Beautiful, beautiful leather - back does slip out but that is how to wear 'em. I'm liking more room in the toe box, so back to engineer boots and Docs! Get 'em if you don't mind it!

The color was not red, but Pink! Uh-oh. Not like the picture. Returning them. They do actually have a red option, I have seen it in a store. The zipper is not necessary, it slips right on and off easily. Other than that, a very nice boot! Super comfortable and cute.

These Ariat "Billie" boots are great looking. I've always liked a 'short' boot, yet wanted it to also have a zipper -- for ease of putting on/getting off. Moreover these are Red, and leather too. Yes, as others have noted it comes as dusty 'red' but that can be remedied...just work on them with a soft rag & you can also put on some red leather cream polish to help. After 3 years of looking, I am relieved to find these. Size is nearly spot on -- as I wear 9 or 9.5 -- but if you have to choose, I suggest going for the 'smaller' version. (Actually I ordered the 9 and the 9.5 and have since decided that only the 9 works, the 9.5 would always require thick socks.) Being leather they will definitely stretch out. Stretching isn't possible with leather-like shoes -- Leather "like"? Makes me think of being a "little" pregnant. (Fake leather never stretches, holds in moisture & I don't know, but it hits me as akin to swaddling my feet in chemicals & then leaving them there all day long, while the more I sweat, the more gunk gets taken into my body -- our skin is our largest organ -- nope, just doesn't sound healthy. I give 4 stars on comfort as I am still breaking these in, at home...the size I really need is 9.25. Lastly, Zappos is really the bomb to work with.

AWESOME! My first pair of boots, and I love them! Couldn't decide on color--loved them all. Ordered in black, and now see two more colors...YAY! They were comfortable right out of the box, no breaking-in time for me. I am a curvy girl, and worried they would be too narrow...but they fit great. I wear a size 10, and ordered a 10, perfect. Surprisingly, they have super arch support, too. I am thrilled all around with these boots!

This is my 5th pair of Ariat boots; I have two pairs of Ropers, and two pairs of normal Western cowboys. I've been loyal to the brand for 10 years because they make such a high quality boot with good leather. I love these Billie boots - they're comfortable right out of the box, and I like that I can wear them with anything. They're my go-to boot now, and I know I'm going to order another pair. Many people reviewing say that these run a half size large, which is what I thought as well, but they are true to size. Cowboy boots are supposed to have a little give and slip.

I love these boots so much I have them in tan, black, and the deep red. Deep red is especially delightful! They are comfortable and stylish and very easy on-and-off. I've owned lots of "cowboy" style boots and love Ariat, but find this style especially awesome for work.

Wore these right out of the box, and they were very comfortable. Well-made and just the style I wanted. Particularly love the short boot top, as they fit better under pants.

Nice boot, very nice leather, didn't work for me but just because of my foot problem. Seemed like they would be. Great and well made.

Got these to wear to wedding that is informal, and have worn to 2 other occasions. Whatever! These boots are made for partying and they look exactly as they do pictures. Color exactly like that in photo. Great fit. Maybe not made for walking a lot. I put an insole in mine, but usually I do that.

I'm very pleased with the Ariat Billie boot I ordered. It's very comfortable, especially for a wide foot and it's so stylish! I've worn with shorts as well as dresses and receive compliments every time I wear them. I highly recommend to those looking for a western style boot with style, comfort and a short length.

Great Boots! Comfy and padded inside, perfect height not to 'bump' your chins. True to size. Love Ariats! Debated between these and the Fatbaby's and glad I chose this style.

These are cute boots, and the red is pretty much as it appears on my monitor--a soft red, but certainly not pink. The width feels true to size, but I followed the advice of other reviewers and ordered down a half size. I shouldn't have. I ordered the 7M, and the arch length is too short. I will need the 7.5M; sadly, that size is currently sold out. However, I do recommend these boots for their quality and style. I like classic, traditional styles, but I decided I would try something like this for fun. I do recommend them, but I don't think you need to size down.

Really cute boot and very comfortable. Problem for me was the very, very wide opening at the top. It is excessively big. Tried a variety of jeans with the boots to see if they would work. No luck. They have to go back.

Beautiful boots. Pair I recieved were vibrant red (not pink at all). Haven't worn them yet. Hope they stretch. Sz 7 was too big - my whole foot was coming out of them. 6.5 is tight but I hope they stretch.

I first purchased the red Billie boot. I always wear a size 9 med. Reviews said order 1/2 size smaller so I purchased the 8 1/2 instead of 9. The fit is perfect! The boot has a nicely cushioned footbed and comfortable arch support. I have 4 pair of Frye boots, this boot is a better fit and more comfortable. My friend has a wide foot and purchased her regular size which fit perfect. I loved these boots enough to order the black which arrived today. For people having a problem with the black and red colors, I polished my boots with Frye paste boot polish. I now have real red and real black boots, they are beautiful. My advice is to use Frye boot polish only. It's colorless so it does not change color of stitching on upper boot. I used a different boot polish on a pair of Frye boots and it ruined them. I definitely recommend the Ariat Billie boot!

Another great boot from Ariat. I work with horses for a living so I'm either riding or walking all day every day and these boots not only hold up to my use but are stylish and comfortable as well!

I looked for a long time to find a comfortable, durable, lower heeled cowgirl boot. These are the ones I chose. Black ones are cute too it was hard to decide, I really only needed one pair so they went back to Zappos.

Beautiful, nicely made. Very comfortable and little break in required. For the price, it's a good little boot. Size down 1/2 size for fit with medium weight sock.

I love these boots! Yes, I admit, I actually squealed when I opened the box. I'm going to wear them to death, with skirts, jeans, shorts (!) they're that cute and versatile. I didn't realize the subtle blue stitching, which I love - just enough for some color but not enough to clash. They of course live up to the Ariat name, which in a word means comfort. Very well made, they will last for years, and only get more and more character with age. I wore them today and have already had to do several flights of stairs - no problem! They are airport worthy and great for a lot of walking. I really want them in red too!

I love Ariat, and although these are cute, they don't fit like typical Ariat boots. The "leg" of the boot is huge (and I'm no Twiggy). The heel slips big time when I walk. I will keep them but they aren't my favorites as far as comfort, so I'm afraid I won't be wearing them all that often.

These are nice looking short cowgirl boots & a good price too! I wear a size 7m in boots but these felt a half size larger so am returning them for the 6.5m They a comfortable, no rubbing of my toes with the slightly pointed toe box. Perfect for the warmer weather.

I am in love with these boots! I had no experience with the brand Ariat, but I read up on them on their website. Very impressed. I almost went the practical route and got brown boots, but I'm glad I followed my heart and went with the red. They are beautiful. I get so many compliments every time I wear them. With jeans, they look like "regular" boots that go up to the knee, but since I bought them mainly for dancing (Cajun, Two-step, etc.) I didn't want my legs getting hot, so I was really looking for a mid-calf boot. These did not require any breaking in. They were comfortable from the second I put them on. Inside they feel like Dansko or Born, and on the outside they look like regular cowboy boots. All this and they were on sale.
