I ordered up a half size, and couldnt be more pleased. These boots are solid and are breaking in nicely, and fit my narrow feet better than any other boots Ive tried. I also appreciate that I can have them resoled as needed throughout their lifetime.

These were bulky and not flexible. They were also smaller than normal 8s and I paid $20 (restocking fee) to try on one boot and realize it did not fit. I will not be ordering from Frye again because I cant afford 20 each time I try on a pair..

These are the most comfortable boots right out of the box. I've never been so comfortable walking around while breaking in boots. I love them. They look great with jeans, leggings, skirts, and a lot of my summer dresses. Best show purchase I've made in awhile: stylish, versatile, and comfortable.

After reading return policy I choose to purchase boots. Boots are small and I wanted to return them. Only after you place an order can you see return policy has a return shipping charge. They need to post this info on return policy so buyer can see it before the purchase.

I looked forever for the perfect brown combat boot and found them with these. High quality leather, cognac color, no zipper. The boots were stiff at first, but did soften up with wear and are very comfortable. I can wear these all day to teach and they look cute with everything. Fit true to size (I always size up a half size for boots because I love thick socks).

Great Frye quality . Ordered 1/2 size up to accommodate for socks. And they were on sale

Sent them back. I ordered a half size bigger and they were so tight on my feet and I have just normal 7 1/2 feet. The tongue seem to be sewn wrong.

One star for accuracy and dealing with Frye. So it did say on the website final sale, the boots were not marked down. They were $278. I have about 30 pairs of shoes in my closet all of which are size 9. They all fit my feet comfortably. All the reviews said true to size. So I had to purchase a boot stretcher, which was an additional $30. And Frye refused to exchange my boots for a different size. They said too bad so sad! PS I do not have wide feet.

An unfortunate experience of them not looking like the pictures online. Theyre not black with lighter faded but light brown leather with black smudges of color. So youre better off order the original black ones if you want black. These faded ones are not being correctly shown. Being in Europe Im not given the opportunity to get an exchange and reordering is not possible due to website stating US purchase only.

What I really love about my new Combat boots is that it only took one day to conform to my feet.

Color is beautiful and as pictured. Boot is comfortable and stylish. The leather is the quality you expect from Frye. I absolutely love them!

I was looking for an up-scale pair of real leather boots that will last me for ages. But, I also want comfort. These are the best! So thrilled I made this investment. I ordered a half-size up for comfort (I like extra toe room), and these are just perfect.

I love the distressed look. Just the right amount of a well worn appearance. Size 7 is a sure fit for me in every kind of shoe or boot. After reading other reviews, I decided on the 7.5 in this one. It was the right choice, they fit perfectly right out of the box. Cant wait for them to really get as well worn as they look. Gonna love these boots for a really long time!

This is my second pair of Veronica Combat boots - first pair (dark green) is holding up to almost daily wear, and was comfortable from day 1. Great way to have ankle support after a break six months ago - and they look awesome. Worth every penny.

I love the boot. It is very comfortable, fits true to size, quality leather, and looks rich and classy on. However unfortunately, I need to return them because one of the Frye branding emblems is too light that you can barely see it. I am afraid to send it back because I don't want them to sell out of my size. It really is a gorgeous boot!

I just received my Veronica combat coots in black. Size 9. I have to say I wish I had paid more attention to the pics and how distressed they would be. They literally look like they have been worn for years and they are almost impossible to get on, you have to pull half the laces out. I usually wear and 8.5-9 and I got a 9. I probably should have gotten a 9.5 they seem to run right. I think the quality is good, Im just disappointed I paid so much and do not love them and they cant be returned.

At first a little tight, but after wearing it a couple of times it broke in. Love the fit and color so much that I purchased two other colors (brown and green)

Absolutely classic and perfect boot. Beautifully simple and high quality, best of all: utterly comfortable on the very first wearing. Forgot I had them on! As comfortable as sneakers, for me.

I love the style and color of these boots, so I am determined to keep them and to make them work. The footbed runs tight in the toebox and narrow throughout, but sizing a half-size up means the footbed becomes too long. Also, the laces are weirdly short. Not the usual Frye product, but then again, I am determined to make them work.

Originally discovered Veronica Combat in 2018, owned one pair for bartending, one for not-work. Avg 10-25 miles of city walking per pair, per week, and they were amazing. Small maintenance with a cobbler kept them going strong. Purchased a 3rd pair in 2020, noticed small defects (imperfect sole attachment, loose threads) but they were solid. Beginning 2021, pairs 4-6 had massive defects - tongue improperly attached, one had a lump of material under the toe box, and current pair is imbalanced on one side. Two defective pairs purchased through dept stores, one from Frye directly. The leather and general look of the boot is still 5/5, but do not commit to a pair until you have fully inspected them.

It took me a while to purchase these because of the price but after a disappointing search for other brand boots, I finally did it. After reading many reviews and comments about sizing, I decided to buy a 9. I normally wear a 9 in other boots (Taos and Born) but my other Frye boots (Harness) are a 8.5. When I first put them on, I was worried they'd be too small but wore them around the house for a few hours and knew they would be perfect. And they are gorgeous. I'm very happy I decided to purchase!

Completely obsessed. They look great. A bit stuff at first, but they wear in quickly. I got the black, and was worried they would come in dark brown as earlier reviews stated - they didnt. I would describe them as worn black
