I live in Toronto (where it can get very cold in the winter) and I have worn these shoes EVERY day all year round for over 3 years. They need a bit of a cleaning from time to time but overall, they are nearly indestructible (I have even walked in wet concrete up to the midline with them, simply wiping it off after it dried). I sail a lot and find them warmer than deck shoes and non-marking on the deck of my boat. I rarely wear them with socks because I find them to be bit on the warm side and I am prone to Athlete's foot if I don't let my feet breathe. I can stand for hours in these shoes, whereas I can only stand for a few minutes in my bare feet before my back starts to get sore. In my mind, they are the perfect shoe and can easily pass as either casual or semi-dressy (if you choose to shine them up a bit).

I loved my old shoes, that must be 5-10 years old. I ordered a replacement pair but they are slightly shorter, more upright and less relaxed...

I have been a loyal and satisfied customer of your Encore Gust J66173 slip on clogs for nearly 15 years. I am disappointed in my most recent purchase. I have always ordered size 10.5 med. width and have been exceedingly satisfied with the snug and comfortable fit. The most recent pair do not fit the same way as they always have. They are too wide and the fit is sloppy. Your product's consistency has always made them worth the price, but I felt the need to let you know the quality of your product this year is a great disappointment.

The pair of shoes I received do not look like the pair in your photos, the front on the size 11--- I got are wider and round looking. I prefer a pointier shoe, like the mossy oak slip on you sell.

I think that with the passage of time Merrell has slowly sacrificed quality for cost savings. It's a shame. These shoes used to last a lot longer than they now do, and they are not as comfortable as they once used to be. The Encore Groove, inexplicably, has been discontinued and "replaced" with the Encore Gust. I just bought a Gust, and it is just not that comfortable. I am sorry to say it's time to move on to another brand.

I ordered these shoes in the hopes that they would fit me. However, since Merrell does not offer them in a narrow width, they are too big and will have to be returned. I don't understand companies that offer wide sizes, but not narrow ones. I guess it's a side effect of the obesity epidemic in the USA. I'm cursed with narrow feet, and for now cannot be cool in my Merrell shoes, because they fell off back there somewhere and I'm walking on air. ;-)

Was looking for new Merrell slippers and my wife got me these because she couldn't find the original slipper. These are great but they don't have the warm fuzzy inside that I loved about my old ones. I hope Merrell brings back a sturdy slipper that can go outside but you don't need socks. That's the only reason for the three stars. Sizing was accurate. Received them when I should have. Very happy with transaction

I work in a fast paced healthcare environment. 16 hours of being constantly on the go is the norm. These shoes fit great and are extremely comfortable. That said, it has been one month and the sole has now started separating from the shoe. The sole is basically glued together layers of rubber. The glue is not holding. i am now looking for a replacement. Beware this has not been the first issue I have had with Merrels separating at the sole. I can no longer confidently recommend Merrels.

I had not noticed that the back heel portion is low and subsequently the product was returned.

I have to say that I love this shoe based on comfort and looks alone but they fall short on durability and grip. As a chef I am regularly on my feet for 12+ hours a day and never have any discomfort when wearing these. I had the Encore Groove before these and loved them for the same reasons but unfortunately they suffer from the same downfalls. While the soles usually have great traction they are like ice skates on smooth wet surfaces like tile. I have slipped and fallen a couple of times when in a hurry. The soles also wear out quite quickly. I know I am tough on shoes but mine are bald and are less than a year old. Not recommended as a working shoe but they are a great walking around town shoe.
