Light, robust and seemingly durable, all in all a quality product. But a lot more slippery than my old mat, I've fallen on my face twice already, which never used to happen.

I bought this yoga mat on November 2017 in order to have an enjoyable (less slippery) yoga session. In the recommended guidelines before use, the rinse with salt for 24 hours wasn't approved to be effective. I used table salt which was affordable for the demanded quantity, but after the remove of the salt according to guidelines my new yoga mat become even more slippery. Maybe this preparation process needs a high quality salt. If my hypothesis is valid, a relevant reference in the guidelines would be good. The PROlite yoga mat is promoted as suitable for those who are sweating a lot, but the salt process gave opposite results.

I bought it some weeks ago and unfortunately it is not as non-slippery as I expected it to be. :(

I'm very disappointed with this mat. I want to like it so badly that I keep on using it hoping that it eventually will "break in". However, it is just too slippery. I can't practice with it. It's impossible...

It is great and really supportive but I can't really use it as much cause it is super slippery. I have never had such an issue with a mat before even with the really cheap ones. I tried the salt rub and use it daily with a towel on top to wear it off. Seems to be getting better gradually but why would I buy a mat that I cant do a downward facing dog on ?

Color of the mat is exactly how in the picture. Anyhow, i'm not very satisfied with the mat because its heavier than I thought. I was thinking to travel with it, but probably have to do some other plan. Its gonna be heavy to carry in a backpack. Also mat gets very slippery while I practise. My feets are sliding all the time, which my previous mat didn't do. I have to correct my pose several times because my feets are sliding. I feel uncomfortable to do some asanas, because my feets are sliding. I have to use a towel or cover on top of mat. I practise asthanga yoga.

I love the size and weight, but even after salting the mat is too slippery.

I love the color and cushion of the mat. However, I do wish I had known about all of the work the salt scrubs would be. It's a very slippery mat and I did not have the "sweaty hand" issue with the other mats I've used. So scrubbing and baking my mat and scrubbing it some more based on what I've read others have done is what I'm doing. Ugh. It's a lot of work to be able to "wear in" the mat for use and give a whole new meaning to downward dog.

I bought this and the purple color is a slightly bland compared to the photo on your website, I think you guys should retake your photos and focus on color matching. I'm ordering the Pro mat in black magic. I saw it in a shop, and it also doesn't match its photo on your website, which looks magenta on the website, and a beautiful rich purple in person. Please fix that! Other than that, it's a great mat, I do love Manduka products!

Unfortunately this product did not meet my expectations. I have been using a Gaiam for years, but was told by the instructor the Manduka was a better choice. I have been unable to resolve slipping issues on it in spite of following the "break in" process. I do like the heavier density which provides better cushioning.

I think I like the mat and maybe I just need to wear it in a bit (I've only used it about 7 times, as I just recently purchased it), but in downward dog, my hands won't stay put on it. It's slippery

I bought this Yoga mat to get a lighter one than the Manduka I already have. But after having checked the weight it's not 1.8kg but 2 kg. Finally the one I've just ordered is the same weight as my previous one. My old one was not a prolite, but finally it's the same Yoga mat. Totally disappointed even if it's a good product, this product doesn't correspond to my needs. Manduka should write the precise informations.

I bought this a few months ago and love it and the thickness, however I slip all over the place- like the mat has a coating on it. I have read online and gotten advice to scrub the mat with coarse salt and leave it in the sun, so I'm planning on trying that when I have time.

I followed the instructions and did the salt twice. I've used it at least 10 times now. I even used a gentle brush to rub the salt in to try to help it get it get tacky. It's better but I'm still slipping and it's disrupting my practice. Contemplating getting a different brand mat.

Disappointed with mat because of how slippery it is. I attend hot yoga seven days a week and this mat it not what I expected at all. It is as if Im on an ice rink and dangerous.

I want to like this mat but I slip way too much while doing yoga (90 degrees) in the studio. The quality and everything else is great, but I had to buy a towel mat for on top. It definitely helps, but dies defite the purpose of a good mat.

Bought this about 5 months ago and was hoping it would break in and it hasn't. You have to use a towel on this which is not the point when buying a hot yoga mat. I really wanted to like it but would never buy again as you need to also buy a $65+ towel.

I love the way it looks, but I use it for hot yoga, and I am so surprised but even after usage about 20 times it is way too slippery when it gets wet from sweat.
