got plantar fasciitis after being pregnant). I normally wear a 7.5 and got these in an 8, so I'd say order up if you're a half size.

Excellent selection of this product line, and size choice. These sandals (flip flops) run big order 1/2 size down. Wish the pricing could be competitive, but shipping and speed of delivery makes the difference with Zappos.

Orthaheel makes my feet feel supported better than any other footwear! With this order I will have 5 pairs in 5 colors. They are my slippers and everyday summer footwear. Having experienced strained arches and heel pain I can honestly recommend them.

Love this sandal! It was exactly what I was looking for. Simple and supportive. Only problem is that I have a flat, somewhat narrow foot. If you have a narrow foot this sandal will flop around and not provide the support you need. If I go one size smaller the sandals will be too short. Since Zappos.com is so awesome I won't have any trouble exchanging these for another style. Probably something adjustable.

Here in Southern California, flip-flops are worn year-round with almost anything (we're slobs!), but I have high arches and the cheaper rubbery type are too flat and make my feet ache. These Orthaheel sandals fully support my feet. If your arches haven't been supported for a while, they will seem very firm, even a bit painful at first, so don't ignore the breaking-in instructions. I normally wear an 8.5 shoe and purchased an 8, which was perfect. After a few days of gradually increased wear time, I love them now and can walk for hours without pain.

I usually wear a 7.5 and and the 7 fits me great. Someone else said opposite so it obviously depends on what "side" of 7.5 you're on. Shoe is comfy and feels form fit. I don't have to hang on to the shoe when walking to keep in on my feet. Can take the stairs pretty quick in them. Arch support is prominent and firm. I love this because it feels like my orthotic inserts. I have the pewter/metallic color and really like the look of that. They'll go with everything without looking to casual or dressy. They're still flips of course but these days you can wear them any place. I plan to get another pair in a different color.

I was lucky to find Zappos had exactly the same kind of Orthaheel that I was using and my local store did not have them any more. So I called and ordered. Would you believe they were here the next day. I misjudged the size and called to see what to do. By the next day I had the other size and I was just mailing the first order back. They were considerate, keep their word and were prompt, very prompt. I will order from Zappos again.

This flipflop was very painful within seconds. I am a seasoned flip flop wearer but the piece between the toe drew blood. I do not know how comfy the sole was because within 5 minutes the toe strap peeled my skin, also not too cute or a bit mannish. Dr. Weil endorses these...shock.

I had to put my five star review in on this! I live in South Florida near the beach and practically live in flip-flops year round. These are my first pair of Orthaheels and they were comfortable right out of the box. However, it took the bottoms of my feet a few days to get acclimated to them. On the fourth day, I spent three hours walking in them at the mall. I have a very bad back, and usually this activity kills me. But I noticed that my back did not hurt as much as usual that night. I do not have bad feet. I purchased these because I want to prevent that. And too, in hopes that they will help my back, which I think they do. These are your every day flip-flops and they do not look like orthotics so any age can wear them. Definitely size down. After the material between the toes eases up, your feet will move forward a bit. I do not recommend these for narrow feet. I am a medium width, and I still have a smidgen of room on the sides, plus they are a tad bit more sloppy than what I have been wearing.

Got these a few weeks ago and have lived in them ever since. They do take a bit getting used to if you're only used to wearing regular flip flops with no arch support. My knees and lower back felt better the first time I wore these. Make sure if you're a half size that you size down. When your arches are supported your foot length is slightly shorter.

This is my second pair of Orthaheel Tides. I wore the first pair so much that I wore them out! These flip flops rock! I wouldn't be able to wear normal flip flops since I have terrible flat feet; my feet pronate and constantly hurt. These shoes are supportive and comfortable. Great for walking on the beach in sand too! They may feel a bit odd at first because they aren't flat like most flip flops, but give them a chance and you won't regret it!

I ordered these sandals because my podiatrist sells them at his office. I had bunion surgery and knew I needed to have a 'healthier' flip flop. While I recover I have been wearing just one and can't wait until I can wear both. I did not want an orthopedic looking flip flop and these are perfect...so cute no one would know they are good for my feet. I am sold and feel that the price, while higher than I usually pay, is completely worth it. I am about to order a little dressier one.

I recommended this for flat footed people. Lots of support. Wish it came in half sizes. Orthaheel needs to come up with cuter design fits for teenagers and young adults.

I liked the shoe; however, I have a narrow foot. It felt like a man's medium instead of a women's medium.

Excellent arch support. The only other pair of shoes that are similar in support are my Dansko clogs, but who wants to wear those all summer? My feet are happy! I only wish they were a bit more feminine (I have the bronze pair), but they are perfect for around the house!

Life-changing footwear! These flip-flops are ultra comfortable with extraordinary arch support. I live in them!

This is the most comfortable sandal that I have ever put on my foot. I bought them while on vacation 3 weeks ago and have not taken them off since! I want all colors now. I have been buying "Fit Flops" but these are so much better for your feet. The arch support makes them the ideal sandal for everyday wear. I can't speak more highly of them!

I live in flip flops and have flat feet. I just discovered the Orthaheel Tide, and they are awesome! I bought them in brown and liked them so much that I bought a black pair as well. They're worth the money!

OK. I have a bunion and have been in pain for a week that has left me limping and sick to my stomach. It's not just the bunion that hurts, it's the base of my first metatarsal. I read the reviews and ordered these flip flops. I've been wearing them for 1/2 hour and my pain is gone. I mean it has disappeared totally. I am flabbergasted. I'm trying to put off the surgery and this might help. My only gripe? I wish the strap covered the bunion! I'd like to hide it. I think I'm going to try and attach some material somehow. But regardless I love these. I usually take a 7 1/2 and the 7 fit fine. Highly recommend to anyone dealing with bunion pain/foot pain at all.

This shoe has saved my feet. I had tendonitis and various other problems and could barely walk. With a little bit of physical therapy and these shoes, I am pain free and back to normal. This shoe aligns my feet perfectly. I love these shoes!

These are probably the best sandals I have ever owned. I suffer from plantar fasciitis, and I was looking for some comfortable flip flops to wear around the house, since it's preferable to going barefoot. I can't tell you how much these have helped my feet! They have the best arch support out of any shoe I've ever had (not just sandals). Believe the hype -- they are amazing! They do feel a little funny when you first try them on, but don't be dissuaded. You adjust very soon and they feel heavenly. They helped me greatly reduce my PF flare-ups. I will be buying these in every color when spring rolls around. If you have high arches and/or PF, do your feet a favor and get these. Yes, they are pricey, but they are worth every penny.

I really am happy that I found these sandals! I have fasciitis, heel spurs and arthritis in my feet. So I cannot wear just any sandal. These are so comfortable, and give me the support that I need. I never want to take them off, make my feet feel great! True to size also. Love them!
