The toe bed was a little too narrow and the heel was a little too wide with a lot of slippage and movement. Goldilocks will keep on looking for the "just right" shoe.

Very uncomfortable in about every way. Not enough room in the toe box. So little cushion that the ball of my foot hurt. The padding on the ankle too thick so it would rub. Not wide enough, and I have a narrow foot. I just wore these in the house a few minutes and was relieved to take them off.

I have very wide feet and struggle to get shoes that fit. These run very narrow. I have returned them but have not gotten my money back yet and it's been two weeks.

I I wear the shoes shopping and to walk my dogs. I prefer shoes with laces but they were unavailable when I ordered the ones with the Velcro. The Velcro tends to collect lint and debris.

I bought New Balance on the recommendation of my podiatrist as a sneaker wide enough in the toe to prevent irritation of big toe.
The sneaker was fine except the tongue was so stiff it was causing an irritation where it hit my foot even after just walking around the house.

The tongue was way to short. It didn't even go to the end of the strings.

Shoes are nice, but are too heavy for me. They tire me out.

My wife ordered her regular size 10 W and the new model 577's were to small, had to go up a full size from a 10 to a 11 for length and also form a 1W(E) to a 2W(EE) and still a little tight in the width. They were good shoes but run smaller now in size and especially in width.

This shoe is deceiving. I thought it would have more cushion. It's a big shoe, especially when you're a size 11.

The shoe itself seemed to fit nicely but the top velcro strap was too short & could not connect with the other strap so I could not really tell how the shoe fit or how comfortable it is. I bought these with the help of a customer service person & he highly recommended it because I am diabetic. I ordered the same size as my other New Balance shoes so I can't say that the width was too small because my other 2 New Balance are both medium width. I'm very disappointed but based on this I do think it was a velcro issue & not a size issue.

I bought these new shoes, today walking on a bit of an incline, after a rain, I went down!! Extremely slippery on wet pavement! Be careful! Good thing this 61 year old body bounced!

There is not much worse where shoes are concerned when your shoes squeak. I walk around a quiet environment regularly and at first I thought the squeak would go away after I broke them in a little but after wearing them about 15 times it only gets worse. Too late to return. These shoes were not inexpensive. I wanted to buy another pair in white if I was satisfied with them but that is not an option now.

Desperate for something to replace a worn out pair of NB 845s that I've absolutely loved but are so old they no longer provide support and give me shin splints. These are not them. The leather of this shoe is stiff and the shoe feels clunky. The tongue seems overly long and because it too is stiff it is uncomfortable and pushes into where it hits the front/top of my ankle. Also, I wear no-show style ankle socks and each time I put the shoes on and walk around in them the right shoe works the sock down into the shoe and off of my heel after about 30 steps. Very Strange. Left shoe doesn't do that to the sock at all. These are going back.

OMG they stink!... This is the second pair I bought because I was sure the first pair got wet and that's what created the odor... Now I find out it's the glue that New Balance uses it smells like cat urine after about 2 weeks it's so bad I have to leave the shoes on the porch... the shoes fit great... But everyone can smell them as you walk by and they do smell like cat urine only stronger... unless they change the glue I'm not buying New Balance ever again as I see this is a problem with other styles

The straps have been shortened and aren't long enough to reach the closure side. I measures them against my present pair and they are not as long, so I can no longer wear these shoes.

I now have worn these for about one month. Always indoors. Initially I thought they were just fine. Now, I discovered the tongue is too high for comfort. I have bruises on my ankles where the tongue rubs my foot. I thought about cutting the tongue back, but decided to try turning the tongue backwards. Hopefully this will eliminate the discomfort. I would return these, but unfortunately, I have worn them for a month. I have a narrow heel and a high arch. I purchased a 9M. No, I would not buy this style again.

Is not as comfortable as other NB shoes. Especially the width and loop size do not fit well.

Sorry, I'm returning these shoes. New Balance has always fit my duck-shaped feet well, but these are too narrow in the toe box, despite rounded toes that look very orthopedic. I'll try a different style eventually; maybe the fit will be more like NB shoes from the past.

They're much smaller, squeak like crazy while walking and cheaply made. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement! I've been wearing New Balance sneakers for over 25 years and have seen and felt the steady decline in quality over the years. Shame on you for compromising your usual high quality sneakers!

Size seemed smaller and more narrow than the shoes I now have. And the shoe was hard on my foot.

But no more! I have rheumatoid arthritis and hard to fit feet. I have been buying New Balance size 8, 2E wide walking shoes for over a decade. But when I ordered a new pair, of size 8, 2E wide, they were, for the first time ever, too narrow. I then tried the 2E, size 8-1/2. These were too big, but still small in the toe box. I also went through the same experience with your 813 model. They do come in 4E width, so, after the first pair were didn't fit, I re-ordered them in a size 8, 4E. These were too wide in the heel but still tight in the toe box. I am so extremely disappointed. What did you do? I have owned at least a 1/2 dozen pair of these shoes. I am currently wearing size 8 2E New Balance shoes, so please do not tell me my feet have changed. But for some inextricable reason your shoes no longer fit. I hope you can fix this!
