I was unable to wear this shoe, even though I tried multiple widths. The seam on the inside of the shoe joining the tongue to the body of the shoe irritated the tops my feet in front of my toes. I had no trouble with buying water aerobic shoes with a similar seaming.

Bummed, love a white leather sneaker, comfortable except the toe box is slightly snug on my wider foot. Back they go

Very uncomfortable. Shoes had previously been worn and inside of left shoe was dirty.

I have been wearing NB style 577 for several years, it was a good, well made and supportive sneaker. In the past couple of years they have been getting progressively worst in quality, the fit, sadly, has also suffered, now to add insult to injury the sizing has also been compromised! The size 5.5 M I have always worn is too small and too narrow. Very disappointed with the quality, sizing, and fit. Too bad they have allowed this to happen..

As a person with small, wide feet ,New Balance has been my go-to brand for at least 20 years. It's about to lose me as a customer. Shoes are narrower and no longer fit. And they've discontinued my favorite style in extra wide.

I love NewBalance as they are the only shoes that usually give me a comfy fit. This shoe, however, is too tight in the heel. Probably not the shoe's fault, as I have wonky feet. Have to return these, since they are too painful to wear.

In the past I've worn a 9N in New Balance but decided to go with the 8.5N this time. The length and the width were fine, but the shoe rubs my ankle when I walk, so I'm sending it back. Plus, I know the shoes are supposed to be made of leather, but they look more like a plastic imitation of leather & have a plastic smell. Overall, I'm disappointed with this shoe. I was really excited to buy a narrow shoe made in the USA, but I wish it was made of USA leather as well!

This shoe is stiff and heavy with a massive stiff tongue that hurts the top of your ankle. The leather feels cheap. Toe box is roomy. The arch seems low enough to wear my orthotics in

Put shoes on and something is rubbing on the top part of instep and toe box not as roomy as NB style 0568. Also too heavy. These go back

Wrong size and no soft sole liner.

I'm a nurse; on my feet all day. I've been buying New Balance for over 8 years for work. I've always loved them. This pair that I'm wearing now are just not the same quality as New Balance has proved to be in the past. The rubber sole of the shoe is peeling away on both shoes! I've never had this happen EVER. I've only had these shoes 3-4 months. I only wear them at work. They have never even touched the ground outside the hospital.

I have a wide foot, narrow heel and very high arch and instep. These shows are better than most, but still pinch my toes and provide no arch support. I have to return them. I need shoes with a wide toe box.

Hate these clunky, uncomfortable shoes. Ended up giving them away, after avoiding them the entire Summer. Not enough cushioning for the front of your feet. They're hot and trap lots of moisture in there. Wide enough for my bunions, but uncomfortable in so many other respects (and ugly) that I couldn't bear to wear 'em.

I have bunions and these caused my feet to ache within a couple hours of wearing them. I didn't think they provided enough cushioning or support for the soles of my feet. They might be fine for someone without foot pains, or if you put different insoles in. I love New Balance shoes and I ended buying a pair that was a half size larger and wide width and they worked great.

I was disappointed with this sneaker. I've ordered this brand before and never had a problem with width. This 2E was much too wide. Since I wear an ankle brace on my right foot I need a wider width but I'm swimming in this one. Should have sent it back.

I am a size 5.5 and it's hard to find sneakers that fit. These fit fine in size, but the support is terrible. They are so built up on the outside edges that my feet slope inwards towards each other, instead of being level. I would not buy New Balance again if this is the way all their shoes are built. I feel like I'm walking on the outside edges of my feet. I had stopped buying Rykas because the last pair were so narrow in the toe, but I may have to go back to them and try again.

These shoes feel very cheaply made. They also have a strange long toe area. I am returning them.

May be the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have arthritis in my feet so the deep toe is great. However, I hate to say that these shoes squeak to the point of being embarrassing to wear! Thought I had found the perfect shoes!

I've been having trouble with my feet, so I was going for comfort instead of style when I ordered this shoe. It definitely looks a little orthopedic, and I didn't find them to be comfortable at all. I wear an 8.5. I ordered a 9 and that still felt short. I had them on for a minute and couldn't wait to take them off. They are going back!

I've been wearing New Balance for several years now, so I was confident this shoe would work for me. However, it just does not fit well. At first I thought I just needed to break it in, but the collar on the right shoe continues to rub and/or cause blisters, even after several weeks of wear. I've tried massaging the leather to soften the shoe but nothing helps. The tongue just comes up too far, resulting in painful pressure on the sides and front of my ankle. The left shoe fits the same way but for some reason doesn't cause the same problems. I can't see any defect in the shoe, so I can't send it back. But I can't wear it either, so come fall I'll start looking for a better-fitting pair of shoes.
