These boots are really great! They are cute and light. Perfect for snowshoeing. My only comment is that I have wide feet and they are a little tight on one foot.

Warm, comfortable right out of the box with great arch support, waterproof, and they don't bother my achilles (like a lot of "high top" styles have).

I just purchased my second pair of the Ahnu Montara Boot. This time in brown. They are used for many hikes and much dog walking on the city streets of Chicago. I made this purchase after trying countless others that did not meet the comfort or quality of the Ahnu Montara. They're good for all weather, but especially winter. They are warm, waterproof and walkable. And Zappos is amazing.

These provide great support, comfortable, and true to size. These are as cute as hiking boots can be. There are no cute hiking boots on the market.

Bought these for EMS work boot for snow and ice. Other shoes and boots also have vibram soles, but these have so much more in comfort, fit, durability, ease of movement. I like them so much, they are not only my EMS boots, but my go-to boots for winter hiking, walking and knock around. They even look good with leggings and skinny jeans.

Ok, ok, like many people have said, I saw all of the 5-star reviews and was a little weirded out. I found these boots, the only pair of the brand in the store, in my size, on a clearance rack at a local outdoor store. I'd never heard of the brand so I came to Zappos to read about them. I have weak ankles, intermittent plantar fasciitis in both feet, and I'm getting back into hiking after a decade away. Plus, I live in Oregon where it's wet! I have worn these a few times now. They required zero breaking in, they're as light as sneakers, truly, truly waterproof, and I even forgot to put my PF inserts in them, but had enough support! The laces are in D-rings instead of from grommeted holes, which makes for super easy adjustment, and the hooks at the ankle are awesome for ankle support. I have wide feet and had zero problem, but I wear thin socks. I probably couldn't get away with thicker hiking socks until they've had time to stretch a bit, but I don't really need thick socks here anyway. I love these boots. I will buy a second pair to keep on hand in case they discontinue them. Believe the hype, these are my favorite boots I've ever owned.

First I want to give Zappos credit for getting these to me super fast! Just in time for our mid Atlantic snow storm! These shoes came highly recommended from various outdoor sites and I have been very pleased. Comfortable immediately. A little difficult to tie up tight, but since they are a new hiking boot, I expect as they de-stiffen it will be easier. Water could not get in, unless I stepped in snow or water deeper than top of the boot, however it does have a nice liner inside so even when my feet did get wet, I could dry them out pretty quickly. I bought them for my upcoming trip to Iceland, so hopefully they will continue to serve me well!

I am really happy with these boots. I have been looking for light weight hiking boots that do not look clunky and these are it! They felt good from the moment I put them on and there was no breaking-in time required. I usually wear a 5½-6 and the 6 fit perfectly.

Right out of the box, these shoes feel comfy. I haven't worn them out in the weather yet, but am looking forward to it. Ordering 1/2 size bigger is recommended. I love the blue color.

So pleased with these boots! They were comfortable right out of the box. They are light weight and not "clunky". The other reviews said they run 1/2 size small so I ordered up 1/2 size. Perfect for wearing thick socks.

I love these boots, comfortable right out of the box. I was concerned they wouldn't be comfortable due to a bunion but wide toe box accommodated it nicely. I have been wearing them almost everyday since they arrived, and my feet have remained warm and dry great traction on hard pack. I went up half size and wear medium or heavy weight socks comfortably.

I love these boots! One of my feet is a size 7, the other 7-1/2. I got a size 8 and they're perfect with a medium weight sock. Very comfortable and plenty of arch support. I highly recommend them.

Love these boots. I have worn them once. Walking a flat trail but over snow, frozen snow and trail was walked on which made it very uneven to walk on. My feet stayed warm and dry. No puddles of water - to cold. When it warms up I will be looking for puddles to see how water proof they are. Great traction. I wear a size 8 but ordered a 8.5 because of reviews. Wore a heavy sock.

First impressions: Cute boot, roomy in toebox, lightweight, easy to lace, very comfortable straight out of the box. First test : Snowshoeing at 8,000'+ for a few hours and my feet stayed dry + warm + comfortable. I didn't feel any chill at all! Amazing.

I bought these for my fiance. She picked them out on Zappos' excellent web site.....read the reviews, based her sizing on the reviews and put them on her 'wish' list. I gave them to her wrapped at Christmas. We went to New Orleans, she walked all daylong touring for 5 days straight and loves these boots!!! She raves about the comfort (unusual for her to find a comfortable shoe). They look good; appropriate from a sit down egg and hash diner for breakfast to a 5 star in the french quarter for dinner (Restaurant R'evolution)...for the traveler, they were not out of place.

These are the best boots ever! My Ahnu Montara boots have hiked Colorado mountain trails and get a daily winter dose of snow, ice, slush, and cold. Supreme comfort! I would give them 20 stars if I could. I wear a med. weight wool sock. These boots are flexible, supportive, waterproof, grippy, and breathable.

These are totally worth the money. I have size 10, narrowish feet and these are the best boots ever. They are comfortable right out of the box. They support my high arches perfectly (no shoe usually even touches my arch). They are soft and light (not clunky). Warm and cozy but not stiflingly hot. That said these are not summer hiking boots. Perfect for errands, standing around in the cold hockey arena, neighborhood walks, hiking in the woods. They have ample space in the toe box so it does not irritate the outside of my foot. I went a half size up (10½) to allow for thick socks and they are perfect. these are like a firm hug for your feet. I can wear them all day long standing and walking, and they are so cute! I get compliments on them every time I wear them. I feel like I will have them for years.

So comfortable, they fit like a glove. I like the fact that they come well above the ankles, they will be good to wear in the snow too!

Great boot, lightweight and comfortable right out of the box. I haven't had a chance to test if it's really waterproof, but my feet stayed warm and dry in a couple of inches of powdery snow...

I have owned my Ahnu's for over four years and they are in great condition. They are very comfortable. They offer great ankle support and keep your feet warm or cool depending on where you hike. The waterproof outside is wonderful. I also have custom insoles in these shoes which fit well when you take out the original insole. They fit true to size, even for those of us who have a wider toe base.

I figured I couldn't go wrong on a boot with a 5-star average on 370+ reviews. I figured right - these are GREAT BOOTS! So comfortable, sturdy and stable. Ordering a half-size larger was good advice from previous reviewers: they fit nicely with thin socks but there's still plenty of room for SmartWool socks on the thick side (no toe bumping/no bunion squeezing...). Slender profile, light-weight, cushiony ankle support, and comfortable right out of the box. Just what I wanted for city hiking in NYC this winter. Thank you Zappos!

Hiked Mt. Ranier in these boots. They were heavenly! My friend immediately bought a pair after seeing how well they performed!

Other reviews recommended ordering a half size larger. I normally wear a 7 and the 7 1/2 fit perfectly. A very comfortable boot.

I bought these as a gift for my wife's birthday to replace her old Merrill's. Buying a hiking boot without ever trying it on is a risky proposition, however after a LOT of research I found that no matter where I looked, these boots are almost universally praised as a great hiker. They did fit well with a good hiking sock. She has not had a chance to do a long distance trek yet, but they did fit, and she says they are very comfortable.

Comfortable right out of the box. Very light considering these are hiking boots. And they're stylish enough to wear for non-hiking events as well! Love the Red Mahogany color!
