Love this boot. I have size 11 feet and they fit perfectly. There is definitely space at the end, which made me a little unsure to start with, but then my husband said how small they made my feet look! Comfortable, super stylish and look like they will last forever. Worth the extra bucks for a wardrobe classic.

I got the boots in butter. They're my first pair of Frye boots, but I ogle Frye boots constantly. I love my boots! They make my feet look longer than I'm used to, but overall they're super cute and make me feel cute and stylish.

I love these boots. They were soft and pretty right out of the box. I bought them as a more work-friendly boot in the style of my beloved (and now departed) Doc Martens from the 90s. The turned up toe takes some getting used to, but after a couple days of wearing them I like the vintage look. They look nice with tights and a short dress or sensible work-friendly dress pants and a simple top. Moreover, these things are comfortable. I bought my normal size, and it fits my foot great. I like the extra room in the toes. My toenails tend to get ingrown, and these stay well away! I would only size down if your feet are narrow.

I get compliments every time I wear these. They are very substantial and rich looking so people notice them. Amazingly they are instantly comfortable even with the hefty boot leather. These will last years and just get better with time. They are a true classic; I always look forward to wearing them!

I love these so much! They are so cute and they look great with skirts, and jeans. They run a little big, so I took half a size smaller and they fit perfectly! The leather is also much softer and more supple than my other Fryes so the break in period was basically non existent. The only downside was the sole was a little slippery at first, but with just a little wear it was unnoticeable.

Beautiful and soft...unfortunately just a tad too narrow for me. Fits exact shoe size and is comfortable. I have a high instep and laces had to be very open and toe bone hit right where the instep meets the toe. Too bad for me!

Love these shoes. So cute and very comfortable. I live in NYC, and walk around the entire city in these with no problem.

I'm in love with this shoe! Unlike most Frye shoes and boots, which are very stiff, this feels like butter the minute that you put it on - even without socks! I also have 3 pairs of the Carson lace up shoes and absolutely love the fit, look and rich appearance of these shoes. I got the color "Butter", which is so soft and pretty, you could wear it with a skirt or shorts and it would look feminine, yet edgy. The shoe looks a little long, but it fits true to size. I love Zappos - please get more colors in stock in Frye Carson boots! (Size 9, please.)

Wow! I waited almost too long to get these, but did get the last pair in my size. I have narrow feet so the fit was wonderful. These really remind me of the old beatle boots from the late sixties. Very nice old school look, very nice leather and quality.

I just got these boots, but haven't worn them outside yet. They are gorgeous! I agree with the other reviewers in that they seem a bit long, but I ordered my normal size 8 1/2. I'd be interested in seeing what the 8 feels like, but so far from trying them on, I think the 8 1/2 will be fine. They feel snug (in a good way) every where else, and they don't slip in the heel. They seem really comfy! There is a very nice padded foot bed, and with the extra room at the toe box, I can see walking around in these all day. (time will tell) They seem very well made, and even the leather smells great! I think they'll go with skinnies, boot cut cords, and even skirts. They're pricey, but for a versatile and comfortable shoe, why not?

Beautiful! I was smitten with this boot from the first time I laid eyes on it, but I've never found a pair of Fryes that fit me just right. These lace-ups were good from the get-go and are just perfect for my narrow foot. Though the arch support could be better, the sturdy construction and thick sole make this a comfortable walking shoe.

The toe seems long, it's true, but very reminiscent of vintage (ca. 1900) styles. I generally wear an 11 in Fryes with an insole, but wore these with cotton tights. The length seemed fine over a day of wearing - not too long, as I had feared. The laces hold the foot securely, and adjust for sock weight. I have a sensation that the arch of the right boot is in a slightly different place than that of the left, but that may be a false impression. I found these comfortable for a day at work that included some walking; Frye shoes generally break in pretty easily for me. I like the vintage look, and while the leather isn't work-boot heavy, the soles feel durable yet office-appropriate.

These are adorable in person. I think they run a little large, so order 1/2 size down. They were very snug across the top of my foot, but not in length - it is likely they would stretch over time.

Elegant boot that can easily be dressed up or down. No ugly, unnecessary design details (except the Frye logo embossed on side of heel, meh). Overall, a straightforward, good-looking lace-up boot. Been looking forever! I also own the Carson oxfords in brown. I love the shape of the Carson line and it fits my foot (which is on the narrow side) really well. The slight heel makes them more comfortable somehow. Great for the city!

This bootie is pure comfort right off the bat. They required no breaking in whatsoever and I walked at least three miles the first time I wore them. I had to order a full size down from my normal size 8. I got these in size 7 and there's still wiggle room for my toes. The footbed is padded and the leather is sturdy. I give this boot 2 thumbs up!

This is a nice boot and really comfortable. The only thing I didn't like about it is the sole -- it's slick and doesn't have any grip. It runs narrow and since I have a narrow foot, it fit perfectly.

These were cute, and comfortable (in the few minutes that I wore them in the house) but the reviewer who wrote about the "bulbous toe" is correct. The toe of these boots makes them fit about 1/2 size too long, and makes your feet look larger than they are. Unfortunately I would need a 10 1/2, which they don't make, so these are going back.

While I like the style of thie boot, sadly it did not like my foot. It felt too tight across the top of my foot, which may have been due to high arches. Also, it hurt the back of my ankle where the achilles tendon is, had to return.

Cute enough, however, could feel hard ridge where heel attached to shoe while standing in them. Felt like standing on a fence post. Leather not as supple as other Frye products. Returned these in exchange for other style Frye which I am extremely happy with.

Great style, good price and good quality. I purchased a pair in black and brown, and will keep black pair to replace an old pair of Doc Martens (good during the '90s but way too clunky and no longer age appropriate). These looks great with leggings, tights, jeans and a pair of socks and short skirt. The bulbous Carson toe provides a lot of room, so recommend a half size smaller.

I am a Frye addict. It started with the Melissa Lace up and most recently, this Carson Lace Up. In between has become a blur of Carson oxfords, Phillip harness, Carson ballet flats...Someone stop me, please. Truthfully, if someone builds a better leather shoe/boot, I'll try it. Freebird? Vintage Shoe Company? Tried them. I always return to Frye. That said, this boot doesn't disappoint. The smell of the leather is ridiculous. If I could walk around with a shoe hanging around my neck so I could smell them all day, I would. I wear a solid size 9 shoe in "the real world". In Fryes, however, I almost always wear 8.5 I ordered these in 8.5 and I am happy with the fit. I agree that they are a bit narrow but I have a slightly narrow foot so there you go. I wear them with rolled up boyfriend jeans or leggings. I plan to wear them with long dresses (Free People), too. Definitely an all season boot.

I'd been eyeing these boots for a while, and one weekend I just took the plunge, and I am incredibly happy that I did! I had been looking for boots that I could wear with my work clothes as well as my casual wear, and I wanted shoes that I could use to walk comfortably around San Francisco, and these fit the bill. They go well with my outfits and have gotten me many compliments, everyone wants to know where I got them. Definitely the most expensive shoes I have purchased for myself, but totally worth it. I even wore them in the weeks after I badly sprained my ankle. They probably the support I needed while I was limping around. 5 stars.
