This is my third pair of these. I wear them exclusively in the house as a kind of slipper, which they are in a sense: they slip on and off quite easily. But they stay on well, despite not having much of a heel. They are lightweight, breathable, supportive, and durable. Both of the last two times I've purchased them, they were a half size too large. If you wear a thick sock and/or don't mind them flopping a bit, then go ahead and get them true to your actual size. I'm very picky about footwear, so the fact that I bought these more than once tells you something about the fit, comfort, and quality.

These shoes are comfortable and so easy to wear as you can just slip them on. Good arch support too. Dressy to wear out to dinner. I wear these in Florida every day and have bought several.

Favorite shoes for my man

I've worn out about half a dozen pairs of these over the years--wear them frequently in the Summer for a couple of years, then transition them to house slippers. Easy, comfortable.

Overall, a great fit. A little large and I had to re-order one size down. Very comfortable.

Not sure of my exact size, I ordered what I thought would be correct. They felt a little loose so I ordered a 1/2 size down. After comparing the fit, I returned one pair. The Merrell Encore Bypass shoe is excellent, very comfortable, and provides good support for my neuropathic feet. The entire process was convenient and efficient. I am happily impressed with Zappo's customer relations culture which sets a high standard for other companies to follow.

I have enjoyed a half dozen of these shoes over the years. Extraordinarily comfortable, and especially wonderful at airports when you need to remove shoes. I only wish there were slightly more attractive versions — a little nicer than mesh, but not as hot on the feet as leather.

I bought these shoes for my dad who is in his 80s and just had a hip operation. He needed something that could just slip on that was comfortable and non-skid. I have worn Merrill sandals for years and know that the quality and wear with this brand is exceptional. We ordered a 10 1/2 and it arrived the next day when he returned home. My dad was very pleased with the ease that he could put them on without bending. The fit, color and style were perfect for him! He lives in Florida so I expect he will wear them year round.

Outstanding shoe. This is the third pair I have ordered over the years. I have a bone spur on the back of my left heel and the open back on this shoe doesn't rub on the spur. I love this shoe!!!

My husband has two pair, one pair in Iowa, one in our vacation home. He loves them! They are very comfortable and durable.

I've had several pairs of these in the past and I love them. They have changed the design a little over the years, but they still have failed to add a little more of a heel cup. I wish they would because the feel like they will slide off your foot sometimes, especially once a pair become 'well loved'. Overall a great shoe for spring through fall in Ohio if you like a cool, ventilated shoe. I work form home and these are great because we have a 'no shoe' policy in the house, so easy to take on and off. I'm back and forth from the house to my workshop every day. I'm usually a 14, these felt like a 14-1/2 and because they have no back to them, well nothing to grab your heel anyway, the were loose right out of the box and felt like they would slip right off my foot. I'm trying. a 13 and see what happens. I love these in the summer especially, so I'll settle on a size and deal with them being too tight or too loose.

Great shoe -- light weight and super comfy! I've purchased several styles of Merrell shoes, boots -- and am always pleased with the result.

too big size wise,, were a true 7.5 but this was at least 1/2 size too large

This shoe is light, comfortable, and a perfect slip on. Some of the reviews denoted that one needed to order a size larger; however, I ordered my regular size, and they fit perfectly. I will look for Merrell slip ons in the future. Great shoe!

I do not find these shoes visually appealing at all. But they are extremely comfortable. Especially for those who have foot issues. I highly recommend.

I really like them for just casually walking and going shopping. They are a relaxed fit and feel great. I will Buy again.

I ordered these for my husband in two sizes ~ one his regular size 9.5 and a size 10 because one reviewer indicated the shoe runs short. They arrived today and his regular size 9.5 fits perfectly and he is extremely happy with them! He has another similar pair of Merrell clogs that he has worn for years and they are about ready to be retired. These are EXACTLY what he was looking for and thank you, Zappos, for such wonderful customer service!

I purchased these for my husband who was looking for something light weight and breathable to wear when walking the dog on warm, rainy Spring days or when the cold winter weather makes flipflops a no go. He is very happy with these, though the mesh top isn't all that breathable. They were comfortable right out of the box; felt true to length, but a little narrow which was good for him (he wears a 15N, but the 15M works)

Pair #3 for me, that's how much I love these shoes. I buy a pair, use them in the house only. When they are well worn, I transfer them, use them for outdoors only, buy another pair, and use them for in-house only. That way, I always have these incredibly comfortable shoes for walking around town, but I also have a nice clean pair for walking around the house. One warning, at least for me, they tend to slip off my feet while driving, causing a hazard if they should slip under the gas or brake pedal. So I slip them off and drive barefooted.

I love these shoes. They are so so comfortable. I wear them very little only when I need to get the mail or go outside for something small. They are a little expensive, but I love them, they are worth it and I would buy them again

My husband is an ER doc with long hours on his feet and the need to jump back into his shoes quickly if resting. He loves these shoes. Highly recommended

Bought these for my hubby because an old pair wore out. He has narrow feet so they are a little wide for him, but he put insoles in them and they fit good now. Great shoes to kick around in!
