These sneakers are great. Once I got the sizing right, they are very comfortable. I had to buy a size wider and a 1/2 size longer than normal. They are still relatively new, so I cannot yet comment on how quickly and how well they wear. They are also a little pricey relative the other options out there. So far, happy with the purchase.

I'd say a very good shoe, though I should have ordered a half size larger then my usual size. Definitely has helped me out with aches and pains after I upgraded to this shoe from a middle of the road store bought one.

I've owned 2 pair of the Beasts, and one pair I loved, the other was still good, but not quite as good. I walk to and from work most days, and I live about a mile away. Walking a mile to work, standing on my feet for 7-10 hours, then walking a mile home is unpleasant. Needless to say, my feet hurt. I could barely move when I got home. I also have very bad feet. Genetics have never been on my side. So, I figured I'd start buying better (more expensive) shoes and socks. No more mediocre Walmart brands or Shoes for Crews. I've tried the New Balance 993 (4 pair), and then 2 pair of the Brooks Beasts in the last 3 years. The first pair of Beasts I had were slightly uncomfortable at first, but after a month, they were either just as comfortable as my 993's or more so. The second pair I thought would be the same way. However, after about 5 months, they're still not as good as my other pair. Plus they're tearing up quicker. I like the new style of the Beasts, but the Anthracite/silver pair (Older style) were much more comfortable than the Deep royal/silver pair (Newer style). I am shopping for a new pair of shoes as of the moment of writing this review. Usually, I like to pick a shoe I like and stick with it until it becomes obsolete, but I think I'm going to try and find something else. I may come back to the Beasts when the next generation comes out.

Comfortable shoe, however, this is an extremely heavy shoe. With that being said, I found a more comfortable run in these than the NB 1080 I replaced them with. Overall, they seem like a very well constructed shoe built to last.

I bought 11.5 Wide. Pros: Fit nice, good stability for overweight person like me trying to get back into shape, Got one year use out of it, before it started to fall apart and needed replacing. Cons: Heavy, designed for extreme over-pronation, My left shoe was slightly defective and started to occasionally squeak and the tread started to peel off, but held together for a year.

I bought this shoe specifically for the large toe box. I have issues with neuropathy in my toes. This shoe does have a larger toe box which provides some comfort for my feet. I use these shoes for daily wear. I still use my Kayanos for running. These Beasts are very stable and comfortable, but too heavy for running. Definitely recommended for a comfortable daily wear shoe.

I really like these shoes. They are very comfortable, supportive and fit snug but well [I am a 10.5 E ]. The one thing I think they lack is a pull on back tab to aid getting the shoes on. My last pair of Brooks Walkers lasted a year [500 miles] I hope these do better but we'll see. Overall quality is very good. I think they are too expensive but if they last a couple of years I'll be happy. I love the way they look too!

Very stable, but noticeably heavier than the Adenaline I'm used to. Probably too much shoe unless you really are heavily over pronating. I used Brooks shoe selector tool to choose it but am going back to the Adrenaline 12.

I am a stout fellow (6' + 270 lbs) who is not a runner, but I work in a warehouse and I'm on my feet for 10 hours a night, often walking several miles. I've always had wide feet and the advice I got from my runner wife is that I needed a stability shoe. The Beasts fit the bill for that and comfort as well. My only beef, and it goes out to all athletic shoe manufacturers, is that they cost so dang much and, without even running in them, they wear out in 8-10 months (a new pair of expensive insoles at the 5-6 month mark will extend them to that length of time, for me anyway). I'll keep buying them though, because if there are two important things for your body where you get what you pay for it's shoes and mattresses...

This is an excellent shoe. I would highly recommend the Brooks Beast running shoe for runners with arch problems or foot and ankle pain. It provides excellent support, stability, and cushioning.

Wasn't sure about these when ordering but am pleased after a few times worn. Very comfortable with a gel in the sole for cushioning. Style is modern but subtle enough for someone who prefers classic look. Might give them 5 stars in a few months but need more time in them to decide.

I just bought the Brooks "Beast" along with the NB M990 and highly recommend either shoe for those who have rough cases of plantar fasciitis. I've tried many shoes recently from Zappos and these are the two I found that provided the least amount of discomfort which is a big deal for me right now. The NB 990's in black (came with black laces) are pretty good looking too, the Beast, on the other hand, looks like its name, sort of big and ugly, but does provide slightly more relief for more my condition. I gave the Beast one less overall star, for style, otherwise, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Very comfortable. Marked to be for moderate-to-severe overpronators, but it's more appropriate for mild-to-moderate.

This is at least my 3rd pair of the Brooks Beast, and the first of this redesign. I was not a fan of the new color schemes, but figured it would at least be functionally equivalent. Either my foot is getting wider in my late-twenties or 13 EE isn't what it used to be. The support only lasts about 6 months with occasional jogging, but you can get another 6 months out of them for walking, gardening or yard work thereafter.

I bought a pair for everyday office work. Width 4E. I have severe pronation, bunions, and hallux rigidus. I wear orthotics. Shoe is pretty good. I also bought New Balance 1123. The NB has a little better fit and comfort. I alternate between the 2.

I have been buying Brooks now for several years. I stopped buying them with their last model, as they were too narrow. This model however was perfect in width. Be advised, however, that they do run 1/2 a size small. So, buy a 1/2 size bigger and they will be the correct fit. Also, I have very flat feet. These shoes are the best for people who severely over-pronate.

I am very happy with the product and the shipping was excellent. Unfortunately I saw the same shoes on Amazon for a lower price but oh well sometimes that's how it goes, my fault for not looking more thoroughly.

Great running shoe. Has excellent cushion in heel. Not good in wet weather or after rain as if you run on non-paved roads or on the shoulder the shoe collects mud and or wet dirt in the gap of the heel sole, which creates additional weight and the material does not tread out while running.

While I love Brooks shoes and will not wear any other brand, the Ghost 5 is still my favorite shoe because it fits me the best. The new Beast is just not as comfortable for me.

Really great shoe for those who need a lot of padding and lot of control. However, this iteration is hilariously narrow, even the 4E width. I have worn other Brooks shoes in the past and have only needed the 2E width, so they really screwed up the width of this shoe. Too bad. If you actually need the full 4E width, avoid this version of the Beast.

I'm a severe overpronater and usually where the Brooks Addiction 10. I wanted to try these for extra support but they just felt too big, too bulky and the inside felt much harder than the Addiction 10s I've come to love. I'm sure these are great for a lot of people, as they seemed to have a lot of shock absorption but for me, they were too much.

I tried these shoes but returned them. I have a more narrow foot. The Brooks Beast seems to be more for people with wider feet. I liked the cushioning that these shoes provided but they were just too wide for my foot. I returned these and bought the Brooks Addiction, which comes in a narrow width.

These shoes suck, after a month or so of limited use, the black grip material on the bottom of the sneaker starter to peel off. Never buy these!

Do not even go near these shoes if you are not an over pronator. I am a neutral to mild pronator and they made my feet hurt! They are well built, stylish, but know exactly what you are getting into when you order.

Radically supinate my foot. I pronate some, these shoes over correct too much. Not comfortable for everyday wear. Returned to Zappos.
