Definitely impressed with Zappos shipping and service. Gave free upgraded shipping -- ordered late Monday night and received sneakers Wednesday morning. Awesome! Sneakers are extremely comfortable and fit well. I have extra wide feet and normally wear 6E but these sneakers are good at 4E. Will definitely recommend Zappos!

Brooks Chariots were my very first running shoe in 1978 and the company has never let me down. For a 200 lb. runner these provided the best stability and support. I highly recommend them.

Great shoe for me, as I walk on concrete a lot. The thickness of sole is nice for this kind of walking, I am in my late 70's and enjoy a fast pace walk of 7 to 10 miles.

The only shoe I've worn for 5 years. No other has the toe box room and support and comfort. I love Zappos' service!

Love these shoes! I wear extra-wide running shoes, and most retailers don't keep them in stock. This is why I always check with Zappos first, and if they have what I am looking for I order them knowing I am buying at the lowest price. Not only are Zappos' prices the lowest, but their shipping is fast and free both ways. I have always been extremely happy with Zappos.

I'm now on my fourth pair of Brooks Beasts. I have severely flat feet (overpronate), and these are the best motion control shoes that I have ever owned, in terms of reducing feet, knee, and lower back pain. They are great for running, of course, but I also find them excellent for walking or standing. Be careful with sizing, though; I normally wear 10 1/2 or 11, but I had to go to 11 1/2 to get a good fit with these shoes - and that size differential has been consistent now through at least the last three models of the Beast. They are well-ventilated and cool for running, but they can be a bit chilly if worn around the house in cooler weather. They also feel a bit heavier than other running shoes, although it's definitely worth it for the additional motion control.

I've been a fan of Brooks for two years, ever since I had to go in search of athletic shoes that offered more support for my feet (and legs and back). The Beast is the best I have encountered, so far, for over-pronators like myself. Worth every penny! (Zappos return policy made this easy as I was very concerned about not getting the shoes I needed but their returns are so seamless, I knew it'd be fine either way).

My orthopedic and foot doctors recommended this shoe for those with flat feet. With arch support, my limp is gone. I have been using Brooks Beast for 4 or 5 years, and would never change.

Great shoe. I used to wear the Brooks Addictions, so I was already a Brooks fan. A very supportive shoe - and although it's more expensive than the Addiction, I think it's worth it.

These Brooks are about twice as expensive as the other brand I usually buy that sells a lot of size 15 4E. That being said they are also twice as comfortable with great arch support. It was difficult to pull the trigger and buy these because of the price difference but I'm so glad I did and shouldn't have waited so long to try them.

A tale of two shoes. Most importantly, they are terrifically comfortable. I got them in a 4E width, and they felt great right out of the box. The problem comes with the color. The site lists them as, and the pictures show also, a black, gray, and white shoe. Unfortunately, there is no white on these shoes. Everything in the pictures that look white is actually a dark silver and everything that looks dark gray is actually an even darker gray. This gives the shoe an overall bland and drab appearance. What could have been an amazing shoe is only a good shoe because of the difference in looks. That being said, if this is of little concern, then get a pair and have comfy feet.

I've been searching for shoes for over-pronation and I think I finally found them! They are incredibly comfortable and the support is outstanding; my feet no longer fall asleep when I run, and it feels like my walking posture has improved. I do wish Brooks would come out with different color schemes and styles, though.

This is an excellent shoe for over pronators. I'm a heavy runner (6'3 at 230 lbs.) and have a fairly serious pronation issue that, absent the right shoes, causes knee soreness and fluid build-up. With these shoes, I run pain free and no longer require a sleeve for my knee. Great shoes.

This is the only walking shoe that my father will wear. It is extra wide and very comfortable. My dad is 82 years old and walks at least 3 miles a day. This website is where we get these shoes for him and have ordered here at least twice now. Excellent service and great product.

I'm a senior, 160 lb., pronating runner. I run 5 days a week, in the 35-40 mpwk. category. I run 5k, 10k, 1/2 and full marathons. I rotate shoes daily. I just received my "Brooks Beasts" pair "V". Although the Beasts are a bit heavy and feel somewhat stiff at first, I find the fit and feel to be consistent year to year. They feel good right out of the box. I value this feature very much! I rotate shoes daily. "III" did not wear well and the heels wore down to the foam quickly. "II" and "IV" have worn extremely well. Recommended by a Podiatrist to help with a recurring knee problem, they have worked very well for me. When I've tried other motion-control or stability shoes, the pesky knee seems to return. I do go to lighter weight, shoes for the running events.

This is quite simply, the perfect shoe for the over pronator. I've been running in the Brooks Beast for over 20 years (on road, trails, sand, snow, etc.) and there's nothing that even compares to it. If you've never tried a pair before and your an over pronator, give them a try. You won't be sorry.

I really like these shoes and will be staying with them in the future. They have eliminated the knee and ankle problems I was having with other types. They fit great (I found that they ran a little snug in width for me so I got 2E in my normal 10 size). They feel much more like extensions of my feet than my other shoes. Very well made and good looking.

These are great shoes! Buy a pair every year for my dad; he has wide feet and these are the only shoes that don't hurt or he doesn't need to break in.

Zappos.com rocks! I've had 5 pairs of the Brooks Beast over the past couple of years and they are fantastic. I've got a long narrow foot and I am a pronator. Best stability shoe I've ever had on my foot.

Great shoe, very supportive - maybe could use a bit more arch support. It is a bit heavy, but as a heavier runner it helps support my large frame.

I am 6'1-1/2", 260; gained a lot of weight due to planter fasciitis and could not run any more. Tried lots of orthotics - Walkfit definitely the best; but finding shoes that worked well with them was hard, and still could not run in them. I discovered Beasts three years ago - the first shoe in over 10 years I could wear without an orthotic and not be in agony at the end of the day. They work very well at stabilizing the heel and limiting pronation, while supporting the arch just right. A key aspect is that they do not elevate the heel above the balls of your feet, allowing the foot to strike flat and almost toes-first. This allows me to use my calf muscles and just works so much better. Anyway, mechanically the shoe works. Problem is that it is made cheap, falls apart, and last only about 5 months of daily use (wear to work, walk about 3 miles a day). It should be about $80. Its simply over-priced for the quality. I use my old ones to mow and do work around the house. But, I have a lot of old ones because I have to buy them almost 3 times a year.
