These boots are beautiful, but they are definitely not a true wide width. Heartbroken to have to return them.

I needed a cute, waterproof, and comfortable boot for my trip to Ireland, and I am so glad I found these. I walked all day in these with absolutely no pain at all. They are very cute on and the color is perfect.

The search for the perfect Fall boot has ended! This boot fit perfect and is super cute and comfortable. There is ample room for my skinny jeans, but not so much that It is gaping unflatteringly. Perfect boot for skinny jeans or a cute fall dress. I ordered my normal size (10) and have zero complaints!

I was in desperate need of new boots, and when I saw these, I had to have them! The rough-out shaft is truly unique. I was a little nervous that they wouldn't fit in the calf due to several other reviews. I have larger calves, and finding boots that fit them is always difficult. I ordered the wide width hoping that would help, and it did...a bit. The boots were far from able to zip! They were such beautiful boots, though, that I decided to make them work. After soaking them in cold water and stretching them for about two days (a.k.a. wearing them around my apartment all day and night) they zip properly! If you can endure a bit of pain, some mild loss of feeling in your toes (that might be a bit of an exaggeration), and a bit of a wait to wear them in order to stretch them out, these boots are fabulous! I'm more than glad I put in the extra effort to make them fit.

These are the most amazing boots. They are exactly what I was looking for. I have worn them with jeans and shorts! My calves measure 13½" and the shaft circumference is fitted enough but not tight. The sizing is spot-on. As always I absolutely love Zappos!

Love these boots! Very cute and fit great and very comfy. I usually wear an 8, but ordered an 8.5, glad I did.

Love these boots! With that said, I'll say that I am so happy I ordered the wide size as opposed to the normal. There is no way I would have fit into the regular size when even the wide is a bit tight. Since they are leather though, I am not too worried as I know they will stretch out enough. They are super comfortable and like other reviewers have said, you will get a million compliments in these! I was a little surprised when they arrived that the shaft of the boot is soft and slouchy (I guess I missed this in the description) but it actually adds a lot of character to this boot. What can I say, I'm in love!

They look even better in person than online and seem really well made, so I'm pleased. I followed the advice of other reviewers and ordered a half size larger (7). I ended up returning them for my regular size (6.5) -- even though I had to struggle a bit to get my foot in one (apparently one foot is bigger than the other), but they should stretch a bit once broken in. I also have slightly wide feet, and the regular width was fine as well. It might be worth getting a bigger size if you have larger calves, though -- I have fairly thin ones and the one boot is a bit snug at the top. There was a lot of extra calf room in the half size up.

Love these boots. I wear a 7 1/2 and am really glad I went with an 8.

These boots felt lovely right out of the box. They are soft in the suede part of the boot and feel almost like cozy socks. I ordered the wide and a half-size up from my shoe size. They fit a tiny bit snug but nothing that wear won't solve. I echo others who've said this is a narrow boot. I have thin calves and the boots fit them without much extra room to spare. Wide-calved customers might want to search elsewhere. The style is lovely and I've received compliments on my first day wearing them!

Let's talk about these boots- I have had these boots for just over a year now. After reading reviews I bought these boots a size larger (10 instead of 9) then I normally would. My intent was to wear wool socks so I wanted the extra wiggle room. I would NOT recommend this. Just buy them in your normal size. These are leather boots and have stretched as I have worn them. The toe box is plenty large and roomy even for a thicker sock. These shoes are very comfortable. These boots have held up great after a year of moderate wearing! The leather looks great and even better after a little oiling. The only issue I have had are threads coming off of the top of the boot. With some scissors that problem was solved. I have worn these walking in snow, to the park, and to the grocery store. If you are expecting a stiff leather that can stand up on its own... these are not the boots for you. They have slouched more the longer I have had them and no longer stand up on their own. Overall, I would buy these boots again!

These are very very cute! Very comfortable, true to size, loved them. Unfortunately I am returning due to on one of the side buckles where the leather strap was, the hole was actually twice as large as it should have been, this caused a need to move to the last hole on the strap, making that boot tight.

LOVE the looks of them but they felt a half size too long (ordered an 8 1/2, felt like a 9) and I could barely zipper them over my calfs. I'm 5'5" and 155 pounds and can just squeeze them on over skinny jeans.

I ordered these a half size up since Zappos is out of stock in the wide width, but they are still too snug. I have never worn a wide in a shoe before, so these really are particularly narrow. It's a very nice looking boot, though. I'm disappointed they don't fit well.

This is such a good looking boot, I wish it fit me better. I have never bought a wide width shoe before, but I would have to in this boot for them to feel comfortable. I have average sized calves and the fit is just right with tights or leggings. Zappos is out of stock in the wider width, so I'm afraid these will be going back.

These boots look great and they are good quality. The shaft of the boot is very tight where the two different style leathers meet and are stitched together near the top. I couldn't zip them all the way up at first and still have difficulty when the zipper reaches the top part. I decided to keep the boots rather than return them and hope I can get that area to stretch, but it is still very tight. My calves aren't big, so I feel like it is an issue with the boot. I'm giving them only four stars because of the narrow shaft. The footbed and ankle areas of the boots fit comfortably.

This boot is beautiful and looks so well made, it just fits weird. The shoe part of the boot is very narrow and long. If you have feet that are even slightly above average width, get the wide. If you actually have wide feet, I'd look somewhere else. The calf of the boot is also pretty narrow, my "average" calves have a snug fit. Because these boots are so long and narrow they simultaneously feel too big and too small. Good thing they are so great looking!

I purchased the Medium Brown and they are a deep, rich color. I like the Equestrian look of them. I have had no issue with diameter of calf or toe box area -- just ordered my usual size 8. They fit over both leggings and skinny jeans without a problem. I am 5'4" and 123lbs . The adjustable strap on the calf is a very nice feature. I bought these boots on sale and am extremely happy with my purchase. That being said, I am unsure if I would be as happy if I had bought at regular retail price -- the toes and heels have scuffed upon first wearing. I am not too upset -- figuring it adds rustic character. However, I feel like the overall Timberland quality has decreased...both leather and soles are thinner.

These boots look great. I got the medium brown, which I think is by far the sharpest looking color for these boots, and the shade is very true to that on the website. I ordered a half size larger based on the reviews I had read, but I found they were too roomy even with thick socks on, so to me they seemed to run true to size in that regard. However, what surprised me (and may also be the reason why so many people are ordering a size up) is that I could barely zip them up - very tight around my calf - and I NEVER have that problem with boots, ever. These would have only worked for me wearing tights or leggings, but I wanted to be able to wear them with jeans (tucked in), which was never gonna happen, so I'm returning them only because of that. Otherwise I loved them and would have definitely wanted to keep them, as they look fabulous and were otherwise comfortable.

I quite liked the look of it online, but when I received it found that the leather in the shaft and overall appearance is a bit flimsy. This boot does not feel like it could handle more than lightweight city walking in nice weather. It also runs about a half size small. I have had other Timberland boots even from the Earthkeepers line and have not had size or sturdiness issue with those.

These are great boots. They look great and feel great. Wonderful quality. The only "issue" was being that the boot shaft is suede with a leather cuff, they tend to be a bit floppy. I stuff them with news paper when I am not wearing them, so they can keep their shape. Although these boots are fantastic I would not recommend them for extreme cold weather. Overall great boots and great quality. I have gotten quite a few compliments.

I carefully read over 300 reviews before I ordered these boots. Here's my two bits: Fit: I ordered the tan ones in 8.5 wide, which is my normal size, and they fit perfectly. I was surprised that so many people complained of it being a narrow fit, even the W. I cannot wear shoes that do not have a wide toe box so I've always thought I have wide feet, but maybe not as much as I thought. It is a roomy fit that accommodates heavy socks, which I like. The top band of smooth leather is tight at first but quickly "gives" and is fine even over heavy fabric. Style: It is a more casual look than I was expecting but I mostly want them for casual wear so that too is okay. A kind of rugged, outdoorsy, western look that suits me. Pull them on over jeans and I look great for any occasion where jeans are appropriate. Biggest minus: It's true the suede leather does not support itself and settles into a somewhat rumpled look. Makes me think of pirate's boots. But I've always had a thing for pirates so that's okay too. Many reviewers say they are "great over skinny jeans," but the slack in the suede easily accommodates the excess fabric of boot-cut jeans. The biggest plus: Flexible soles are extremely comfortable, very easy on the feet, and promote good posture. I feel completely grounded in them. Unique look. You are really making a statement when you wear these boots. I am a youthful 61, weigh 170 with shapely legs (15" calf measured over jeans), and am still quite the outdoors girl. I find I like the statement these boots make about me.

Based upon reviews and a short time frame in which I needed these boots for a trip I ordered both the 9 and 8.5 (my normal size). I have very thin and narrow feet and the 8.5 was surprisingly tight on the sides. The 9 was a tad big and was very loose in the ankle while walking around, even with thick socks. Sticking with the 8.5 with thin socks and hope they stretch out a bit after breaking them in. Very nice looking boot but scuff very easily - already have a few scuffs on them and I just took them out of the box to try them on.

The only reason why I didn't rate these boots perfect is because the ankle area slouches a little. However I have very skinny ankles so it's prob my fault. I really love these boots they are made very well and not cheap looking at all. The traction on the bottom is perfect for rain as well as water resistant. It finally rained in Cali and my boots were amazing, no leaks as well as the color didn't change it has wax on the boot so water just beads off.
