Love them! I ordered a wide but they feel more like a medium. Luckily they are just wide enough for me. Very comfy.

Love, love, love this boot! I've had these for over two years and am going to get the heel re-soled this year so I can keep on loving them! They are super high quality and very comfortable right from the start. I have flat feet so I added a arch support insole, and they are perfect. I'm petite and I also have narrow feet and slim calves, so buying boots is always a challenge for me. I don't want to look like I'm clomping around wearing fireman's gear! So these lace-ups are perfect as they allow adjusting the width of the shaft. They are not clunky at all and light-weight. I wear them to work with skirts and tights, or out over skinny jeans. I get compliments on them all the time. Even my podiatrist said they are perfect shoes! Highly recommend these boots... I'll be getting them in brown this year as well!

I love these boots! I have wide feet and ordered them in wide width, they fit like a glove and are very comfortable. Color is spot on to the photo and they are well made. Highly recommended!

I just received the Timberland Earthkeepers Bethel Buckel Mid-Lace boots in dark brown, put them on, and felt like they were made for my feet. Very very comfortable right out of the box. I have a narrow to medium foot with some extra width in my right foot's toes -- no problem. The boot fits nicely. Also, my feet are almost 1/2 size different from each other and the boot accommodates that very well also. Just loosen or tighten the laces and voila, the boots fit! Love the oiled leather look, tho it scratches easily. These are casual boots, fairly heavy and sturdy looking, so slight scratches or mars don't matter at all. I'll wear them with light to medium socks all fall and winter and love them already. They're warm, but not too warm. I don't like boots that are stuffed with lining/fleece and my feet get hot. These are comfortable.

Great boots! Comfy and cute. Very spacious... a little wide inside them but I assume that's to accommodate thick winter socks. Nothing but good things to say about these boots.

I love these boots as they are very comfortable on my feet and they look great with my dresses. I have been looking for a dress boot that laced up the front. Even though the boot only goes mid calf they still look great. I have had bunion surgery in the past and a lot of boots hurt my feet and these boots do not which is awesome.

A year ago, I stopped a woman who was wearing these to find out the make and brand. I loved the lacing and easy to get in and out of zipper. They were just what I have been searching for, so I am glad that I splurged with some birthday money to get them. These boots were very comfortable to wear and walk in as soon as I put them on and tightened up the laces and buckles. I wear a lot of skirts, and these boots look great with them. With the rainy weather here, I plan on wearing these boots a lot because of their styling and comfort.

Gorgeous boot but very narrow. I have a slightly wide foot so I ordered the wide to accommodate thick winter socks. I could barely put the boot on with a thin dress sock. I'm so sad because I absolutely love the style and color. In fact, my daughter saw mine and immediately ordered them in black since her foot isn't wide. They're rugged yet classy and comfortable. If you have a narrow foot, I highly recommend these. For those with average feet, you might want to try a wide.

Wow, I agree with most of the other reviewers - this is a great, fun, and classy boot. Like many others, I too have a skinny calf, and was very excited to find a boot that actually fits it. That being said, the foot is fairly narrow in the regular width too. Not too narrow for me, but potentially a problem for someone with wide feet. The shaft can of course be adjusted for a wider calf - I have the laces pulled as tight as they go. This boot is sleek, and so works with many looks - including casual skirts and dresses. I recommend Zappos puts this pair in their 'narrow shaft' category, as it's a great find for all of us ladies who need that

I love the boots except that I have big calves and these are a little tight. Not so tight that they are going back.

I have had these boots for three years - and I wore them basically everyday. I replaced the rubber on the heel after it wore down and it was back to normal. Now, one of the zippers will not stay zipped because, I guess, my ankle gets in the way. I could probably get that fixed or something. In any case, these are wonderful boots.

Really nice boots. A little tight across the foot. If you have a medium width foot or wear thick socks you may need a wide.

Preparing for rainy Oregon winter is no worry with these boots! Broke in easily, high quality traction and leather which is wonderful to look stylish and season savvy! I have slightly wide feet and these are still roomy enough for thick wool socks.

These are gorgeous, unique and the perfect height. I am a consistent size 8 but based on other reviews I ordered an 8.5. Good thing I did. Even going up a half size they are tight in thick socks.

I love these boots but they are very narrow! They will fit great if you have skinny feet. In my normal wide size, I couldn't get my feet into these. I then ordered up a full size, also wide, and the width of the foot still is a bit snug and of course it's long. The 10W is as wide as a 9W should be. But I didn't have the heart to send them back, so I've been wearing narrow, too-big boots and getting tons of compliments. I do LOVE the laceup/zipper combo, for easy on/off AND adjustability, so I can just as easily wear them with tights or thick boot socks and I can lace them to fit perfectly in the ankle and leg. They do have good support and are very well made, and I'm more comfortable stomping around in these than in the flats I had been wearing. Be aware that the combination of leather and suede means you have to be very careful when cleaning and conditioning them so you don't ruin the suede.

I do love that these are a slim fit boot! I have stick-leg calves so most boots fit like floppy galoshes on me, but these were nice and snug (and the laces make these super-adjustable, for wearing with jeans, etc.). The mix of smooth & textured leather on the side was a bit odd to me, but it's a neat moto look. I'm usually a 9.5 or a 10 - ordered the 9.5 here, but just a tad too tight if I was going to wear them with socks, so they're going to get returned...but I'll be back again soon, Zappos!

These boots are very stylish and comfortable right out of the box. I ordered a standard width, and they fit perfectly. I wear an 11, and, if anything, the boots may be a little long. Because there is no 10.5, however, I will stick with the 11. As at least one other person has said, if you have wider calves, you will have to get longer laces if you want to lace the boots completely.

Love this boot. I walk and/or ride my bike to work and they are as functional as they are stylish. Have worn them at least 4 days a week this winter so far with skirts/tights and skinny jeans. The lacing enables you to customize fit. Tons o'compliments from co-workers and friends! They are not super warm, so allow room for thicker socks if you are hailing from somewhere colder.

I initially fell in love with the color of these boots. They are also surprisingly warm and toasty for a New England winter. They have great traction too!

Ordered 6 different brands/styles and this fit the best. (I ordered a wide and it fit just right) Tough funky style is adaptable to dress up or down. I like the side zip for easy in/out and laces allow me to customize the tightness around my calf. Buckle is adjustable (unlike many other brands). Sole is cushy enough, not hard leather, which I like and think will help traction. I need to test in cold weather--will the sole still grip? Really wish they were water resistant but I can't find a waterproof stylish boot that fits my criteria of comfortable, wide toe box but not huge calf, dress up or down, grippy sole (except the fabulous Merrell Captiva but the damn buttons/rivets keep falling off those!) I think these will have to do. And they have the bonus of being somewhat eco friendly!

Terrific boot, much nicer than it looks on the video! Comfortable right out of the box. If you have really wide calves, may not lace up all the way, but I have a large calf and it was just fine. Would buy these again for sure.

The only reason why I'm giving these boots 4 stars instead of 5, is because it's a little difficult to tuck your skinny jeans into them, and I have "normal-sized" calves as pretty much all zip-up boots fit me just fine. I got them in the "dark brown smooth" and they're a lot darker throughout than they appear online, so if you want a true brown, I would get the medium brown. Other than that, I love them and are able to tuck my jeans into them with a little work. The zipper makes them really easy to take on and off so you never have to tie and untie them if you don't want to. I don't think they fit as narrow as the the other reviewers say thay do as I have a pretty bad bunion on my left foot, but these boots fit perfectly fine. They're very comfortable and look great with jeggings or skinny jeans and a cute sweater. Great quality and comfort overall. I've been wearing Timberlands for over 10 years now and never have been disappointed.

I have been looking for a mid-calf boot and am so very glad I found these. They are incredibly cute and very comfortable. I do have a narrow foot and calf so I am happy when I find a boot that my foot is not swimming in. I am usually a size 9 and did have to send my first pair back for a 9.5 which surprised me. They look wonderful with skinny jeans, leggings or under boot cut jeans. Great purchase, totally worth the money.

So, I'm 5'11" and I wear a size 11 shoe. While the size of these boots felt good, the shank hits at a really unfortunate place on my calf that causes skinny jeans/cords to bunch in an uncomfortable/unattractive way. I don't have particularly large or small calf muscles... I fancy myself pretty average in that department. It's that the shank just doesn't come up high enough, which is odd on larger sized shoes, because a lot of times larger feet is larger person. Ah well. Returning these. Hopefully one of you out there has a different-shaped lower leg than me and will rock these as hard as I wanted to!
