I got these to wear for pulmonary rehab and they are perfect. Easy to put on and fasten for those of us who can no longer handle shoestrings. Comfortable too.

I purchased this sneaker for my elderly mother who needs a sturdy, easy to get on and off sneaker. This sneaker ran very small in size and width. Plus there was not enough length on the velcro closures to properly wear the shoe.

Having worn New Bal with laces for years, she began tripping over the laces. These shoes solved that problem. They are comfortable stylish.

Extremely comfortable shoes. I have had polio and my leg brace fits inside these shoes. They are study and provide great ankle support. The insoles are throwaways, but I have my own orthotics anyway. The tongue extends up the ankle, which I did not find comfortable, but I just cut off the part that hurt my foot. Works fine. Nice toe box, no pinching.

Great service, fast delivery and great shoe. No complaints just praise - wide enough toe box, not like other shoes.

The New Balance WW577 Hook and Loop walking shoe is extremely comfortable and supportive. I like the hook and loop closure because I never have to stop walking in order to tie my shoes. Because I have problem feet, it is difficult for me to find a pair of shoes that is equally comfortable for both feet - these shoes are. Even when they are new, there is no breaking-in period needed. This is the third pair of these shoes I have owned, and I will, no doubt, order more in the future.

This is not my idea of a young stylish shoe; however, it does fit my daughter's 5.5 xw foot. She is a young lady and finding a fashionable shoe that fits her leaves little choice as most of the shoes that are available are really ugly black or white shoes that give the appearance of "corrective" shoes. I would love for shoe manufacturers to offer some attractive styles and colors for those sizes that fall outside of the usual size 6 to 11 medium widths. That being said, this shoe is well constructed with a padded ankle collar for additional comfort. How about adding some colored stitching to this plain all white shoe?

I bought this because of the many great reviews. Well, they're heavy and just feel stiff to me. I'm actually tired on my feet a lot more quicker wearing these than any other shoes I have. Being a poor nursing student, I have to stick with these until I save up for another pair.

I had the exact pair in black, so I know the fit. Perfect for my thin feet. I have read complaints that the straps are too short and the Velcro catches on the pants legs. Just put a piece of Velcro on the uncovered area. You can buy Velcro at WalMart or just about any grocery that has a notions dept. Love this shoe, and removable insole so you can add your own orthodontics. Runs true to size and width.

Purchased these for my mom for her birthday. She loves them! She says they are so light on her feet and with her bad hip it makes it easier for her to get around.

I normally wear a 5 1/2 to 6 size sneaker. So I was surprised to find this a bit tight over the top of my foot? Otherwise I liked the overall look and feel of the shoe

I really like the style because the hook and loop fastener makes it easier to adjust the degree of closure over the arch. This may need to be changed during the day.

I brought these for my aunt who never wore sneakers in her life. She loves them. They are comfortable and sturdy. I'm getting her another pair. By the way, she's 93 years old!

I'm 98 years old and they really do make my balance much better! The comments about that top closure strap being too short is very true but it doesn't matter to me that much and wouldn't be enough to prevent me from buying the shoes. They are wonderful shoes!

I've got hand and foot problems, so regular laces are both something difficult to tie and something that could cut off circulation if done poorly. I like Velcro for its practicality but prefer not to wear children's shoes or old lady shoes. These are perfect - they are solid black. Even the velcro itself is black. It's a bulky shoe, but it's wide width. They feel like angels singing on my feet. Very few people are ever going to stare at them long enough to notice they're velcro, not laced. Here's a peeve I've had before: The velcro attachment was not made wider even though the body of the shoe is wider. This is something you see in women's clothing too and it drives me nuts. I bought a large coat but the tie was the same length as on the small coat. When I tied the belt, it stuck out like a bowtie. The velcro is great on these shoes, I just need more of it. I can't fully line it up over the broken foot, which is taller than most feet. This isn't exclusively a New Balance problem. Overall, I love NB shoes.

I use them as a house shoe. They are easy on and off and quite comfortable when standing long times cooking in the kitchen.

Great shoes, with one small problem: the seam at the base of the straps is too tight. I have a very wide foot! But I think I can have it stretched out. Thus the four stars instead of five.

I wanted something with support that was easy to put on to go walking in. These fit the bill. Very comfy, love the Velcro straps. Go up a half size...I read the reviews and got an 8 instead of a 7 1/2 . They fit fine.

I purchased these for my mother in law who has painful bunions. I decided on the double E width and went with her usual size (8). She absolutely loves them and says she no longer feels pressure in the bunion area. She can actually walk around again so I highly recommend these shoes if you have a need for very wide sneakers.

I bought these for my Mother in law to wear in a Nursing home. They are great to put on and off because of the velcro straps. I always buy these. I love Zappos. I ordered on Sunday and they were here on Tuesday.

I am very disappointed with this shoe. I could not fasten the velcro strap properly across my foot. (And I can with other shoes, same size.) Straps kept popping open as I walked. Won't order New Balance again!

I have worn New Balance shoes from Zappos for many years and am always satisfied with my choice - hook and loop. I am 85 years old and do not like to tie my shoes which can become cumbersome. I take good care of my feet because they have to last me a life time. I have no aches or pains even though I broke my hip 5 years ago and had surgery. Lately I was experiencing back discomfort and my son suggested I needed new shoes. I ordered from Zappos and received them next day. After wearing for 1 day, I had no more back pain. Enough said.

My disabled sister likes another brand of hook and loop that was discontinued, so I was desperate to find her different shoes. The lg toe box is great. I knew she would say that the upper area was stiff so I wore the shoes a few days hoping for softening. I have orthotics because of plantar fasciitis and neuromas. The arch may be just fine to those with normal feet. She has not complained so life is good.
