soft, light, and comfortable fit with rugged disposition, quality features, and protective style. cuff is comfy, laces pull tight, bottoms have good traction. a lil slippery on smooth wet surfaces, but helped me thru the wicked northeast snow storms. light enough, I'm considering wearing year round for rain storms.

Love. These. Boots. Found Ahnu on Zappos search and so glad I did. I needed something for an 8+ hour day of walking that is waterproof and multi-seasonal. These fit the bill! They are very light and they look great. My flat feet are happy.

These boots have gotten me to hike further that I ever thought I would. I have been using them for 1.5 years now and just ordered a backup pair so that I can continue to enjoy hiking comfortably. I love the light weight, the fact that they fit my wide feet and that they are waterproof. I followed others' recommendations and ordered a half size up (I am usually a 9) and that was perfect.

I bought these boots for when I walk my dog in the winter. They have performed perfectly. The fit is great and they look very nice (my feet look small and cute!) They keep my feet warm while walking on snow and ice and provide great support, especially for my ankles. I only wish they had a little more arch support, but they aren't really meant for running in either!

Love these boots! I bought them for a "forced march into the jungle" and I could not have been more pleased. I took the advice of many other reviewers and wore them everywhere for the two weeks preceding the Big Hike but I could have taken them out of the box the day of and still been completely comfortable. They are lightweight but durable and maybe most importantly there are no seams or bits inside to rub or press or otherwise cause discomfort. Ordered up a half size as also recommended by many hikers and while the smaller size fit, the larger size was perfect and allowed for a heavier sock. Five stars.

Love these hiking boots. Spent a year in Colorado hiking and lots of walking. I had two back surgeries so I need very comfortable shoes. I am ordering a 2nd pair!

The Ahnu boot is great for outdoors. It's my first of this type and I am really enjoying it. Was in water and feet stayed completely dry. I first ordered too small and had to get a half size bigger to accommodate socks. I have a very high arch and it's hard to find good support, but this shoe has it. I'll be looking for a second pair in brown. I'm pretty sure these are going to last a very long time.

I really love the way these boots fit. I am a size 9 - 9 1/2 and the 9 1/2 fit well. No blisters, no wet feet and great comfort. I even use them with my snow shoes.

It's hard to find a woman's boot in my size but Ahnu nails it. Love these boots! I probably get over 300 miles in these lovelies.They only last one season on the sierra granite though, could use a better sole system.

These boots are fabulous. I have tried several other brands of hiking boots but did not like the way any of them fit. These are so comfortable. I took them out of the box and went on a short four mile hike in the snow. My feet did not get cold yet were not hot either. I even ran the last mile in them without any problem or discomfort. They do not look like guy's boots which is nice too. I love these.

These boots are lightweight with no break in period required. I've "tested" them in a few mud puddles and they are water resistant. They should do well in the rain. I added a thin insert for additional arch support.

These boots are great! No break-in time, completely waterproof in snow. I have never ordered this brand before and fully intend to again.

Great boots! I got a 1/2 size larger, which seems to be the way with boots and sneakers anyway. Comfortable and they look really great! Very happy with their performance. Never heard of Ahnu before, but I am very glad that they are out there. I tried many other name brands and they just didn't make the cut.

Very comfortable! I have worn LL Bean and Sorels in the past and these are better than both of those. Love the color also. I am wearing these for winter hikes and snowshoeing and am more than satisfied. I didn't even have to break them in.

I worked in these boots for a year+ every day and love them. They are supportive, comfortable and had zero break in time. Love!

These are great boots! I feel like I am wearing these everyday during winter. They are really comfortable, I found them true to size. They are great in winter weather!

These boots are amazingly comfortable. Wore them hiking without breaking in and they were great. Love the look as well. I did get a half size bigger which was the right call.

I bought these to go snow-shoeing. Ended up not going but kept these because they are FANTASTIC and FABULOUS. Truly one of the most comfortable and light boot/shoes I've ever worn. They're awesome and I highly recommend them. I work on my feet part of the day and these are supportive enough that my feet do not hurt.

Boot was exactly as described. I wear a 9 street shoe. For my Ahnu's, I needed a 9.5. I already own their low cut women's hiking shoe. I used my Ahnu's on my month's trip to Australia and New Zealand. I decided to order these high cut, for my Patagonia and Cape Horn trip. They are great.I had tried Merrell's and 3 other name brands.I found the Ahnu's to be the best fit for my "average" feet.

These boots are great. I read lots of reviews and they are true to other reviewers' comments. They have been comfortable since day one, they are warm and waterproof. I had a hard time retiring my old favorite, falling apart boots, but now I do not even miss them. I am a size 8½-9 and got the 9 based on other reviewers which was the right call.

These have been the most comfortable boots ever. I have worn them on all weekend camp/hike trips, on snowy days, in the heat of summer, to walk the dogs or go to the grocery store. At first the color was a little uncomfortable for me (I go for black) but I found them fun and purple goes with everything. Now years later I recently cleaned and waterproofed them and they are going strong.

I've been very pleased with a pair of Ahnu sandals I purchased last year & equally pleased with these boots. I didn't get a chance to break them in before hiking through the woods on a snowy winter day & a long walk the next day on 4 miles of ice. They are very comfortable, completely waterproof & the tread kept me from falling on the ice (a little grace helped too). I'm not a big sock person so the pair I had on were not heavy, just average. I think a heavier pair of socks would have made the boots too snug. I bought the size I usually wear & that was perfect. Aside from function, these boots look good...either under jeans or jeans tucked inside. I can definitely recommend these boots.

I don't believe I've ever owned boots this comfortable before. They are warm, waterproof and make my feet happy (and that is saying a lot!). Comfortable right out of the box. True to size, supportive and cute...what else is there to say?

Great shoe! I am flat footed and the orthotics inserts prescribed by my podiatrist fit right in. I walked in NYC for 10 hrs a day with no pain. I ordered one full size bigger for comfort. I could not find a comfortable boot for the snow or cold weather. These were perfect! The lining is in a beautiful mint green leather.
