I have worn a slightly different style for years in size 9. This pair is about 1/2 size bigger than I am used to. I'm not sure about the toe box being high enough for my comfort until I try the correct size.

I like Keen so I say they are wonderful. I read the other customer reviews, then decided to order 7.5 on a "true to size" and "felt a half size larger"; well...not true, I wear a 8 in Venice, and a 8.5 in Sula. Now I know I m an 8 in Toyahs! If you are a 7.5 like me in other shoes, order a half size up. Great shoes for work, travel and fun.

Much uglier than the Keen Paradise shoes I tried first. However, I was buying these for travel so comfort and a sole with excellent traction were the top criteria. I've been wearing these for a week now to make sure there aren't any hidden issues when I take them overseas. They are indeed very plushy and the arch support is great. The strap on the side where it is sewn in rubs a bit as does the top of the vamp, but since I plan on wearing these mostly with socks it's okay. Also, I'm so happy with the traction on these! My feet are a 5.5 Wide and the 5.5 Medium here fit me perfectly, with enough room for my toes. That says to me, though, that if you have narrow feet your usual size may be too roomy.

I bought these for travel. Three weeks into the trip the elastic strap was frayed to the point of breaking on one shoe and half way frayed on the other. Keen used to be a favorite and I was loyal. The last two pairs that I purchased were garbage. I will never buy Keens again.

These are my 2nd pair of the Keen Toyah MJ. I liked the first pair so well that I had to buy them in another color. I have knee and ankle problems and these shoes take the pain away. The support is great and I like the room in the toebox.

As always Zappos customer service and shipping was great. I normally wear an 8.5/9. I have Keen sandals in a 9, but decided after reading other reviews that I should order an 8.5 and 9. Upon receiving, I discovered that both were too big. I returned them for an 8 and found that they fit much better. Believe the reviews that say they run about 1/2 size too big. I'm planning to wear these on my trip to Europe as they will work great with jeans, capris or khakis.

Just got these and love them. Super cute without being clunky like some rugged shoes, and comfortable for long walks around the city or country. I know enough from previous Keen shoes that they typically run large. I normally wear 8.5 but ordered an 8 and they're still a little big but I'm keeping them. Next time I might even try a full size down from my normal 8.5. Also, I have wide feet and Keens are perfect for me. For those with narrow feet I imagine these would be a bit floppy around the front foot. I'm tempted to get these in another color.... And always, great service from Zappos! Don't know how you guys do it, I'm ever impressed. Thanks!

Very pleased, as usual, with my Keen purchase. I have several of the Keen Mary Jane styles in a variety of colors, but did not have a black. These do the trick. Usual ample room in the toe box and sneaker-like feeling. The edge on top hits me in just the right place instead of cutting into my "bunion area." These are cute enough to wear almost anywhere -- I would draw the line at a cocktail party or wedding. Bravo, once again, Zappos.

I love Keen shoes, and started looking in their selection when I needed a new set of dependable shoes for my 10 hours, on my feet, work days. These shoes are the color of tire rubber, and matte finish. My black work pants are more black, but they still look okay. I have big, moderately wide feet and refuse to wear uncomfortable shoes, and these fit the bill nicely. I wear size 11m, and these feel a little wide and long compared to the same size in other company's shoes, but when closely compared to my Keen sandals, the the footbeds are exactly the same, so I think it might be that I expected a different fit between sport sandals and work shoes. So, I'm keeping them.

I bought these same shoes last year in brown. I wanted them for a trip to Italy where I could have a comfortable all day shoe that could be worn with a skirt, shorts or long pants. They were excellent! I then decided to get the solid black pair this year for another trip. Although I ordered the same size, these shoes felt slightly bigger. Unlike my first pair that I could wear with a sock or a ped, this pair needed a heavier sock to feel just right. Is this a great shoe? Yes, but I would suggest purchasing two pair to compare fit.

Great shoes! I normally wear size 9 Keens; had to go with 8 1/2 on these. They are a little hefty for a summer shoe, but I work around ceramic kilns so they are great for toe protection. Keen made a shoe similar to this a couple years ago with no heal (the were awesome!) and this was the closest replacement I could find.

Love these shoes, but the 7.5 (my regular size) only fits with really thick socks and the 7 is too short. I wish Keen would be consistent with their sizing.

This is a great shoe. I have narrow feet,that are "low volume" with high arches and my second toe is longer than the rest and back problems, so believe me, it is not easy to find a fit! These support my arches, accommodate the toe, and with a superfeet insert, they are perfect. The size 8, my usual size, was just right. They aren't exactly "narrow", but something about the footbed seems to accommodate my foot. Highly recommended!

I love these shoes. They fit great and are wonderful to walk long distances in. What was disappointing was that the foot strap broke after 6 months of wear. I have to applaud Zappos for their return service. They gave me a full refund for my shoes even after 5 months. I love Zappos!

I was diagnosed with Morton's neuroma and needed to find a shoe with a wide toe box. These did the trick. They are comfortable and cute, if a bit clunky. I am very happy with them.

I just returned from a 15 day trip to four countries in Europe and wore these shoes all day, almost every day. They were perfect for 80* to 50* days - even during the cold and wind. The only issue I had with them was that, for the first week of my trip they rubbed my heels and the side of my foot while climbing stairs. I hadn't really broken them in before I left, though, so this was understandable. All in all, they were fantastic, just like my Keens always are!

The Toyah is great. My feet to not ache after walking and standing on them for hours. I got he Madder Brown size 9 and they fit perfect. I am a usually a size 9.

I first bought a pair of Keen Toyah MJs in the brown. Loved them but found that I wear more black clothing, so ordered the Toyah in black. I now wear these every almost day, both with and without socks. I have now ordered another pair in both the black as well as the bluestone color. Can hardly wait! I have wide feet and Keen shoes are among the few brands that I can wear without having to find a wide width. BTW, these are great shoes to slip on/off at airport security.

This is my 3rd Keen Mary Jane Style. I plan on wearing this shoe on my trip to Europe this fall, as my alternate shoe. It will be excellent for walking and also look fine with a skirt. It does run about a 1/2 size too big for me, but I put a foam inner sole under the footbed and it solved the problem.

In the store, these were the only pair of shoes that felt comfortable instantly, probably because I have such a wide foot. I normally wear a 7 or 37-37.5 depending on the brand. These were a 37 with a US comparable of 6.5. They still felt a little big, but the 1/2 smaller was too tight. What I initially loved about this shoe was that my wide feet did not feel compressed and strap/crivet/etc rubbed funny; this is an ongoing problem for me. After I purchased these, I still wasn't quite sure of them because they still felt a little big. A little big all over, but especially in the width (something I've never experienced before.) I tested them out for short periods (with and without socks) indoors for the last few days and I am sad to say they will have to go back. Today I wore them with out socks and I could tell immediately that they were going to rub in many areas. My feet felt like they were swimming in them. I'm sad because a.) I really wanted them to work and b.) I really really need a good pair of long term walking shoes for my overseas travel. I do have to say I love the extra toe bumper. Not only do I have a bad habit of knocking my toes around, but my toes must be arched funny because the big toes wear holes in shoes easily. Could tell that it would not happen with these. Hopefully I'll find something else when I return them today. I'll def look at some other Keen's.

I have bad bunions, but I had good luck with a previous pair of Keens, once they were broken in. These, however, I have found are impossible to break in. They're too loose in the heels and too tight in the toes, nothing at all like my previous pair. I would be hesitant to ever buy another pair of Keens.

I love these shoes and thanks to Zappos now own them in Green, Blue, Grey and Brown (dark earth). They not only feel great, but never needed any breaking in. I can stay on them for 18 hours at a time and never feel foot fatigue. In addition to this, they are waterproof, which is great not only when it rains, but if I have to cross a wet lawn. The shoes show no signs of having encountered droplets of water. They're so comfortable and supportive I have completely stopped wearing my running shoes for long weekend walks, preferring these instead. Buy these while Keen still makes mary janes with full support and sturdiness. The newer styles (cloth exterior with flat, thin rubbery soles) cannot compare and will not hold up nearly as long.

I was so excited to get this shoe because I loved the style; however, I am having to send it back. I am a size 10, and really should have ordered a 10.5. Also, these shoes are too wide for my foot. I do wear a medium in width, and that is what these say they were, but they were about 1/2" wider than my foot. Now I am going to go with the Keen Owyhee. The plus side to the whole experience is shopping with Zappos. They make the return process so easy, and I can have my new pair within the same week. Thank you Zappos!

I have "problem" feet and for me, these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I am a huge Keen fan, but some of their styles just don't work for me. I wore these shoes every day for 10 days in Italy this month where I walked all day long. My feet were very happy. I own 2 pairs in black and might consider getting a 3rd pair in another color.

Great shoe! I put in my custom orthotics and wore it all winter. I have the black and orded an 8.5. It was true to size. Very well made and worth the money!
