My absolute favorite TEVA sandals are the TEVA Stratum 6430, which TEVA doesn't seem to make anymore. I bought the Hurricane XLT because the description and look of the sandal came closest to the Stratum. While the Hurricane XLT is a comfortable sandal, it doesn't match the comfort and support of the Stratum, particularly where arch support is concerned. Just wish the Stratum was still available!

not as good a fit as my previous pair. Straps are thicker and wider

Wanted to replace my well-loved Teva Tsunami's. The Hurricaine is much wider in the forefoot and I didn't like the appearance, so I returned them. Wish I could buy a pair of Tsumnami's just like my old ones.

Still not sure about the adjustable strap in the heel area...I liked the 1 velcro-strap in the ankle area. Haven't worn them enough to decide if I'll keep them or not

I have owned Tevas for over 10 years now. I usually buy them in surf jobs in California. I was happy to see that I could purchase them online now. I have several pairs that are 6½ but I trip all the time so I decided to get a size 6 from Zappos. The shoe is too small because and the strap that touches the front of the shoe is too far back and is scratchy, because I am so busy I have missed the 30 day return window. So I am just sort of stuck with an unused pair of Tevas. I love Tevas in general the shoe is very comfortable.

Was disappointed I couldn't order the XLT in a half size. So I've ended up that neither the 8 or 9 worked for me.

They aren't the best shoe if you do a lot of walking

I'm used to wearing my husband's leather Teva sandals which have a much more substantial footbed and straps. These new Teva's are much lighter, which is good, so I just wear them to work, not walking or gardening.

Teva Hurricane is one of the best sandal designs on the market. This particular pair happens to be defective. I have ordered another pair and have my fingers crossed. It took me several minutes to figure out why the left sandal hurt and the right one felt perfect. It turned out that the little strap lateral to the part of the plastic triangle where the straps merge near the little toe was significantly shorter on the left shoe than the right. That places the rigid plastic triangle on the movable part of the foot near the toe. Ouch! I measured and it should be 1.5 inches, like my old Tevas. The left sandal is less than an inch.

I am disappointed with the comfort of these sandals and have returned them. The strap material is harsh--so much so that it is certain to create blisters until such time that my body can form a callus in that location (where strap meets big toe area). The fit is strange. This is a shame, because I have worn this identical sandal for 20 years (it had more padding along the straps). I ultimately bought the multi-strapped version of the Teva sandal that does indeed have padding along the straps--and, in my opinion, even better arch support, plus half-size availability. For the record, I have bunions for a wider foot at the top, yet narrower heels.

I was trying to replace an old pair of Tevas and these new ones are not nearly as comfortable. Except for the heel, the new pair lacks cushioning on the straps where they are most likely to rub against the foot. I wore the sandals with socks on several hikes and they were okay. When the weather warmed up and I wore them without socks, they rubbed my skin raw--way too painful for extended wear without socks.

The soles of these shoes were difference from those I had previously. They were not comfortable for me so I returned them. I had problems with the last two pairs of Tevas - the leather part of the fastener broke on one and the rubber sole of another pair actually split in half. I have a hard time finding a retail outlet in my area that carries a variety of Tevas so I went to an ECCO store and brought a pair of ECCOs. They cost twice as much but I was able to try them before I bought them.

I love Teva sandals, but this pair never fit right. I adjusted the straps many times they were never comfortable like past Tevas I have had.

I've worn at least 5 styles of Teva and these hurt! They pinch my little toes so bad that I'm not sure I can wear them.

product inconsistency...I first ordered the 9 because its not offered in half sizes. It was too big way too long plus the adjustable straps were ridiculously long. I returned them. Then I ordered the 8. The length was fine but the adjustable straps were the total opposite and extremely short. I have a skinny foot so I was happy for the Velcro but the straps were so short and let so much velcro exposed it would snag every clothing article I owned. A person with a medium width foot would never be able to wear this shoe. It would expose half a strip of Velcro across the top of their foot.

When I saw them, I didn't recognize the construction as compared to my last pair. I put them on, and they just didn't feel as great as I had expected.

Instructions say to opt smaller for those with 1/2 sizes, but it's still a tad bit too large. Otherwise looks & feels good; color as shown.

I loved my Teva Hurricane's in Celtic Aqua.
I wore them frequently and covered a few miles in them each time I wore them. They were easy to adjust and comfortable to wear.
But, just outside of the 12 month warranty, the sole split in half across the toe arch when I was walking causing me to fall. Once I recovered from that indignity I was just so disappointed as I thought I'd found The Sandal!
I loved these sandals but they are not the cheapest and I expected them to be much more hardy. Given that I don't wear them during the winter we're talking about 9 months of wear tops before they disintegrated.
So I give them 10 for comfort and 2 for longevity.

I sized down as recommend, but they are on the short side. Teva should have these in half sizes.

It wasn't sized well compared to the other type of your sandals I've purchased, it was way too small for an 8 that I've always ordered before.

Not quality Teva! The ankle strap BARELY met to even stick with the Velcro. I have a regular width and regular ankle. Cute sandal, but very cheap and not quality like their other sandals.
