Maybe the best pair of boots I have ever worn! Very stylish and beyond comfortable. The material in the main part of the boot is really very pretty-in fact better than the photograph. Fits all size legs as the top strap is adjustable.

Very happy with these boots. They are excellent quality and color is rich and attractive. Got many compliments on them over Christmas.

I've been shopping for boots for months, and my search ended with this fabulous pair from Timberland. I got the dark brown color, and they complement so many outfits! They look great with jeans, but equally as beautiful with a dress. And, of course, Zappos just made everything even better with their outstanding service! These boots were a bit too small and narrow for me, because I wanted to wear thick socks for winter. I had purchased them during a sale, but when I received them the price had already changed back to the original. Zappos gladly made the exchange for a larger size, and not only did they not charge anything extra, I received my new boots within 2 days! I am extremely satisfied with this purchase, and I highly recommend anyone looking for boots to try this one out. Something to keep in mind, though, if you want to wear thicker socks or have wide feet like mine, that a half-size larger would make all the difference in terms of comfort. Also, the shaft is a bit narrow, as others have already said. My calves aren't big, but it was still a pretty snug fit. Otherwise, perfect boots! Thanks so much, Zappos!

These are nice boots but the shaft circumference is way too big. They also felt a bit narrow. I have never had to wear a narrow shoe size. Unfortunately I will have to return them.

These boots are fabulous! They look really sharp, both with skirts and with leggings or skinny jeans, and they were comfortable right out of the box. I am a true size 7, and though they were a tiny bit snug at first, they loosened up quickly. I get lots of compliments on these boots. They are very stylish without trying too hard.

I ordered these boots for the price and the style. I now have my boots and I love them. They are very comfortable. I normally wear a 9N. I ordered the 9M, and have worn them with 2 layers, tights and socks. They have been comfortable for all day wear. After doing more reading about the boots, I am happy that they have some recycled rubber in the sole, and recycled water bottles in the lining. I don't consider myself a tree-hugger, but I like to support companies that make an effort to give back.

I found them a little narrow at the toe. Not too narrow that they were uncomfortable. Also, I wear an orthotic which didn't fit in the boot so for me, they lack enough arch support. My biggest issue with these boots was that the top seam would rub my tights or nylons and fray them so bad that I could only wear the tights with boots. I gave feedback directly to Timberland.

Love these so much, this is my SECOND pair! I first purchased these last year in black. I normally wear and 8.5 medium, but in these I needed a size 9 wide. In part because I have wide calves. Normally it is so hard for me to find boots that fit comfortably over my calves, but these do and they look fantastic on! I just purchased the light brown. Love, love, love them!

I'm updating my review now that I'm actually wearing the boots - They're still a 5 star for me. I love them and can't believe I've found a boot that zips up all the way. I'm a 15 1/2" calf circumference girl, and these zip fine; however, I won't be able to tuck a jean down in them, but that's ok. I did want to add one important thing - if you sit with your legs crossed BEWARE! The metal stud that pokes into the strap at the top of the boot pokes into your bottom leg when you cross them. It HURTS and I'm unable to sit cross-legged which is a pain. The boots are still a 5 and I've since ordered them in black for myself and a pair in the light brown for my daughter. I bought them on sale here and came back the next day and they'd gone up which made me very sad.

Fantastic boots! I usually wear a size 7, but after reading other reviews, I sized up to a 7.5 and it fits perfectly. At the widest point, my calves are 14.5 inches in circumference. These boots zip up perfectly with both leggings and jeans-- a perfect fit as the shaft doesn't sag or look baggy. I own a few pairs of jeans that are made with a thicker material and the boots zip up just fine on those too. No break-in time needed, which was awesome. They were comfortable the first day out! I wouldn't suggest wearing them in the rain, but they were great for snow and ice (wore them around in Banff) and city walking. The leather scuffs easily, but they still look great. I got the dark brown pair. Highly recommended!

I really wanted to keep these, but they were too baggy around the ankles and calves. They seem to be made well, and the brown color was fantastic. Would recommend for ladies with thick ankles.

These boots were waiting for me when I arrived home from work, but I waited until the following morning to try them on. This is the first pair of boots/shoes that I took out of the box and did not want to take off, so I didn't and enjoyed them all day! Compliments, comfort...I would highly recommend!

Buy them. Order 1/2 size up and buy them. Whether you have skinny calves or "athletic", buy them. I don't think I'll be able to wear them with jeans tucked inside, but they'll look super cute with a denim skirt. I'm so happy, I'm back to buy them in another color.

My husband bought these for me for Christmas and used the reviews as a guide, so it's only fair that I add one. I have worn them every day since Christmas, which is big since I have 2 other pairs of brown boots that I love, in my closet. These are so comfortable - slightly tight in my right foot (which is slightly bigger than my left) initially but quickly stretched (and I even have a bunion on that foot). They are true to size - I take an 8 and the 8's fit great - I don't wear super thick socks though so if you plan to do that you may want to consider sizing up. I really like them, they are a dark brown so they go well with anything you'd wear with brown boots but also with black as well. I'd buy them again if I had the chance and have even considered getting the black ones....but my boot obsession is another story!

Am absolutely THRILLED with these boots. I read many reviews and ordered accordingly. I can wear 8 1/2 or 9, depending, so I ordered a 9 and they fit perfect. The quality of construction is amazing for the price. They look beautiful and are the perfect height (I am 5' 7"). I couldn't be happier! Don't hesitate- buy them!

Bought these a month ago and love them. I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 and I bought the 8 based on reviews. They fit perfectly. I chose brown and they are exactly the color of the picture. I was afraid they were suede on the upper part, but they are really a rough leather, which I like better for the winter. I'm able to zip them up with regular jeans and they look good with skinny jeans too. I've had many compliments. Definitely would recommend them.

Zappos' shipping puts all the other websites to shame. Yesterday, my boots were in Kentucky and this afternoon they were on my door step in L.A. I workout a lot and have decent calves. The boots are big around my ankles and tight around my calves. Since they're leather, I know they'll conform to my calves when they're broken in.

Cute boots soft leather. The heel is a bit roomy, but with thicker socks it feels fine. Fits comfortably over my 15.5 inch calves and skinny jeans.

I was skeptical about ordering these boots as reviews indicated they ran small. I wear a 8.5M and decided to order my correct size, opting out of a half size larger as advised. I found the boots to be true to size and I can even wear thick socks with no problem. These are the most comfortable boots ever. You can wear all day with no sore or tired feet! They look great with jeans or a skirt. The shaft is narrow which for me is no problem as most boots are real baggy on my legs. Non-slip rugged sole is also a plus. You will not be disappointed.

I was worried from the photos that this boot would be a bit "clunky" looking, with the big heel/soles, but it's actually quite sleek, especially if you like the "riding boot" look. The sole is very well made, being a Timberland product. There's no "clack clack" or any noise at all when walking on hard floors. (Maybe some people like "clack clack" boots, but personally it drives me nuts!) Also, I'm not a fan of suede but took a chance on the brown leather color - turns out the middle part is NOT the cheap suede I was imagining, and doesn't scratch or get damaged easily, which is great. Overall, I am extremely pleased with these boots. Very comfortable, stylish, good quality materials, and easy to put on. I have only owned them around a month, but I'm betting these will last a long time.

These boots are the most comfortable and well made boots I have ever bought. They fit perfect with or without socks and I wear them all day without any pain on my bunions. Please find them in other styles and colors and I'll buy more!

These run true to size, and are super cute. You can dress them up or down, they provide good traction. I get positive comments whenever I wear them like "I love your boots," or "where did you get those!" Customer service is amazing! They arrived in two days.

I read all of the reviews, followed other buyers' advice, and am beyond satisfied. These boots look superb ~ I call them my wonder-woman boots, because I feel strong and stylish at the same time. They are comfortable, wear some moleskine on your heels the first few times you wear them, then you'll be set. I walk all over Boston all day in them. Buy them half a size larger and wide for room for thick socks (very important in the winter) because they run small and narrow. These boots are a very worthy investment of your hard-earned cash, and are built to last a long time.
