I bought this mat after all the great riviews I saw online, however It never even made it to the studio because of how slippery it is, I tried the salt rub and there was still absolutely no grip. I could not get a grip on regular temperature room, let alone practice hot yoga at the studio. I unfortunately returned it. Extremely disappointed.

I tried couple times to leave salts on the mat, waited 24 hours every time. It's still very slippery! I don't think it is an option to return after I applied the salt. The other welcome mat I bought was slippery too. Frustrating!

When I was getting into yoga I was running around with the standard 6 month toss away mats, but once I started getting serious I wanted to get something that would last. So I did some research and saw this mat comes highly recommended.I have to say I think those people were paid to give that type of review. I will say first the only positives I have to say at all are that the mat is comfortable for it's thickness and I appreciate the length option. That is all I can say positive about this product. This has to be by far the slipperiest mat I have ever used. I kept hearing it would get better and do this or do that to increase the traction, but nope. Even as a yoga instructor teaching multiple classes a day this thing never broke in. I finally broke down and bought a yoga towel to be able to use it and not worry about slipping and breaking my neck. I never expected something from a company so well respected in the community to perform so poorly. I think Manduka needs to go back to the drawing board with this one and make a lot of improvements. It's so bad I have talked all my studios out of selling them and I steer all my students asking for recommendations away from them.

I was shopping around, trying to find a good mat that won't make my hand slip when I sweat. Unfortunately, this is an over expensive mat that does not do the trick. I barely sweat, yet my downward dog is very hard to maintain on this mat. Also, for the price you pay, the mat is very, very narrow compared to the average width. I have tried the salt scrub 3 times without improvement. The only thing that I got was a mess on my floor, full of sea salt. For the money we are paying for these products, I definitely do not expect to have to rub sea salt multiple times and make a mess on my kitchen floor. I recently purchase the towel which is crazy expensive as well. Will probably buy a reasonably priced mat and keep the expensive towel. How this company stays in business is a question mark for me.

I received my mat few weeks ago and unfortunately it is very slippery and therefore not convenient at all during my yoga class. I threw salt as advised and left it for 24 hours and still it is very slippery. Please advise what should i do as this is such an unpleasant situation

This mat sadly has a strong, chemically smell out of the package and for days afterwards. Silly me, I thought this company only sold natural products. I also find it slippery, which rather lessens its use value.

I bought the Manduka PROlite because I have been practicing with Manduka mats in my yoga studio for years. I understand that mats have a break in period (I did the salt thing), but when I brought it to my yoga class the first day I almost fell because of how slippery the mat was. I am not a heavy sweater and the mat couldn't hold my feet or hands for more than 2 seconds. Not pleasant, I am unsure if I will use it again since I found my practice very uncomfortable.

I have been trying to use this mat for about a month and I'm almost ready to throw it in the trash. I have tried breaking it in with salt, letting it sit in the sun, and attempting to use it. It is incredibly hard to hold any pose on it when dry, and near impossible with any amount of moisture. My workout room was humid one day and I actually slipped on the mat when I walked in the room! So bummed!!

Really bummed about this mat. Very slick once I begin to sweat. I purchased a Manduka towel to try to make the problem better, but the towel is also slick. Disappointed with the mat and would not recommend.

I bought this because I wanted longevity. I sweat at yoga, and this thing absorbs NO water. Why
