I'm very happy with these shoes. They're very comfortable and are very stylish. They also came earlier than expected which made me very happy. I would definitely order from Zappos again.

I bought these for my 82 year old father who needed them for therapy after open heart surgery. He had another New Balance shoe but it was too heavy for him. After reading other reviews, we ordered these and like the others, this is the only show he wears now. Had to exchange for a larger size due to a callous on his foot, but Zappos is the BEST at customer service. Here the next day!

These shoes are perfect for those with wide feet and who have dexterity issues. New Balance is the only brand that fits my stepson's feet comfortably. I do not bother looking at any other brand for him.

Doing business with Zappos is one of my preferred ways of shopping...because they are there for you. They know they will make money because it is not what drives their business model...the money will come because they give you such a wonderful shopping experience that you want to come back again and again and again. If you can get it from Zappos, then you don't want to spend your money elsewhere.

These shoes are extremely comfortable, easy on and easy off. Good looking, too. These shoes were a replacement for a lesser expensive pair that was not satisfactory due to narrow tongue that irritated top of my foot. Zappos was better than first rate in accepting the exchange and paying for return shipping!

My husband will wear no other sneakers! They keep him balanced, and with neuropathy in his feet, these are the lightest and most comfortable for walking. He wears them everywhere!

Great shoes for my dad. He is 90 and can't tie his own shoes anymore. The velcro is essential. He is comfortable and happy. Thank you.

Diabetic and two bad knees. Found this shoe to best serve my needs. This pair replaces worn out pair.

I ordered these shoes for my 91 year old father. He says they are comfortable and he likes the way they look. I wish the Velcro straps were longer as it is a bit of a challenge for him to tug and align the male/female sections. The straps are narrow.

Comfortable shoes are hard to find. Wide feet, 4E, Morton's neuroma, and bunion all contribute to the issue of comfort. These shoes did the trick and could wear them all day. Liked them so well, got right back online and ordered a black pair.

Very comfortable shoe to walk in. Bought a shoe in medium, it was too narrow so sent it back and bought the wide (EE) shoe which fits perfectly. Shoes arrived very quickly and the return and refund were quickly processed. The only problem with the shoe is that the velcro straps are too short. Only half the velcro hooks mesh. New Balance considers itself a premier shoe maker with a commitment to quality. I agree the shoe is well made and therefore do not understand why the straps are short. I will keep the shoes because of their excellent comfort but am disappointed with the poor quality control.

I have read other reviews about the Hew Balance Hook-and-Loops describing how the straps in many cases were not longer enough to cover the upper part of the foot. This was NOT true of the 812. Position the tongue so that the logo is centered, then close the Velcro straps. I wear 4E (extra wide) shoes and they fit quite comfortably. And for air travel, much easier to remove and replace than lace ups.

I love my Zappos Hook & Loop shoes. As a 75 year old, dealing with MS, I really appreciate not having to tie a shoe. Plus, the ones I buy are made in the good old USA!

The shoes are excellent and very comfortable. My only suggestion to the manufacturer is to make the hook and loop tabs longer. The service I received from Zappos could be rated a "10." If I order shoes over the internet again, it will be from Zappos.

I always get shoes that have narrow widths because I have narrow feet. This shoe is actually too narrow for me! I have never had that experience with narrow shoes before!

New Balance is made in US, not in a Chinese sweatshop. The toe room allows me as a diabetic, to avoid expensive custom shoes. Needs about 2 weeks to stretch, tight at first, OK later.

I bought this shoe at the New Balance store in Tulsa OK. They did not have it in stock so they ordered it. Actually bought 2 pairs white and bone. When I received them and tried one on I noticed first that the heel was very narrow. Secondly when I tried to attach the Velcro strap it would not reach the hook part. The hook part of the Velcro is about an inch in length and at the end of the strap. Why wouldn't NB make the hook part longer? I wear a size 12 4E. Can't recommend this shoe to people with a wide foot.

The 812 is a cheapened version of the 811, which I've bought for years. The straps are too short. My guess is the length of these straps are the same regardless of shoe size. You let me down New Balance.

This shoe is comfortable but the tongue will not stay in place. On both shoes the tongue works its way to the insole side of the shoe. I wore them for half a day and it drove me nuts. I have worn New Balance since I was a kid and this is the only New Balance shoe I have ever had that I was not delighted with.

Still fairly comfortable but not as comfortable as MW811s. Straps are shorter and do not reach across all the way. Each new version from New Balance is cheaper than the last. Zappos service very good.

I've been wearing New Balance shoes for 20+ years. Made in USA is an important factor in my purchasing decisions however I'm a little disappointed in the MW812. This shoe is not made of leather & seems to have very little arch support, for a walking shoe yet they are very comfortable right out of the box. However I noticed the straps have gotten noticeably narrower & it appears the shoe tongue has also been re-sized so it barely fits under the sides of the shoes making it difficult to tuck in properly. I could understand these cost cutting measures in a budget priced shoe but these are more. Personally I'd rather pay a few dollars more then see the shoe cut quality and comfort. I'd suggest looking at the comparable Brooks model.

I like everything about these shoes except that the straps (on my shoes pnly??) are sewed on backwards. The top strap comes loose because there is only maybe 1/4" of the velcro hook material to attach to. I have to pull the strap tighter then I'd like just to hook it.

The straps for closure are way too short. Only kept the shoes because of comfort.

What are you thinking? I love much of this shoe except the insanely short Velcro straps. They look like they are designed to look "nice" in the pictures but are woefully too short for practical use. Fix this if you expect me to ever order another New Balance in this style.
