Bought these boots in brown last year and loved them so much I had to get them in black. Great with skinny jeans and leggings. The shaft is a little wider than I would like, but my calves are a little on the scrawny side :). Very comfortable!!

I got these for my wife for Christmas, and they look great and she loves them! I ordered a size up based on some of the reviews, but it turned out the first time they were too big. Ordered her normal size and they fit great. She wears them all the time as they are comfortable all day.

I love these boots! I've been looking for a pair of comfortable black boots that I can walk around the city all day in and these are it. I have wide feet and it's hard for me to find comfortable shoes. I wear a size 7.5 but usually buy an 8 to be comfortable. I was really happy to see these boots came in wide. I've never worn a wide size so I was afraid they would be super wide. When I received them, they didn't look wide at all. If they didn't say D (for wide) I wouldn't have believed it. It took about 2 days to wear them in, but it didn't hurt my feet in the process. Now they are really comfortable, fashionable, and I love them! Plus when they went on sale, Zappos refunded me the difference! I love Zappos. I really don't think I will shop anywhere else for shoes after such a great experience.

I got these boots in the lighter brown color a year and a half ago. They're amazing! Every time I wear them, I get compliments. So when I found them in black, it seemed like a no-brainer! Unfortunately, what looks like nice suede on the brown pair ends up looking like neoprene in the black. My husband says they look like biker boots, which is for sure not the look I was going for! I'll have to pass on the black version - but I still highly recommend the brown. They really are great looking! Oh and one more thing - when I got the brown pair, they seemed very snug in the calf. But as I expected, they stretch out a little and become very comfortable. Don't let it deter you!

Beautiful boots that fit my size 10 wide width foot perfectly; however, the circumference of the shaft was not wide enough to fit my 17" calf. Totally bummed that I have to return them!

The others' reviews are spot on! These boots are very smart-looking, fit well and are comfy. I do wish they were a bit taller. Their style falls somewhere between equestrian and cowboy; but not too much of either. They are unusual enough that you won't see yourself coming and going.

I needed some more casual brown boots and didn't want to fork over a lot for Fryes. So I tried these, but I actually bought them for less than one hundred dollars from the large e-commerce site named after a river (and I received them within 24 hrs...faster than Zappos believe it or not). I LOVE them. I had some old Rockports that are no longer made and I cannot find them anywhere on the internet. My legs are fairly short and these still were below my knees. The little strap at the top tends to curl outward, maybe from crossing/uncrossing my legs. I can probably tack it back. I wore these walking around Savannah GA for miles and feet were fine (and my legs were fine the next day). The rubber on the bottom makes them county chunky "loud" as if walking in rain boots. I wear an 8.5 and that's what I bought. I have pronated feet (fallen arches) so arch support isn't really an issue.

Love these boots! Comfortable right out of the box. True to size, good quality leather, zipper pulls up smoothly, and nice, understated, details. I would highly recommend Timberland and Zappos, of course!

These boots are marvelous. I have received so many complements about them. They are true to fit. I was thinking I would need an 8 because of the socks etc that would be worn with them but I needed my true size of 7.5. I had no problem returning them. Even though the original price was listed when I needed to reorder, I called Zappos and they honored the sale price. Excellent on ice.

I love these boot! I originally ordered Frye boots, but could not get my high arch foot into them...thanks to Zappos return policy, it was not a problem. I read the reviews on these. So, I ordered I/2 size up and the wide boot. I can easily wear them with a sock. I can comfortably wear them all day and because of the adjustable calf strap, I can wear them over skinny jeans. I recommend Zappos to everyone. Buying shoes couldn't be easier.

I really like these boots! I have small feet and large calves, and after reading others' reviews, I ordered a half size larger, which worked great. One warning though: the shoes come with a cardboard insert, which did not feel like an insert. I just thought the shoe was very uncomfortable! So be sure to reach down deep into the shoe and pull that out before trying it on! This was a great buy!

These boots are easy to LOVE and I received many compliments the first day (and every day) of wearing them. they are very comfortable. Like another reviewer stated, I wore these for 8 hours the first day and walked a couple miles in them. I ordered a half size up believing I would ave room for thick socks but that is not the case. I usually wear a size 6 but the 6.5 is really fine.

Really nice basic boot. looks great with jeans. Somewhat casual but does work for some office attire.

I love the boots they are so comfortable and look great. I was worried about the shaft height because I am only 5'2" but they fit perfect. I got a half size bigger they were out of my size after some wear the heal is a little loose but nothing to worry about. I can wear with thick socks no problem. Favorite boots of all time. Zappos was very quick delivering and easy to order would do it again in a heartbeat.

Yes, these have a fairly narrow shaft but some quality time at the shoemakers stretched them to fit even my soccer girl calves. After that they were comfy as all get out! The are even better looking on than in the picture. They have the ability to morph with what you are wearing so that one day they can look equestrian chic and the next bad a-- rocker girl. The first time I wore them I had them on for 10+ hours and did tons of walking. The buckle jingles a little when you walk, made me think of spurs! These are more than worth the money to have them custom fit by the shoemaker. Comments on fit below relate to the actual foot part of the boot.

I love my new boots, they are extremely comfortable. I ordered them 1/2 size larger to accommodate heavy socks for our Minnesota winters. They have great non slip soles and are wearing like iron.

I love these boots. Every time I wear them I receive compliments on them. I wear an 8 1/2 in medium width and they fit perfect. I do not wear a heavy sock with them because it makes them too tight. The rubber lug sole is nice for traction and giving you some shock absorption. They are just a beautiful boot that I would highly recommend.

I ordered a full size up. I wear 10W normally and after reading the reviews I went for an 11W. The foot fits perfect but the calf is about ½" too narrow for my big calves. I cannot zip them all the way but close - so close. The boots are adorable. I ordered three pairs and these blow the others out of the water. They are exactly what I am looking for and since they do not come in a larger size I am going to take them to a cobbler tomorrow and have the calf stretched. It is also evening time and late in the month if you know what I mean so I am not giving up. If all else fails I will give them to my daughter who has the same size foot but her calves are not as big as mine. I swear I am this close to trying to lose 10 pounds just to wear these. I will try the cobbler first, I do not want to get crazy. I hope I can update this if it works.

Great boot, especially for girls with wider calves. The leather felt a little stiff but they loosened up after a couple times of wearing them. The leather is a beautiful rich brown that goes with everything.

I ordered a size 9.5 in wide width due to the reviews that say they run narrow. I have average wide feet and I wished I had ordered them in medium width. I also have an average sized calf (I think about 14.5) and with or without regular socks on, I could literally pull them on and off fast without having to unzip or zip. With really thick socks and jeans tucked in this would be a perfect fit on the legs - which is what I intend to use them mostly with so I kept them. I love the look - it's casual yet refined. Very comfortable and surprisingly light compared to a couple of other similar boots I have. A keeper indeed!

Love Timberlands, and with my recent back injury from my deployment, I can no longer wear heels. These boots are so comfortable that I forget I even have them on. I get compliments on them all the time.

I bought these for my sister and she loved them so much she got them in another color, too! Sturdy and comfortable. The calf was big enough to fit comfortably (she has muscular legs and can't wear a boot with a narrow shaft). She dresses them up with a skirt and tights for work. 5 stars!

These may be my favorite boots ever! And at 60 years old, I've worn a lot of boots. They are extremely comfortable right out of the box, flexible, gorgeous and ooze quality and style. I am complimented every time I wear them, and really I hardly ever want to take them off. I have narrow feet, and thick socks is all it takes to have these fit perfectly. Don't hesitate, these are simply delicious boots!

I love these boots! I've had them since Christmas and could wear them every day. We've had several snowstorms lately and these boots do very well. I feel secure walking over snow and ice and they don't get stained or marked even after being covered with snow. They are super stylish and look great with skinny jeans/pants and skirts. I have the medium brown. As other reviewers noted, they are a little snug in the calf. Mine have stretched a little since I first got them (from wearing them so frequently, no doubt!) so it's not a problem, but if your calves are pretty muscular, they probably won't work. The other slight downside is I managed to scratch them with my thumbnail when I was drying them off and it left what appears to be a permanent mark. It's okay because they are a bit of a rugged looking boot, but I was a little bummed I couldn't rub it out.
