I love the look of these shoes! And they're very comfortable. However, the quality is a little questionable. I've had these for a few weeks and the leather is already really scratched and scuffed. These shoes are on sale now, but I paid the full price. I'm not sure if it was worth the money for the quality. I would definitely buy them at the sale price. I'm bummed I had to pay full price! I just hope I can get more than one season out of them. Because after 3 weeks they already look like they've been through a season or two. :/

These are awesome boots - so comfortable and well made- however, I'm returning them. The only reason is the color... it is a MUCH darker brown than it appeared in the photo. Everyone in my house thought they were black! I already have black riding boots, so I'm going to choose a different pair of brown boots from Zappos. By the way, Zappos delivers amazing customer service! Love them!

I, too, was so excited to receive these boots for Christmas! They are very comfortable and fit my feet well, yet these will not zip all the way up - which means I will not be keeping them. Even ½" more in diameter near the last 1½" of top of zipper and I would keep them, yet I cannot pay that much for boots that I cannot tuck pants into or wear with leggings or a skirt and leave unzipped.

My last pair of Timberlands were purchased over a decade (or more?) ago. This brand lasts. I love the color (brown) of this boot. The shape and style aren't bad either. I just don't like the way it sags around the ankle.

A very nice looking boot! A little disappointed in the leather on the shaft of the boot, its a bit thin almost slouches but adds to the ruggedness of the style boot. I read reviews and decided to order my true size but went with the wide since I am always a 6 but the toe box is sometimes tight. 6 wide is perfect, and comfortable!! Wore them 15 hours first wearing (on my feet all day!) and they are quite comfortable. Got compliments everywhere I went today!

Love the style and look of these boots; they really looked like they were more expensive than the cost! Unfortunately, I had to return them because I have 13 1/2 calf and 6 1/2 foot and these boots were just too tight, I could not even get them zipped bare legged, much less try too wear jeans tucked inside! Very upset but had too return!

Darn it! Timberland are my favorite boots. No other shoe or boot has ever felt so perfectly tailored to my feet, nor been so durable, stylish, and comfortable for walking. I have many pairs of their shoes - even have two of the lace up mid height bethel buckle ones because I get so many compliments on them. However, these particular boots are just too wide around the calf for me. I have this trouble with most tall boots, however, so if you're not freakish like me, have no fear. I just wish they offered these in different calf widths, because even with the adjustable tab at the top, I still have a gap and that's wearing them over my jeans. Maybe I just need to hit the gym and do some stair climbing exercises. Not.

I didn't think these were narrow...they felt a little snug compared to other boots I have, but it was a good snug as my foot wasn't sliding around in these. I am petite and these fit fine around my calves, they were even a little loose. I don't love the quality...the middle section is a really rough cheap feeling leather. However, the foot bed was one of the more comfortable I have worn, and I have worn many brands (Hunter, Frye, Keen).

I love the style of these boots. I am a 10.5, and originally I ordered a size 11 but they were too big, so I sent them back and got a 10, which fit better. The are a little heavier than some other riding boots I have owned, but still comfortable for wearing around for a day. The only thing is that sometimes I feel that the space from the foot bed to the top of the boot isn't that great, and the first few times I wore them, before I broke them in, my foot would get a little bit tingly if I was sitting down.

I purchased these to wear with fall dresses and tights. I ordered the 9 wide (I can wear an 8 if I can get them wide enough, but I wanted to wear socks/tights). The right boot fit perfectly, the left was a bit snug on my high instep and I had trouble zipping the left boot. That's when I discovered my calves are different sizes! What?! The connection of the suede to the leather top part is triple stitched right at the widest part of the calf, which is where you might need a bit of stretch. Overall these boots look stylish and would have been perfect if they had just that extra bit of room for my left calf. I returned them and am in pursuit of something else that is equally stylish but fits me better.

Let me first start off by saying these boots are even more gorgeous in person! Very well made! Excellent quality. That being said...don't be fooled by the size. They run very small! I ordered a size 8 wide based on everyone's suggestions (I normally take a size 7.5 M). They are super tight around my feet and calves. I know they're going to be annoying for a while, but once they stretch a bit, they'll be delicious! I'm willing to put in the walking to get them to fit perfectly! Just whatever you do...order a size up and get the Wide!

Beautiful boots, and seem very well made. I didn't get to wear them yet, except around the house, since it's too hot so am waiting for the winter. BUT: They are very narrow! Even the wide is too narrow. I have wide feet, usually wear a size 9, and I got a 9.5 wide (I went up half a size) and they are still too narrow. I would not recommend them to people with wide feet. Otherwise, they're very good looking boots.

I love the look and feel of these boots, great color too. The one thing that erks me is the positioning of the button-thing at the top, where you can tighten the top strap. I sit with my legs crossed, and that button digs into my other leg, making sitting with legs crossed torture. My only complaint, but a pretty big one. If you're never going to sit, they're wonderful!

Beautiful boot! I have a very high instep arch... so the top of my foot is pressing hard against the top of the boots. Also the toe box feels a little squished. I'm exchanging these for a 9.5 WIDE. I've never tried a wide before, but I hope it works because these boots look awesome.

I ordered these in my true size and they were very snug. I would not be able to wear anything but thin socks with them. I also have a high arch and these have good support but felt too tight on the top of my foot. My heel also comes up in the back when walking. I feel that if I got a bigger size, it would solve all but the heel coming up in the back issue. The calf fit, but was snug at the top. I am returning them. They are beautiful and seem like great quality boots, but would need to be broken in as they are stiff.

I had really high hopes for this boot. This is the third (and last) pair of Timberland's I'm willing to try. It looks just like it does online (which is good), but after I tried it on and wore it around the house, they were stiff and I realized the boots look like leather galoshes--almost like fisherman shoes. Very disappointing. I'm switching to Miz Mooz.

For boots at this price range, I am very happy with the excellent style and great comfort. The construction and materials quality is about right for the price point. The suede shaft feels cheap, is very rough to the touch, scratches easily and is slouchy depending upon what you are stuffing into the shaft. The leather part is stiff but solid with a nice sheen and rich color. The inner footbed has a nice cushion with room to wiggle my toes and wear some nice soft socks without squeezing uncomfortably. I have medium arches and width and wear a size 8 or 7½. I chose the 8 for cold weather clothing purposes. The tread is flexible and provided me with lots of stability while walking on the cold icy sidewalks. What I love about the shafts are the calf adjustment buckles. I have medium width calves and I was able to fold and stuff my bootcut jeans with thick wool socks courtesy of the English knob adjustment strap and the smooth side zip. When I wore the boots with my corduroy leggings and trouser socks, the shaft wrinkled unattractively at my slim ankles. So I put some short leg warmers on to fill out the shaft. I own other boots that purposely slouch at the ankles, but the way that looks on the Bethels does not work at all. I see myself wearing these for a few years as the styling and versatility are excellent. Hopefully the suede quality will hold up its looks. My fear is that the suede will become brittle and crack.

Love these boots but I'm afraid will have to send them back and try a wide. I do have semi-wide feet, but also a narrow heel, so I buy regular width shoes. With boots especially I don't think I've ever needed a wide. I love the look, although the leather is much more stiff than the suede so when going up and down stairs, it was very uncomfortable. I would imagine driving would feel the same. Plenty of room in the calf--I got a size 9.5 and I am not a small person--about a size 12, so my calves are not skinny. the smaller the shoe, the smaller the calf, and vice versa, obviously. I will try the wide, and hope they work, but I am willing to bet the heel will be way too big. :(

These are really beautiful boots, I love them. They run about half a size bigger but with thick soles they are perfect and still have some room for toe box. The suede part is quite thin like I can tear it and the middle part of the heel made from wood (the one I got, it cracks that why I have to return) the look is trendy and can go with many styles.

This boot looks fantastic! The only problem I have is that it runs narrow. I have never had to order a wide size but I believe I would be more comfortable in a wide in this boot. Hopefully they will stretch as there are no wides available.

I wanted so badly to love these boots, as I'm on what seems to be a never-ending quest for a stylish, comfortable, all-weather boot that fits my skinny calves. But alas, the body of the boot was a different material than the rest of it and looked odd to me. It was also scratched up and scuffed. The circumference of the boot is narrower than many boots I've tried, but still not narrow enough for me. There is a handy strap at the top to tighten the fit, but when on the narrowest hook, the boot bunches up and doesn't look right. I'm sure this boot works well for other ladies, as the reviews indicate. As for me, my quest continues.
