I got these shoes to replace the Keen Utility Detroit shoes I returned after hating them (too narrow, stiff, looked enormous & super heavy) and, as much as I hated the Keen's, I love these Merrell Siren Sport shoes! Comfy right out of the box, supportive, lightweight. Just wish the W width came in more colors. Otherwise, I am very happy with them!

These fit great. True to size and width. I wear with light hiking socks. Have not had them long enough to rate wear and tear!

Love the shoes, very comfortable. I did order half size larger after reading the reveiws and they fit perfect.

These hikers have quickly become my all-sport shoes. I wear them every day. They perform on rocks, sand, and pavement. So comfortable I can wear 'em all day, & not even notice they're there.

These shoes are great. They are so comfortable that you forget you have on shoes. I bought them because I needed a pair of waterproof hiking shoes. I already had the regular hiking shoes and loved them. Now I have two pair to pick from when getting dressed depending on the weather and color. Your feet don't get hot in the waterproof shoes. You can't tell the difference. You just know your feet feel great. Both pairs of my shoes are wide width.

I love these shoes. They are so comfortable and supportive. I ended up going up half a size to give myself enough room in the toebox. I have had a pair of these for about 12 years now and they have never worn out. They are highly recommend!

Fantastic shoes. I have used them for many years, and I have never regretted taking them with me. I have hiked part of the Appalachian Trail with them and they had great ankle support. I also brought them to Europe with me, and they have been great on cobblestones as well as sheep poop and muck. Very versatile even though they don't have the best looks, and they are very comfortable and have great support. They take a couple of days to wear them in so don't buy them the day before you leave for a trip. They are well worth the "wear in".

I have always been a big fan of Merrells but found these uncomfortable. They were a bit narrow through the toe box for me and rubbed on the bone just above my arch. Bummer because I really wanted them to work.

Tried several different pairs of hikers and these were by far the most comfortable. They fit true to size and are very comfortable. They are not sneakers so they are not as flexible, but they are very sturdy and offer great support. I walk my dog through the woods to a park daily and these have been great. They are very lightweight and definitely waterproof. I can walk across a shallow creek and my feet stay dry. I highly recommend these hikers.

Great shoe but Merrell is having a quality control problem. I ordered 3 pairs and all of them, except one shoe, had ridges in the heel area. Hiking any distance certainly would have produced blisters. I wore them for several days in the house and the heel was always red. Too bad....everything else was great.

I got this shoe and the similar Merrell Siren Sport. Same shoe? No! The Siren Sport is without Gore-Tex but it was more comfortable and fit better. Though I would like Gore-Tex in a shoe, I didn't like the fit or the stiffness of it. So I am returning the Sport with Gore-Tex and keeping the regular Siren Sport.

These shoes are indeed waterproof. Have had lots of rain and have walked through grassy areas in park for an hour or more at a time and have had no wet shoes or socks. Bought a half-size larger at first based on some reviews. Had to return and go to my regular size, which fit perfectly. Observation on selecting size: 1) If wear very heavy socks, go with the half-size larger; and 2) if you measure your foot and size is closer to, say 8 1/2 (my size) than it is to 9, go with the 8 1/2, taking into account what I said about type of sock you routinely wear. The bottom grid on this shoe is fantastic for those who do light hiking or walk in uneven terrain. Arch support is more than adequate, but not as good as some shoes I have bought. They look good and clean up well. For those who walk/hike a good bit or nee, these shoes are well worth the money.

I purchased my first pair two years ago and they were immediately comfortable in a size 9W, up one half size. I am a 61-year-old former runner and have a fair amount of foot and knee problems and the Merrell Qform technology seemed to be a terrific help to me. The shoes are light and look much smaller on my feet then any equivalent I've tried. My only complaint is the durability. The waterproof quality diminished and the lining and exterior of the shoes deteriorated considerably within two years of regular use. However I just purchased a second pair because the positive attributes of this shoe outweighed the durability drawback.

Really like this shoe. It is waterproof (wearing it in snow around town) and keeps my feet warm outdoors without being too warm indoors. It's lightweight; it feels night-and-day different from my Patagonia Drifters. It's also very cushion-y. I'd love a little more support under the arch because I have high arches, but it's not bad after several hours walking without an insert. Bonus: it looks surprisingly small on the foot for the room inside, which I like.

I ordered four pair of similar models in the hope of finding just the right pair of Merrell's to replace a beloved worn out pair. These would have been perfect if it had not been for a the tongue on one of the shoes cutting into my foot. What a disappointment. I loved them and am sorry to be sending them back. I highly recommend you give them a try. They might be perfect for you. Great support for the arch as well as the ankle, yet not too high.

I bought these a size larger than my usual to accommodate my custom orthotics, and the removable insole allowed that to work smoothly. I'm still playing around with how tightly to tie the laces so that they don't start rubbing too roughly on the top of my foot, but overall, these shoes have proven rugged and waterproof and low profile, which is what I was after.

I really want to love these, but the left heel rubs no matter how tightly I tie it and the right upper digs into my foot no matter how loosely I tie it. I tried a different size on in a sporting goods store in hopes that I had the wrong size or a defective pair, but, alas, I still had the same problems.

I have the summer version of this shoe. It stood up to hard city and country walking. It fits the foot very nicely, but it does have a less cushion-y footbed. this winter version seems to offer the same qualities--a harder footbed, stiffer and sturdy.

Very lightweight and low cut. These rubbed on the side of one of my feet but not sure it was the shoe's fault. Not great support but I knew what to expect.

I usually wear an 8.5, but my toes were touching the end of both shoes. You might consider ordering up.

Disappointed it didn't fit as well as my other Merrell shoe size 9. This shoe was too short in the length for me. Hits a little high on top of the foot near ankle as well.

I really like these. I'm on my feet constantly for work, plus I have a boxer pup who needs a lot of exercise. My legs don't get tired and my feet don't burn after a long hard day. I'm even going to buy another pair, bit I bought these at the beginning of June and it's now early August and I'm really surprised how much the Vibram sole has worn down. Even though I'm on my feet all day, every day, it seems rather premature. Also, buy a 1/2 size larger than you ordinarily wear! Oh, and the Gore-Tex rocks! These are very waterproof and thank goodness for that because I've accidentally dumped slimy dog park community bowl water on my feet a number of times.

I never had shoes or clothes with Gore-Tex materials before, but living in the Pacific Northwest having a pair of waterproof shoes are needed. It was a toss up between the Gore-Tex or the regular waterproof, and I even called Merrell to ask what the difference would be and which would be the best fit. I was told that both are equal but perhaps (just maybe) Gore-Tex version kept you a smidge cooler when temps rose. So I purchased the Gore-Tex, and got them a half size bigger. Once they arrived, I promptly put them on with the socks that I normally wear (pretty short and thin), and they were perfect! My toes weren't squished and there weren't a lot of space to make my feet loose. I also had purchased the regular Siren Sports, and these are definitely much more padded which accounts for getting a half size up. I have both the brown/red (which is much darker in person) and the gray/light blue. They are both very comfy, but I have yet to wear them outside. I have walked on hardwood floor, carpet, and tile...and not only did the vibram soles definitely did stick! My only negative about this shoe is that there is a slight plastic crinkling sound. I'm thinking that it's the Gore-Tex as the waterproof version doesn't make the same sound. It's a bit annoying as it happens when I wiggle my toes, take off/on the shoes, and with each step. Merrell told me they weren't sure what I was talking about (which is funny as once you pick up the shoe, you can hear it on the mesh portions), but said that it would probably go away once the shoes are worn more...hmmm. There hasn't been any real rainfall since I purchased these shoes, but the weather forecast is showing some light rain in the next day or so...so perhaps I will be able to test out the Gore-Tex. When I brought up some concerns with the same complaints with all of the variety of Siren Sports (peeling/separation of the rubber in the front of the shoe, plastic lace holes on top of the shoe popping off, leaking water into the shoe, etc.), Merrell assured me that those are fairly uncommon and would be considered manufacturers defect which they would handle. They also did recommend that after much wear, I should purchase some Nikwax (they endorse to use on all of their shoes) to extend and protect the waterproof Gore-Tex material. These are my first pairs of Merrells (got a ton of recommendations on these shoes for travel), so while they aren't as pillowy cushioned as my other shoes, they seem to be good.
