I bought these boots two years ago and have loved them. Comfortable and light enough for long walks, but also stand up to cold/wet conditions.

These boots would have been fantastic if I could get them zipped all the way up! I wear a 7 1/2, and they felt great on my foot, but my 15" calves were too large for these boots.

Love the boots - super comfortable. The arch support and feel of the foot is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. My feet get cold in the winter, and these boots kept them warm. My only complaint was that the top of the boot around my calf was too large. It did not fit snugly.

These boots are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn in my life. They have a shock absorbing sole and are far more comfortable than my UGGs.

Absolutely fabulous. They have a great fit and look much better than the picture and - most important - totally waterproof! I do a lot of running around to meetings, etc. for my job, and these boots go with suits, skirts, dresses and pants. I've gotten quite a few compliments on how they look. So, I bought a second pair in case they become unavailable! Also, my sister got them and feels the same as I do, and just last evening my neighbor asked me about them and plans to order them. They are indispensable, especially as we live in the northeast and have heavy snow and ice events every week!

I was looking for boots that would perform in snow & cold but still look good with dress pants that required a heel. These were great and a good height. I ultimately selected a different Merrell boot because it had a higher heel, but I would highly recommend these.

Love these boots. Tried 3 other boots from Zappos before finding these. These are great looking, and fitting. Simple classic look won't go out of style. Wear with jeans or skirt, dress up or down. Again I love these boots! I am 5' 9" with high arches and average calves. These fit snug around the calf (hate the loose look) with no bunching around the ankles. Can't say enough good things. Ordered on Sunday and had them by Tuesday, thanks Zappos!

They have been wonderful. It took some time to stretch out the calf area. I have big calves, but by stuffing them with lots of socks and letting them sit over night did the trick. Once I wore them for a month or so they zip up with ease. They are great for the damp Portland, Oregon fall and winter. They did get a little scuffed up, but a good shine and leather care help removed that. I really love these with skirts and jeans. I walk a lot in these and they care super comfortable and keep my legs and feet nice and warm. They look great and are a staple in my winter wardrobe!!!

I bought my first pair of these three winters ago and they are the best winter boots I've ever had. These stood up to subzero cold and blizzards. After three years, the road salt got to them, but I'm thrilled that they can be replaced. I can even wear skirts in cold weather because of these boots. My small ankles, muscled calves and high arches are hard to fit in boots, but these gave me no problems. Yes, they're snug, but they stretch.

I love these boots! They totally saved the day on a recent trip I took. I took them along, even thought I'd just bought them and had never worn them, and they were absolutely perfect. Rainy weather, fair amount of walking, cobblestone streets and lots of stairs. I have really picky feet, sciatica & low back pain as well. They looked fabulous (with casual skirts, leggings, skinny jeans) and were so unbelievably comfortable. The leather feels wonderful. I'm not nuts about the neoprene strip up the side, but it's not a deal breaker. They fit me like a glove. I have narrow ankles and medium wide calves (not wide enough for "wide calf" styles, but too wide for most regular full-length boots). The soles have a nice grip; they feel very stable. For reference, I usually wear a 9 but took a 9.5 in these; with medium thick socks they're perfect. Worth every penny, for me.

This is a stylish boot which fits true to form and look great in bad weather and good weather. Merrell are great working boots, but these are a great casual, dress, and weekend boot.

I first purchased these boots +3 years ago and the moment I put them on felt like gloves to my feet. This is my second pair and still love them. They are not only beautiful, but comfortable and warm.

These boots became my go-to choice for in-town and out-on-the-town and a great fit, comfortable for city/town walking, warm, and good with leggings and tights.

These are my 5th pair of Spire Peak. I wear them every winter in NY, even in the Fall - by the end of the 6 months, they are completely done...and then I buy another pair - every year. Amazing shoes. If you wear them less, they will last you longer, but given the amount of time they're on my feet, 6 months in bad weather is great.

Love, love, love these boots! They were exactly what I hoped they'd be; comfortable even with my bad feet, practical in bad weather and stylish enough for work. Perfect. When I first put them on, they were a little uncomfortable around the ankles, a little bit of rubbing there. But after walking around my apartment for a few minutes they felt fine and have been that way ever since. The gusset is key since I have huge calves that are hard to fit. They were a little snug at first, but now are quite comfortable, especially with hose or tights. I got a half size larger than what I usually wear so I can use inserts and heavier socks. I could not be happier with this product. Merrell's reputation for quality is definitely well deserved and as always, Zappos blew my mind with their speedy service.

I like them a lot. Very comfortable thick soles, which I really need. I ordered 9 1/2, though I usually wear a 9, and the larger size fits well.

I love my boots! Since I bought them I have used the at least twice a week! They are comfortable, look nice and fancy but kind of outdoorsy at the same time.

I wrote a review 2 months ago which was before there was any real snow to battle. I would like to officially say now that these boots are blizzard proof! I dug my car out in them, walked in huge drifts of snow, and all the while my feet and calves stayed dry and warm!

Perfect boots for walking all day in cold weather. I needed something dressier than my Uggs or snow boots to wear on outside that would keep my feet warm and dry with some traction. The heel length is perfect for this (not too high and dressy/slippery and not too low and snow boot looking). The only downside are they are extremely warm and can get hot if you are wearing them mostly indoors. Very comfortable and look cute with jeans tucked in. Love that they are waterproof!

You will not be sorry! The boots are beautiful and so comfortable! You don't have to break them in because they are a brilliant design. There is no arch support, but I didn't miss it because when you step, it is like walking on marshmallows! I make my friends try these on and they are amazed. The boots are true to size. I wear a size 8 and the fit was perfect. Wondering about the calf width? My calf is 14". The boots are snug but not tight. There are no red marks left behind on my calves. I would recommend you wear tights or knee-high socks because the insulated interior was a little abrasive to my exposed leg. (I was wearing ankle socks. I won't do that again.) I don't know about how waterproof they are but now I am ready to stomp through our first snowstorm! I am a school teacher and my feet didn't hurt all day! I really like these boots. I almost returned them, because I have bigger calves and they're a bit snug in that area, but then I decided I like them too much to do that. So, the good news for folks with 17.5" calves: the neoprene section will stretch enough that you can wear the boots. Bad news: you'll have to stick with tights and leggings in the boots, because pants won't fit. For smaller-calved folks, these boots will be much more versatile. However, as I said, even with this limitation for my calf size, they just look way too good, and are way too functional on top of that for me to want to get rid of them now. So, I still heartily recommend these.

I love these boots! I have about a 15 3/4 inch calf circumference and these fit snugly, comfortably, and with no ankle bagginess. The footbed was extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of arch support. All in all a fantastic boot - almost makes me wish for winter.

I felt like I tried on at least a million different boots this winter. I love boots, but I have a problem big-toe joint, and wear a 10 1/2. No luck. I read the reviews and knowing I could return them, I ordered the Merrells. The fit is loose in the ankle, but the calf is nice - most styles in large sizes are too loose for me. I had the trouble spot stretched, wore the boots to New England (winter, there) came back and had the spot worked on some more. They fit now, and really do look quite nice.

I love them - perfect size 7. Very comfortable - I can walk a lot of miles in them. I was hoping to like how they looked with skirts more than I do - they're better with pants.
