Awesome work boot! This is my fourth pair of the Pittsburghs and they rock. I have wide, flat feet and these boots are extremely comfortable, including the safety toe right out of the box. The only con to these boots is their durability:( After working in rugged terrain and rough conditions the sole starts to de-laminate and peel away after about 6-7 months of daily abuse. These boots are great for folks who are on their feet all day every day.

I'm a maintenance tech for a very large company in the U.S. My job takes me to some of the nastiest places you can dream up. Wet, hot, cold and sometimes just plain gross. These boots never failed me in the worst of the worst. I love them in every aspect possible and would recommend them to anyone who demands the best so they can be their best. I had them for a year now and the only reason I'm getting new ones is because there is just so many chemicals a shoe can take before it starts to fail, but you can bet the next ones will be Keen.

After 30 years in construction trades, and 30 years of miserable feet - heels, toes, and everything in between - I finally found boots that do what they should do... protect my feet and keep me safe at work. These boots are the most comfortable I have ever worn. Short of sneaking on the job site in sneakers, I have never "forgotten" that I had on steel toed shoes in the middle of the day. These feel so good I am wearing them even when I do not need to have them on. When is the last time anyone wanted to wear steel toes to the store? Plus, the lace up lets me choose between cooler thin socks and warmer thick socks. And they are waterproof. I mean really waterproof. Like pressure-washer proof. I have been wearing them about a month now and they still look new. How will they do after a year? I do not know and I do not really care. If I have to buy a pair every year that is what I will do. Anything is better than sore, tired, cramped feet, and blistered raw and cut up toes from lousy steel caps every day. Thank you, Zappos, for introducing me to Keen, and thank you, Keen, for making boots that I can wear whenever I want, not just when I am forced to put them on. This is the definition of safety wear - something that makes the job easier, safer, and increases productivity and reduces lost time while making the worker more comfortable and safe at the same time.

Great boots. Comfortable right out of the box. Have worn these boots daily for 3 months and have not had any issues. The only drawback is they a little warm on hot days. I would buy these boots again.

I loved these boots, comfortable right out of the box. Tough, great protection on tow and even heel. I smashed the back of my foot pulling a loaded cart of material and was pleasantly shocked that there was zero pain. I had done the same thing in other boots and fell to the ground in agony. My only problem with these boots, and it is a big one, and the reason I will not buy another pair, is that the top 6 lace clips are made of a pot metal type material. I do electrical work, and am often on my knees with my feet kinda tucked under me, and in all my boots they always get crushed. Normally I would just slip a screwdriver, or whatnot in there and pry them back open no big deal. On these, they break, period. So I have these great boots, I love, with like 1 of the top 6 lace thingys broken and I have to wrap the laces around the boot, and they slide up around the top of my ankle by the end of the day. It's on my list of things to do to take them to the local cobbler and have them all replaced with brass ones or something that does not crush, but be warned, that really stinks. They are 2 years old and still in great shape, but right now, with the broken lace clips, they are comfortable, safe, boat anchors. Out of the warranty period.

This is a great boot; it is warm if you are going to be wearing it in the Summer daily. Very little break-in time, comfortable and waterproof so far: we'll see in a few months. I know where they're made, but I love the product.

I have bought top of the line boots in RedWing and they fail miserably when compared to the Pittsburgh. I am only writing this to you because I have owned a pair for 18 months now and have worn them every day for construction. When I get home my feet feel like I was at the beach. Hands down best work boot ever. I have tried them all and I will never buy anything different.

I've worn these boots every day for almost a full year now. These boots have been very comfortable and have never caused me any reason to want to switch. After a year, the only signs of wear are in the red portions of the tread in the front of the boot (maybe a different rubber compound from the black?). I had to replace one lace, but these were shipped with spares, so even that wasn't an issue. Unlike in other steel toed boots that I have worn in the past, the steel toe box never impinged my toes. In fact, these boots are so attractive, I have been asked if they comply with our company's steel toe boot policy. The heel pad on one boot has a leak and squeaks a little with each step, but that is because it was punctured by a metal chip a few months back and is not due to any defect. Despite that, these boots remain extremely comfortable. I will definitely be ordering another pair when my company's replacement period arrives!

Love these boots. We moved a few months back, and the new house has a yard, garage, and other areas all in need of some serious project work. And these are serious boots to help facilitate that work. On the first wearing, I had them on for nearly twelve hours, and they felt great. I thankfully have not dropped anything on the steel toes, yet, but they feel substantial, so I am not worried. In sum, these are great, all-around work boots.

I ordered these boots because my Danners had lost all traction and because I need a wide shoe. It only took a brief break-in period for these to feel comfortable enough to wear all day (to work or on the wet days we get in Seattle). They are definitely comfortable enough to wear all day (although the Superfeet insoles probably help with that as I have them in pretty much all of my shoes due to flat feet). With these I can walk or hike in complete comfort and have no problems! The width (EE) fits me perfectly and they are definitely waterproof. The steel toe portion has not been a problem either (I've had other boots where it felt like it dug into the top of your foot). It'll take a couple of years of wearing for me to decide if I will get another pair of Keens, or will try Danner again as they were slightly more comfortable boots (but not steel toed) and some models have the option to be re-soled after use.

I'm on my third pair of these boots and just love the comfort and protection. I have very flat and fussy feet and these boots are great. I wear them for motorcycling, like the steel toe feature to keep my toes safe from the occasional flying object I encounter!

These are the most comfortable work boots I have ever worn. I work in a shipyard and my feet take a pounding all day every day. They needed no break in, and are holding up very well after several months. Highly recommended.

I have every painful feet. I would never be capable of working on a ladder due to the pressure and pain I had. These boots are most excellent , on ladders for hours no pain, on concrete floors all day no pain.

I am roughly 215 lbs and I work at an airport. I wear a 10.5 wide. I am constantly walking on hard concrete and have to work in a variety of conditions. These boots do a great job with keeping the feet dry. They offer very good support. The break in period is probably the shortest I have experienced with boots.

Since having to wear steel toe boots since 1990, I have had my share of experiments. I have had foot and ankle problems in the past, I have had custom made boots from the PNW made for me to hide the problems. At this price, those boots were not even close to the comfort of the Pittsburgh. The large toe box absolutely pays off. Worth every penny. And I will no doubt be a repeat buyer of this product!

I got these boots for my husband who is a rigger. He loves them, and many of his co-workers in the union have asked about them. He has a wide foot and needs a sturdy but comfortable work boot that is good on ladders, electricity safe, and reinforced toes. He is beyond happy, and that makes me a very satisfied customer.

Just got these the other day. I work in sales in an industrial setting and usually wear other Keens or some other hiking boots. I needed steel toes for some new locations. Keen builds an amazing product. These Pittsburgh boots were so comfortable right out of the box. They felt broken in. Not stiff at all. Other steel toed boots feel heavy and stiff. These have a nice/natural rounded toe that makes walking natural. I love them.

Best out of box boot ever! I'm on my feet 6 days a week in and out of trees, and the ergonomic insoles have been great. My feet never get sore anymore, and I'm a retired Infantryman! My feet always hurt in military boots, but these Keen's keep my feet happy! They also saved my foot when I ran a 460 blade across the top of the boot it didn't cut through!

Hands down the best and most comfortable boots I've ever owned. And I've owned some big name boots! I prefer these to Danners, Ariats, Dr. Martens, Wolverine, North Face, and Sorels to name drop a few. All excellent boots, but these are most stylish, comfortable and weatherproof!

Comfortable, virtually no break in -- I spend all day on my feet, primarily waking around on concrete floors, and these boots help the days go by easily.

I work in a factory where the floors are super slippery and the conditions are always damp. I have tried several other work boots and none of them held up longer than a few months. Some did not keep the water out, did not breathe so my feet were still soaked from sweat, thread on bottom wore out, or just plain fell apart (soles separating from shoe, etc). I have had these boots for three months now and they are absolutely amazing. Not only are they the best work boot that I have ever owned but probably the best footwear that I have ever had. I do not slide on the floors, my feet are not even wet from the water. They are 100 percent waterproof and yet breath like tennis shoes. Seriously my feet are not even damp from sweat. Buy these boots!

I am an avid hiker. Hikes usually include a 50+ pound backpack on trails that are both rocky and very hilly. Boots of choice have been Montrail Heliums. These boots are truly limousines for the feet, and I thought they were the ultimate for comfort and support. Until now. I recently ordered the Keen Pittsburgh for work. I am a Safety Coordinator in a large manufacturing facility and routinely log 8 to 12 miles of concrete, stairs, ladders, steel walking surfaces; etc per day. Work boots take a pounding as do my feet. These Pittsburghs are my new limos. I will even consider using them on hikes with heavy weight. They are truly much more than I expected when I placed the order. I haven't tested their waterproof effectiveness yet, but if performance in the support, and comfort categories is any indication, they will be totally dry. I'll post a review on that part after our first drenching rain. Thanks Keen for the great boots, and thanks Zappos for getting them to me in 2 days...for free.

I'll be ordering Keen flip flops soon to wear around the house.

First off, I initially ordered the Cleveland in a size 13, but was sent a size 9. Zappos took care of it pronto! Then when the size 13 arrived, the left boot was longer than the right boot, so I had to call back and then just went with the Pittsburgh in a 13. What an excellent boot. I work as a Pipe Foreman in the Oil Fields in Utah, and have worn Ariat Steel Toes for the past 2 years. I liked the Ariats, but over time you just seem to end up stomping around in them. Even with Gel Insoles, they lose comfort and for their price that is unacceptable. So, upon first look at the Pittsburgh, they look great. Soft leather and the soles are thick and sturdy looking. After putting them on the first day, I knew I made the correct choice. The Footbeds in these boots are outstanding. They form around and under your foot. They are lighter than the Ariats, and that's a plus when your working for 14-16 hour days. My feet don't ache at all, and they don't tire out. I can go all day in these boots and then some. I no longer worry about my feet and lower legs aching at the end of a long day. I will buy Keens from now on.

Bought these for my husband who is working out in the elements. He was able to start wearing them the day he got them with no breaking in time! Says they are very comfortable, breathable, and we both wonder why we didn't get these years ago! Great boots and he highly recommends.
