Great riding style boot. I just received this and wore them to work today. Very comfortable, though the leather needs some time to work in. One calf seemed tighter\/smaller than the other, but has already stretched a bit with one day\'s wear. \r\nI was concerned about the size of the tread of these, which appears larger in the picture. They are not clunky looking at all, and the tread gives more traction than the last tall riding boot I tried and returned.

I have been wanting a pair of brown boots for several years but never seem to find the right combination of style, comfort, price and fit. I ordered the Bethel along with two other similar boots to compare fit and style and these were the keepers! I have pretty narrow feet so I often feel I\'m swimming in regular width boots, but these seem to be a good fit with a fairly thin sock. I like the low heel, comfortable foot bed and cute buckle accent at the ankle. My only complaint is the buckle jangles a bit when I walk.

This boot has a metal piece for upper calf adjustment strap that protrudes too far out. When I sit and cross my legs the piece pokes into my opposite leg and hurts. Too bad because it\'s such a cute, well constructed boot. Design needs a flat buckle or button instead.

Beautiful boots! However, tight in the box of the foot, made my toes feel numb after just a few minutes and they squeak very loudly on wood floors, that would go away with wear, lugs on the bottom are very rubbery...have to go back. Too much money for this quality boot.

I've decided these boots are fine. They are less great than I expected, based on other reviews, but they're fine. They fit to size but are a bit loose in the heel. I do like that they are a mix of leathers, which I think adds to their style, but think they should have been less expensive.

Ordered this boot in both the black and the burgundy. Burgundy went right back because the suede felt like sand paper; color was faded and scratched. Both pairs are snug in the toe box and over the arch and loose in the heel. Liked the look of the black, but keeping a similar pair of Clarks, the Orinnoco. By the way, the video says the Timberland are lined, however, they are not; the inside shaft area is the backside of the suede, so no lining. Given that these boots are snug in the foot, a heavy enough sock for cold Wisconsin winters wouldn't work. Sorry, returning.

You know that little voice in the back of your head that says, "Don't do it!" Well, I should have listened to it. This is a very cute boot, but I don't know what made me think Timberland would have changed their sizing. I wear an 11M. These were way too narrow and too short. Back to the drawing board.

I love the way this boot looks, but it is way too narrow. I bought the W/D width and it is way smaller in width than the other boots I tried (Clarks, Naturalizer, Fitzwell). I am bummed, no way I can wear it, and it was the best looking boot by far.

I would have LOVED these boots if they had a little more room in the circumference. They were just too tight to wear over my jeans. So sad.

The shoe looks good but it is completely unlined! I don't know if I received a bad pair or if the description is wrong, but for the price, I want lining. Otherwise, the boot is great & a little snug for those of us with high arches.

These look so cute, I really wanted them to work. But like another customer, I found that the slouchy look above around the shin area did not look right. It slouches because the middle portion is made of suede. Will be returning them.

Felt snug at first, but as I wore it around the house felt like it would stretch nicely. My one complaint is it looks too loose above the ankle. It almost looks as if my ankle had a corset on! It might work with jeans, but no way with a skirt. Even when tightening the adjustable strap up top and it looks too sloppy. Will sadly return.

I was super excited to get these! They look great, but the calf is way too tight for my 15½" calf (with thin leggings), so much so that when I finally got them zipped they cut off my circulation. I was bummed. I am returning them.

I love the look of this boot. I wear a 7 so I ordered a 7 1/2 - I could hardly get my foot in them...once I did they were super tight. I couldn't zip the boot all the way up over my calf. I am 5' 4" and 137 lbs but my calves are not tiny...and they aren't huge (14 1/2 to 15 inches around the largest part of my calf). I was very sad because I really like these boots. 3 pair - none of them worked. I think I may give up.

Quality of materials and workmanship disappointing; not equal to the price. Returned them today, in fact.

I was very disappointed in these boots. I thought they were leather, but just the shoe part and the top band are leather. I'm not sure what the middle is but it's not leather. When you stand the boot up it just flops over, like the middle part is fabric or something. Sending them back... They fit well in my normal size, 9 but they are narrow which was good for me... I just thought they looked much cheaper than what they cost...

I returned this boot for a couple of reasons. The suede material was very thin and would not stand up straight on your leg; it slouched down and made it look like my shin was bent backward. If the whole boot were made of the smooth leather, this boot would stand up straight and be much better. I should have measured my calf before i ordered, because the size 8 boot was too big around my 13.5 inch calf and also loose at the ankle. If you are looking for a boot that will fit a narrow calf snugly, this is not the boot for you. Try Miz Mooz or Michael Kors boots for small calves.

So disappointed! I looked through hundreds of boots on here and decided to go with these based on reviews and the small shaft circumference (I have skinny calves and most boots are extremely baggy on me). They felt cheap and flimsy right out of the box - the suede is scratchy and reminded me of boots I tried on at a chain superstore. These are certainly not worth the price tag. They were also tight in the ankle area.

I bought these boots in the brown leather two years ago on sale and I cannot live without them. The color looks great with gray or brown, and I constantly receive compliments. When I first purchased them, I was worried that I bought the wrong size, since I could barely get the zipper around my calfs, and while it did not cut off my circulation, I did get a couple small cuts from the leather rubbing. But I persevered and with time the leather has stretched. I am usually a size 10, sometimes an 11 because of my long toes and wide feet, so like many reviewers have mentioned, I could only wear thin socks at first, but now I wear thick wool socks in them throughout the winter. It took a while to break in these boots, but the small discomfort is so worth it. They are quality shoes and very stable and comfortable for wearing long periods of time. I have worn them for over eight hours at an amusement park and on plane rides. I highly recommend them!

I ordered these boots in 8.5 D width, I figured I usually fit into men sized shoes well and the width is usually D. I'm so glad I did! They fit perfectly, I was actually quite shocked. They look very nice and have a little bit of arch support. It's a very nice looking and seemingly well made pair of boots!

I personally own these boots and love them! They are so comfortable. I get so many compliments on them every time I wear them. Every time I wore them last winter my son's daycare provider commented how much she liked them, so I ordered her a pair as a thank you for great care for our son. Hopefully she likes them as much I do! I would recommend these; they've held up very well even through rough weather in New England Winters.

I have bigger calves than most people (from rollerblading and what not) so I wasn't sure these would fit very well. I tried them on when I received them and yes, they were most certainly tight. But I figured, hey, it's leather it might stretch out a bit. And now, after wearing them for maybe three full days over the course of a couple weeks, they've loosened up and broken in. Are now super comfortable and look fantastic.

Love the style of this boot so much! I wish I had been able to keep both the brown and the medium brown(chose medium brown). Living in Alaska it is important to find boots that will be able to handle at least some of extreme weather we have. This boot makes it possible to not sacrifice style for comfort/practicality. This isn't a snow boot but it is good for those days in between snow fall. The stitching is well done, so if you are just going to and from your car you shouldn't run into any issues. I would still recommend some type of water repellant spray and do it regularly if you are going to wear them in harsher conditions. My only issue is the same that others have already mentioned in the reviews, the boot scuffs easily. Hopefully nothing a cobbler can't fix, but if that is an issue for you try a lighter boot color and it might not be as noticeable. So not a work boot but a practical take on looking cute.

The texture and quality of these boots are great, which is typical for my experience with Timberland. I used to wear through shoes every 3-4 months (I get a lot of city/concrete mileage) but I have three pairs of Timbs now, the oldest of which have lasted 3.5 years! So there was no doubt I'd get another pair. But I was undecided about keeping this style because they fit really loosely in the ankle and calf. In the end, I decided I like the style and color enough that I added an extra hole to the ankle strap. The shaft of the boot is still loose enough to wear jeans inside, but with the ankle strap tightened, they feel great and I love the look. I wish I could tighten them a bit (note the "adjustable" strap on top is mostly for decoration), but my legs are thinner than average so it's likely that these will fit most average women perfectly.

If you are looking for extreme comfort, high qualify and a lot of compliments then these are the boots for you! Being athletic, and having feet that are on the wider side, I was concerned that these would not fit properly but thankfully my worries were put to rest when I put these beauts on. Also, the photos color is true. The material is a bit flimsy but as long as you keep the cardboard inserts, and place them back in the boot when they are not being worn, there is no need to worry about creases or other slouchy blemishes.
