I've had my eye on these boots for a while, and they definitely live up to what I was expecting. They're very comfortable, very classy looking, and they fit just right. My calves and ankles are pretty average sized, and I think the boots could accommodate a larger calf and also still look good on a smaller calf. I have a bunion on one foot, and the width of the shoe is big enough to accommodate that comfortably as well. I did order a 1/2 size larger, just because I don't have narrow feet and I wanted to wear thick socks with them, and it worked out well. My only gripe is that the dark brown color is almost black, but that's not a deal breaker for me.

I love these boots! They are super comfortable and beautiful. I get lots of compliments. I have small calves and they fit well. I did take them in just a little to make even a tighter fit. I recommend them.

Great boots. Love that the upper part is softer leather/ suede and flexes when I walk and the bottom part is regular leather. Probably will waterproof spray my boots for them to better hold up in rainy/ snowy weather.

I love this boot! First I must say that I ordered them last fall in black but foolishly returned them. I picked a different pair to keep that time. I have a 15 1/2 wide calf and have a wide foot (D). The Black pair fit over my jeans perfectly but seemed a bit sloppy in the shaft. Well, I thought and thought about repurchasing in the brown and finally did! I ordered up 1/2 a size as the shoe seems to run a bit small. Since it's leather I expect it will stretch to a perfect fit. This pair seems to run a bit narrower in the shaft and stands up better.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Getting lots of compliments every time I wear them. Great boots.

These boots are amazing! I own lots of boots, and these are my favorites - comfortable and so pretty. A great value! The medium brown is nice, it has a hint of red/orange, so it's not boring brown.

Love these boots! Very comfortable and stylish. Cute with skirts or jeans.I like the waffle type tread on the bottom. I bought my normal size and they fit fine, neither too small or too big. The width is average.

These boots are so beautiful! I searched for maybe a year and finally chose these. I'm 5'5" and my calf circumference is 16.5 and these are snug -- tight over jeans even with expander thingy at its widest, but that's not a problem for me. One of my heels slips a little...again I don't mind because there aren't any repercussions and these boots are otherwise very comfortable. I get complimented every time I wear them.

These boots were beautiful, really, I loved them. Only problem was the band at the top, it fit around my calve, but not comfortably, and certainly not with jeans. So sad. Husband's sad too - they are really cute! And I ordered the 1/2 size up as suggested, and they fit beautifully everywhere else!

I love these boots! They are comfortable and adorable, and I have gotten many compliments. The only downside is that the leather of the main part of the boot looked "worn" within a couple of wearings. I think that's to be expected with leather, but the boots now look more casual and less dressy. Maybe if I take them to get shined, they will look more dressy again.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for with their quality and price and Zappos makes it so easy to order and return if necessary! Why go to a store?

Loved this boot but it was a little to loose around the heel. I considered keeping them and wearing a thicker sock but considering I live in the south it would not be practical. I will definitely considering ordering these again in a half size smaller because everything else about it was great. The quality and look are just what I have been looking for. I would highly recommend this boot to others but just order a half size smaller than you usually wear unless you want to wear a thicker sock.

I love these boots. They look really expensive and are very comfortable. I wear them all the time. I'm a size 9 and have skinny calves and narrow feet and they fit me like a glove. That being said, they probably would not work for you if you have large calves or wide feet.

Stunning boots and true to size. I'm a 7.5 and they fit perfectly. Have gotten lots of compliments on them. Can't wait till the weather cools off a bit (I'm in Orlando) so that I can wear them again!

These boots ROCK! I've been looking for a stylish pair of black boots that have some traction on the footbed (and not the slick ones most dress boots have) so I don't kill myself walking about in the winter weather but also looking good! These fit the bill perfectly! I get compliments on them every time I have them on! And they go perfectly with dresses and tights or leggings! I'm so happy!

Ordered a size 6.5 in the black and the light brown color. They arrived looking pretty good, except they seemed a bit tight in the toe area. Decided to change them for a size 7. It was a pretty smooth transaction with Zappos. Very fast shipping. Received the size 7 in same colors, but there were inconsistencies in both the leather colors and suede top. There were significantly different shades of leather within the same boot!...yikes! not good. Also, the suede material in the new boots felt very cheap. I compared the two 6.5 size boots to the two 7 size boots and noticed they were each manufactured in different countries. One pair in India, one pair in China, One pair in Indonesia...just crazy. What I can say is that the best one was the one made in India from my close observation of material & construction overall. I am a Fashion Designer so I know cheap when I see it and I have a pretty good judgment when it comes to construction. Timberland still makes a pretty comfortable shoe overall, but the materials, particularly the upper part of the boots are cheap. Outsourcing the boots everywhere is obviously taking a toll on the quality and consistency of this product, so be mindful of this when buying this product. I had these boots when I was very young. It used to have a little functional pocket at the upper outer sides of the boot with a snap, instead of a cheesy closure the re-make of this style boot has. The original design used to have a real buckle at both top and bottom that were easy to adjust. I am not too crazy about the replacement closure at top (a cheaper alternative). The boots I had long ago were very well made and I had them for many many years until they had holes in them. I got so many compliments for those boots then. The reason I ordered these was because they were my favorite, most comfortable boots I ever owned. Although I still love the overall style, I don't love how cheap they now look from the original design that had really soft, thick suede that held it's shape really well. I decided to keep the 6.5 size boots and will use a very good stretcher to make them more roomy in the toe area. Some noted that they suede tends to slough a bit in the shin area and this is true, but it seems that the higher the size, the more it looks like that. This is from my observation of having the opportunity to compare the 6.5 & 7 side by side. I don't mind it that it's a bit slouchy in the shin area, as it is not as noticeable with a size 6.5. Also, I have skinny legs and these boots run small at top which I like. It is hard to find boots that fit my slim legs. In conclusion, please be mindful that these boots are going to vary greatly depending on size and where it was manufactured. I would also advise to get one half size larger if you do not have a skinny leg problem like me. Lastly, the suede on the black boots are not as black as they appear on the picture. It is more like a washed out black denim jean color if you know what I mean. I would say same for the light brown, but not as bad as the black. I particularly kept the boots because I like the mixed material style and because Timberland makes really good soles that have amazing traction for the winter. I cannot afford to fall and brake a bone in pretty little heels.

I absolutely adore these boots. I bought them to replace a 7 year-old pair of Madden cowboy boots that I cherished but finally fell apart. I get compliments on these everywhere I go. I wear them with jeans, with dresses, with skirts, to work, running around on weekends, etc. They're very versatile and dress up or down nicely. I bought a 1/2 size up (usually a 9 1/2, bought a 10) based on other reviews, but I wish I hadn't; they're too big! I opted to keep them because Zappos was out of 9 1/2s, and wearing them with thick socks is fine. I don't know why folks are finding these small/tight. I am not a skinny woman by any means, but there is more than enough room in the shaft for me to wear these boots over jeans without a problem. Unless you have unusually wide feet and/or unusually wide calves, I recommend purchasing your true size in these boots.

I love this boot! I ordered a 1/2 larger like previous reviewers suggested; however, I really don't think it's necessary. I normally order a 9.5 and instead I went a little larger to a 10. I'm going to keep the 10 only for the fact that I put an orthotic insert into the boot and wear a thicker winter sock. If you're going to wear these mainly in the spring and/or summer, I suggest ordering your normal size. Overall, I love these boots and they look great with casual skirts.

I love these boots. They are absolutely worth purchasing. Every time I wear them I get compliments. They are perfect for a casual date or a dress-down Friday at work. Good fit, comfortable, and great style sums these boots up.

These boots are super cute. They look great with skinny jeans and dresses alike. My calves are pretty skinny and these boots have three buttons to adjust the width so the middle option works great for me - not too tight, not too loose. I wore them in the rain and they did not get soaked at all. They are really good quality and I received lots of compliments. One boot scuffed up a bit but I put some Vaseline on it and the scuff is gone.

Great boots - these boots are stylish enough for a night on the town as well as sturdy enough apres ski. Love the lug sole for wet weathers conditions. You can adjust the calf size which is a nice feature. The color is a gorgeous rich mahogany.
