Very disappointed in these sandals. First Tevas I have had that felt like cheap shoes--make my feet sweat, noisy when walking from apparent stiffness, not that comfortable. My previous ones, I wore all day. These I wear to town and then take off, so uncomfortable. Probably will check on other brands. Also, I wear them everyday and it is hard to find basic colors--limited styles in tan/brown. Don't wear black. Don't wear bright patterns or colors.

The sole has separated on one of the shoes. This is the second pair this has happened to.

Unlike the older, similar model I currently wear, this one didn't have padding under the straps to keep the straps from chafing.

After 17 years I had to retire my old TEVAs. Oh I LOVED them! I rode 100's of miles in them, then this year the sole cracked on one. When I saw they brought back the original I was so happy and ordered the Hurricane XLT. XLT must stand for xtra large tread. I feel like I am wearing flippers. Hardly can fit foot into my bike cage, had to loosen it. The toe box on tread is just way too wide, I feel like I have a clown shoe on. A disappointment. :( it was a good run while it lasted.

I have an old pair of Tevas with unisex sizing M8 W9\10. I bought the W10. I have a narrow foot, and these were too wide.

I ordered these to replace a pair of Merrell walking sandals I've been wearing for years but finally wore out. It seemed like a good pair of sandals, they were lightweight and the footbed was comfortable. However, the reason I returned them is because of the strap placement. They didn't sit right at my ankle. Plus, the footbed was super wide, so it looked like I had big rocks strapped to the bottom of my foot. Overall, if you have a wider foot and the straps are comfortable for you, these work. They did not work for me. I may try another pair of Teva's that don't have the "universal" strap design.

I like sandals that protect the toes and are adjustable in the heel area and wide enough there that you don't feel the ribbon and ankle adjustable.

I miss my old Teva's! I think they were an older (original?) style of Hurricanes. These have a huge, round foot bed (largely because the straps don't start until 1/2" in from the edge, all the way around) that makes me feel like I'm walking on waffles. They are going back and now I have to hunt for a new style of hiking sandals. If it aint'broke, why fix it? Way to go, Teva!

This is not the old Hurricane which was sturdy for any kind of hiking/walking. My old Hurricane style had great arch support with great comfort lining on straps and provided me many miles and years of use in all types of terrain and city hiking with no pain, blisters, or chafing. The new hiking Teva is too bulky with a wide footbed and little arch support and does not work for narrow feet. I decided to keep the Hurricane as I can use them for casual wear, though I also have a Fi-Lite for casual wear, and really need a hiking sandal but I do not believe the Hurricane would be comfortable or safe for serious hiking. If Teva cannot fill this niche which they did dominate, then I hope someone else will. The old Teva Hurricane was perfect and I went through three pairs - why was it changed? The description even states that little has changed over the years but I disagree.

Bought these for shorter walks as an alternative to walking shoes/hikers. The ring caused blisters and the ball of my foot got a blister. I tried adjusting the strap numerous times. Can't understand how these got high reviews.

These were very comfortable when I wore them at home for several hours to try them out. However, the first time I wore them on the beach in Hawaii, the ankle strap took the skin clean off the inner side of my heels. So for the rest of the trip I wore band-aids and flip-flops.

The shoe has an odd shape that couldnot been seen from pictures shown. They are VERY wide across the ball of the foot. Not a teva I would buy again.

I am just about finished with Teva. Between the famous Teva stink and the amazing shrinking straps I have had it. I tried to order the replacements for my six year-old Hurricanes. I was a little meh about the remodled sole but whatever ordered a pair of 9 as my old ones were a little long and I had occasionally hung the extra toe on things. My old ones were a little disappointing because even when I had the straps on tight with bare feet, the design containing nylon part did not cover all the Velcro. There was ¾ of an inch or so of Velcro hook showing on the arch straps of both shoes. with socks it was worse and the toe strap had the same. The pair I just recieved was even worse. The toe straps did not even go half way across my bare feet. looking down you saw design to across the outside half of my feet and Velcro on the inside half - fully over two inches of the hooky part of the Velcro. The ankle and heel strap were the same way. If I try placing the strap even to a reasonable spacing of having ¾ of an inch of Velcro still showing, I can barely get my fingers in there, much less a foot. Teva needs to change this situation. It is much easier for a customer to cut or have a strap made shorter than to fix a too short strap. Make the straps long and instruct the customer to trim and singe the ends or have it done somewhere. What a waste of time for me and Zappos' wonderful customer service. This complaint is strictly about Teva, not Zappos. They have gone way out of their way to (successfully) retain me as a customer. C'mon Teva, you make a good sturdy product, stop cutting corners in such a petty way!

Produced stinky feet and sandles, even after only the first day of wearing. These are the new anti-bactrial added variety. I have not had a problem like this with very my old leather sandles by Teva.

Not as comfy as Tevas of the past. I usually wear 8 1/2, and went with a 9 since they were only whole sizes. Not sure if that's the reason, but the straps seem too far back on my foot. The straps rub into my foot- not like older styles I could wear forever. Disappointing!

I'm hoping they will 'break-in' soon. The ankle strap is the only uncomfortable thing about them. No matter what I do to adjust them, it seems the strap rubs along the top part of my foot. I think it is the edge of the Velcro material that is the problem. Other wise they are all I expected.

I wanted a good hiking sandal that I could use for rocky hiking and going along stream beds. These sandal are good for neither of these activities. When they get wet the sole is slipper; also the front of my foot can slide right out the front of the sandal when I go down an incline. I have tried tightening the straps, but this doesn't really help. These sandals will be best for some who wants to walk around town in something more substantial than flip-flops.

I returned the shoes. They seemed very low end and poorly made compared to my Chacos. The footbed was incredibly cushy though and I was trying to exchange them for the Terra Fi but I guess they were out of stock. Hassle free return anyway...

I have plantar fascitis. My first two pairs of Tevas were very comfy and gave me great support, my last two pairs have been very disappointing, I'm going on vacation next week and am a little afraid to wear them for any length of time. I'm not very pleased with them.

I've had Teva's that I absolutely loved...but the Hurricane XLT was so uncomfortable, I had to return them. They saved WAY TOO much money on these and made them with insufficient padding. There is no need for this given their cost. Very disappointed.
