Bought for my husband He loves them. Great for the airport for security and for those who have trouble bending.

This is a very comfortable shoe and it is easy to get on.I had both of my knees replaced so it is hard for me to tie shoes,but these hook and loop straps work very nice.My feet are happy so I am happy.

These are good, well-built shoes that are sturdy and stable. But New Balance seems to have a hard time in quality control of its sizing. You have to try them on; do not believe what the box says. The Velcro straps are chintzy. I take a rather wide size, and have a thick arch and ankle. Often, the strap is not long enough to hold if I walk at all swiftly. New Balance was my first and nearly only choice for years. They need to address their sizing issues.

Absolutely one of the stiffest shoes I've ever purchased. Rubbed my foot almost raw the first week, then broke in fine. No cushion on the sole of the footbed. Like the velcro, though.

Have owned these shoes for years (this style). Great. Great product. Did I mention the company is A-1? No other place than Zappos.

These shoes were true to size and are very comfortable, even more so than the earlier model. Always find New Balance is reliable for quality and comfort. Zappos' delivery was timely and arrived in perfect condition.

I was looking for a new walking shoe by New Balance and found exactly what I wanted at Zappos. After visiting a New Balance store to verify my size, they helped me find the style and color I wanted - then I went to Zappos.com to place my order. Simple!

I now have my 4th and 5th pair of the New Balance 812's. They are long lasting and comfortable with orthotics inserted. The straight last is hard to find, but these shoes have it. The bottom contour is easier to clean than other NB shoes I have had.

I bought these for my 82 year old father after he had a total knee replacement and went to rehab after his surgery. He needed a high quality, comfortable and easy to put on pair of shoes. These met all of the necessary requirements. I also ordered the Brooks Addiction Walker V-Strap shoes at the same time to see which were better and these were superior from every aspect.

I love these sneakers. I wear then every day as my main walking shoe. I love that I don't have to tie them. I have feet that are pretty flat and these sneakers give me the support I need.

I had previously owned a lace pair of these shoes and I thought I would try a pair with the Hook & Loop. I have walked about 50 miles in these shoes and find them comfortable, secure on my feet and required no break in. The additional benefit of these shoes is many people have complimented me on the look of the shoe. As usual service at Zappos was and is outstanding.

I liked the closures. It is very difficult to find adult shoes that have velcro closures. I also like that they are available in white and black as well as beige.

This is my 3rd pair of these shoes...very happy with them. I like to quick on/off capability of the hook and loop design. Shoes very comfortable.

Got 2 pairs for my dad. This is the only shoe he feels comfortable with and wears them all day every day for years. He is 75 years old and very active and needs absolute comfort. This is the one and only for him and will not even try anything else anymore.

My dad is 87 and needs comfortable shoes that are easy to put on each day. The New Balance shoe was the charm. He has worn Sass and found these to be comparable. He is so thrilled about his new black shoes, he wants them in white.

I purchased these shoes to slip on for yard work, get the paper, etc. Specifically purchased the Velcro model so that it was easy to put on. I fasten the straps for longer chores but just leave them hanging to get the paper, etc. I have a narrow foot and NB has a decent selection plus these are made in the USA. Great shoe, I would recommend to anyone. Of course they might be a bit dorky being Velcro but they function as desired.

All of my other shoes have been medium width. These had to be returned to get the wide size. Why has New Balance not done anything about this?

Overall, I am very pleased with the MW812 shoes. With diabetic neuropathy in my feet the extra details give added comfort and support. The only negative is that the straps seems to be a little shorter than the straps on the MW575 shoes, which are very similar in style and have held up well since I bought them over five years ago from Zappos.

Great shoe for older or younger man. Good true fit and well made. Will buy another pair in another color.

I purchased these shoes for my father as he was having trouble tying his shoelaces on his other work out shoes. He only wears these shoes now for working out. I wish they came in other colors other than just black and white.

My husband loves these shoes. So comfortable and easy to fasten with the Velcro. His feet were quite swollen so had to order wide width because of health issue.

My husband loves these shoes. He has plantar fasciitis and these make all the difference in the world to him. This is his second pair and he is not bothered by the foot problem at all anymore!

I have bought these shoes for two 85+ year old men in my life (Dad and Uncle). The support is fabulous in the sneaker and the hook/loop closure enables them to easily get in and out of their shoes on their own. Highly recommended for seniors. Very durable too!

I bought these for my husband. He has a wide foot and refuses to go shopping. Zappos.com solves this problem as they offer a 4E width and they always fit with "no complaints." Fast delivery! delivery.

I bought this for my over 80 year old dad. This is his favorite shoe brand and style for everyday wear. They are very comfortable and durable, with the added bonus of Velcro closures which make fastening the shoes much easier for those with arthritic hands. Unlike prior pairs of these shoes, he required half a size larger than his normal shoe size, so perhaps they have changed the sizing some. I had to reorder the shoes in an 11½ rather than his usual size 11. Like past pairs the Velcro straps across the tongue seem a bit short at first but they stretch in length over the first month, so I would recommend buying your regular width. My father wears a narrow B width and these shoes fit perfect. I highly recommend them.
