I'm a bit frustrated because despite letting sea salt sit on my mat for 24 hours, it is soooo slippery! Even with my Manduka towel, I'm sliding all over the place during heated yoga. I hope it gets worn in soon because practice has been a struggle with trying to manage holding a pose whilst not sliding.

I bought this a little over a month ago. I have take it to hot yoga about 5 times now. It is slippery every time I use it. I bought this because reviews said even when wet it does not slip. I have found this to be untrue. I'm very disappointed.

I have used my manduca mat three times. The first time I didn't do the salt thing recommended to break the mat and make it so that you don't slide. So I kept sliding and unable to do my yoga poses. I salted my mat after the first time and left the salt for a couple nights and still I kept sliding. One of the reasons I bough the mat was because of the good reviews. But I honestly don't recommend it for the price.

After reading numerous reviews and doing some research I decided to invest in the Manduka PROlite mat. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with my purchase. I bought this mat for use in sweaty vinyasa classes because numerous reviews and the description said it was a non-slip mat that would work well under these conditions. I even filled out the Manduka mat survey and they suggested this mat to me. The mat itself is well-made and the thickness is comfortable, but after using this is one class and my hands sliding around I know I cannot use this mat without a towel or use it just for yin or stretching. If you sweat, I suggest looking elsewhere.

This is not a standard-sized mat. I liked the quality - very well made, but it's 3 inches too narrow

I've been doing yoga for 7 years and had been extremely happy with my current mat but found that because I take 3-4 classes a week, I had to replace it about every 8 months or so because it just did not hold up, even tho it was a name brand. I saw that Manduka has a lifetime guarantee, so thought I would try one. I was REALLY hoping it would be as good as my other one right out of the box, but no way. My hands slide terribly in downdog. I tried the salt suggestion, but didn't work at all. I will keep using it for a little while to see if it gets better, but I kind of see myself going back to my old one. It is very disappointing! And I prefer my mat to be a little longer than 71" which Manduka only offers 71" or 79".

This mat is too slippery for me. Unfortunaly I only used it a few times and ended up buying another mat (different brand).

I have been practicing yoga for 3 years on a regular basis. I bought this mat 4 months ago and I still slip in class. I have tried using sea salt, rubbing it in after 24 hours and have put it out in the sun.

I really want to like this mat, but it's not the right one for me. I had a great Jade yoga mat that I left behind after a class that I never got back. I thought the Manduka would be a good replacement but it is the most SLICK mat I've ever used and it's made my practice take several steps back. I didn't have this problem with my Jade or any of the cheaper mats I picked up over the years so I wouldn't have thought it would be an issue. I'm bummed to have wasted my money since I won't be able to use it anymore, even with a towel.

Unfortunately this is the first upscale yoga mat I have ever purchased and it is worthless. It is the most slippery mat I have ever practiced on. The cheaper mats $8-$15 are better than this thing. I am returning it today. I expected so much more, what a disappointment. Don't waste your money.

I used the mat twice now after doing the sea salt treatment and it's so very slippery I hate it. Not sure what else I could be doing to start enjoying it like everyone else

I am not sure whether my mat is defective but it stretches ! In downward dog my hands go forward with the mat around 5 cm!
Moreover it started to peel/tear on the bottom side. I wrote to manduka being sure that lifetime guarantee exists. Unfortunately they don't see a problem.

This mat was a gift because the two I own have served me for years of yoga in hot rooms, on rooftops, and in parks.

I have prepped this mat with sea salt and it's still very slippery compared to my Lulu mat. I wanted to branch out from lulu but this mat does not work well for hot yoga. I have used it for daily practice thinking I would be able to break it in, however it it has not helped at all. I can't practice at ease when all I am worried about is trying not to slip. Not impressed with manduka's mats at all.

Hi, i bought this mat specifically because I wanted a stickier mat, and the Manduka mats at my studio are really nice. It must be this kind in particular, because I'm sliding all over the place, and have already reverted to using my old mat which this was intended to replace.

I bought this mat about three weeks ago. I was so excited when I opened it because it is so beautiful. O followed the directions and salted the mat in anticipation of using it! It was very slippery and I used it to teach at a non-heated gym. I took it the following evening to a heated class for my own practice and it was even worse! I am advancing my practice a d O was unable to do any of the things I have been working on. I gave it two more tries with no improvement. I am so very disappointed. I am not willing to spend more money on a yoga towel when I already spend good money for a mat. I think it defeats the purpose of investing in a good mat. I will be returning it.

I bought a mat back in August 2018 and it is still slippery after the slightest amount of sweat, even after several salt scrubs. It is fine for general exercise such as laying down on it for sit-ups, but it does not hold up for even your first down dog. My order also came with the eQua hand towel, which helps with sliding when placed on top of the mat.

I bought this a little less than a month ago and unfortunately had to return it. It was so slippery I kept having to focus on trying not to fall during class (I fell anyway). It also started peeling already! I'm very disappointed, I love the color and love the cushion but I can't overlook the other two very important factors. I did receive a free eQua hand towel which I also had to return but I think I'm going to buy because that, I like.
