Very cute but the wide option is nowhere near "wide width." If anything, these felt narrower than regular shoes. I couldn't stand wearing them for even 5 minutes and had to send them back immediately.

These are insanely narrow! I wear a 10½ - 11 and bought the 11W. I could hardly get my feet in them, even with thin socks! Also, the video in the preview is stretched and the demo does not wear them fully zipped, so you cannot get a good impression of them in advance, which is a bummer. I also really was not a big fan of the suede-like finish on the shaft of the boots. I am not convinced that they would be good in the rain.

PRO: Zappos 24 hour shipping to the farm! Even the mail come's a day late. PRO: Feet stay where they are supposed to snuggly and stylishly. CON: If you have wide feet or wide calves don't buy the boot because the wide should be purchased by narrow feet shoppers. CON: Only made for day-to-day activities not heavy snow. Spray water protector all over show. OVERALL: Very hot shoe!

I have coveted these boots since last season, so when they came back into stock, I ordered them immediately. Sadly, these boots are NOT made for people who have calves that are less than skinny. I'm 5'4" and my calves are normal sized and I cannot zip them up (about 3" shy from the top). There is not stretch, so not way to squeeze them on. Sigh. Going back. Also with decent socks on, the foot area is a little tight too, but length was right on.

These were just too small, there's no other way to describe it. I frequently wear boots that others think have narrow shafts (Sam Edelman, Cole Haan, Calvin Klein), and with no problem, often room to spare. But I couldn't get these zipped over my calf!

The adjustable laces let these boots fit my very thick calves. But I ordered them in wide and my feet didn't fit. (I usually wear Keens and they fit nicely.)

If you are between sizes, order down. I am a full 10 but these seem a bit long in length. Its true these are narrow but I have narrow feet so that part is perfect. Good tread and solid sole -- maybe a little too country looking for me in person but I need something for the winter so I'm keeping them.

I just don't love these boots. They are comfortable, but their appearance is not what I expected from Timberland. The tongue is very thin and floppy, no structure at all, and the leather used in the rest of the boot is somewhat cheap looking for the price. Also, I have to lace them very loosely to account for my somewhat larger calves or I can't zip them. This means that the laces end at midshaft. Not a problem for me since I wear them under pants but if I wanted to tuck jeans in or wear them with tights it would be impossible. I'm keeping them as barn boots because they are so comfortable on my feet.

Wow is this boot narrow! I ordered a wide based on the reviews and I couldn't even get my foot into it. What a shame because it's a gorgeous boot. But do not bother purchasing it unless you normally wear a narrow show. I honestly don't think Timberland should sell this as anything but a narrow boot, it's that bad.

I had high hopes for this beautiful boot. The style is exactly what I was looking for, but I can't speak to its comfort because it was too narrow to even try on. My foot wouldn't even fit in the boot! I had read the previous reviews and ordered a wide size (even though I don't normally wear wide shoes). Sadly, even the wide size was much too narrow. I'd recommend the boot only to those with esp. narrow feet. But if that's you, then lucky you; it's a great looking boot!

These do not fit a wide calf. Also, the suede makes them impractical as winter dress boot. I am short and have very wide calves and thought lace-up boots would be a good alternative, but the tongue on these is so narrow it left a large portion of my shin exposed. I live in Maine and want a nice boot I can wear with skirts in the winter, but the suede extends all the way to the sole, so they are not a good choice if you want them to remain looking neat and dressy. Re: width of the boot, they felt just shy of actually being wide. As a leather boot some stretching is expected, but the sole itself felt more like a medium than a wide. They are really lovely, so I'm very sad to return them, but they just don't fit either my calf or my needs.

I ordered these after loving and wearing out the identical pair purchased last year. Unfortunately, the same size in Wide purchased this year felt smaller than my original pair, and I needed to return them. I'm not sure if they're being manufactured differently, but there was a definite change to the more narrow in this year's pair, making then unwearable for me. Darn! But they style gets an A+.

Horribly disappointed with these boots. When you order a wide, you expect wide and not narrow. I could barely get my foot in, and it was incredibly tight. Even checked the box to make sure they were not regular. The tongue system on the lacing was badly made and very irritating to use as it kept flopping all over the place when trying to get the boot on and lace it up. I would have loved for them to work as their look is fantastic, but the execution of the design is really missing. I regularly wear Keen's, which come standard in wider size, so its not like I've got gunboats for feet. Hope they re-do their idea of 'wide'.

These boots were comfortable, looked nice, and I liked the sustainability story. The problem was, that I wore them out once and they literally started to fall apart. The seam/binding near the laces on one of the boots was separating after having only walked approximately 10 blocks in them. It appeared that the seam was held together with a weak glue. I was able to put my finger into the hole easily separate the two pieces of the boot a few inches. Timberland is a great company and I'm extremely disappointed that with this product they are proving sustainable design to be...unsustainable! Come on Timberland, get it together!

These are great boots but when I received them, I was very disappointed because they did not look anything like the picture. I ordered "dark brown smooth", but it was more like dark dark brown, well, almost black if you don't look carefully. The picture shows the two-tone, the hard leather part being lighter brown and the soft leather part being darker brown, but the boots I received were just one-tone solid dark dark brown. They fit me perfectly but I wasn't happy with the color, so I had to return them.
