Keens used to fit me perfectly every time. Now it is a real guessing game. Overall I like this shoe but it does have a few problems. Overall this shoe in my regular "Keen" size is very roomy like other have noted. Oddly though it is fairly snug at the top of toe box. The width is roomy but the toe box has a lower profile that presses on the top of my toes and foot. It is not terrible but the height of the Keen toe box used to be what I liked about their shoes. Also, the heel cup is quite deep. The back of the shoe comes up quite high on the back of my heel which causes discomfort. This is the second Keen style I've purchased with this extra deep heel/high back. I am going to try and find some kind of heel cushion or pad to lift my heel clear of the back edge. A full length cushioned insole would make the toe box too snug. The arch support is better than some shoes but not as good or comfortable as their Calistoga style used to be.

Very bulky look. Not the little ballerina look I wanted for skinny pants or leggings. I think my running shoes look better. If you love mary jane athletic shoes and you don't mind a big looking shoe, it is worth trying for comfort. Runs maybe a half size big. Has removable sole for orthotics.

In the store, these were the only pair of shoes that felt comfortable instantly, probably because I have such a wide foot. I normally wear a 7 or 37-37.5 depending on the brand. These were a 37 with a US comparable of 6.5. They still felt a little big, but the 1/2 smaller was too tight. What I initially loved about this shoe was that my wide feet did not feel compressed and strap/crivet/etc rubbed funny; this is an ongoing problem for me. After I purchased these, I still wasn't quite sure of them because they still felt a little big. A little big all over, but especially in the width (something I've never experienced before.) I tested them out for short periods (with and without socks) indoors for the last few days and I am sad to say they will have to go back. Today I wore them with out socks and I could tell immediately that they were going to rub in many areas. My feet felt like they were swimming in them. I'm sad because a.) I really wanted them to work and b.) I really really need a good pair of long term walking shoes for my overseas travel. I do have to say I love the extra toe bumper. Not only do I have a bad habit of knocking my toes around, but my toes must be arched funny because the big toes wear holes in shoes easily. Could tell that it would not happen with these. Hopefully I'll find something else when I return them today. I'll def look at some other Keen's.

I have bad bunions, but I had good luck with a previous pair of Keens, once they were broken in. These, however, I have found are impossible to break in. They're too loose in the heels and too tight in the toes, nothing at all like my previous pair. I would be hesitant to ever buy another pair of Keens.

I was so excited to get this shoe because I loved the style; however, I am having to send it back. I am a size 10, and really should have ordered a 10.5. Also, these shoes are too wide for my foot. I do wear a medium in width, and that is what these say they were, but they were about 1/2" wider than my foot. Now I am going to go with the Keen Owyhee. The plus side to the whole experience is shopping with Zappos. They make the return process so easy, and I can have my new pair within the same week. Thank you Zappos!

I wear a size 7 and have slightly wider feet. These shoes were huge. I just checked to make sure they were a 7 and that's what they say. The way the fit they could have been an 8 or 9.

A no-go for me as an orthotic wearer. Too big with insoles removed; heels slip with insoles and orthotics together. Also, unless you are a pretzel, it is very difficult to buckle these shoes - the buckle is way over to the side and the strap does not thread easily through it. And, in general, Keen shoes seem to be just a tiny bit short - toes rub up against the shoe.

I got the Gargoyle color, but it looks more like grey. The strap on left shoe rubbed back of my foot so hard when I walk causing skin burning, pain. So I have to return.

The color and style of this shoe is great. However, the sizing is off. The 9 is both too wide and too long, while the 8 1/2 is too short. Do they come in an 8 3/4? LOL.

This particular shoe did not "fit like a glove," that my prior experience with Keen shoes has been; they flopped around on my feet, including the heel, even though I was wearing the same thin hosiery that I usually wear with my other Keen shoes, and the same size, 8 Medium. The style was the same, also, a Mary Jane type shoe I was planning to wear as a work shoe, due to foot problems.

I have three pairs of Keens in my closet from years ago. I love them because they last forever and fit true to size. I don't know what has happened at Keen. This year I have made several attempts to order various styles of Keen shoes and the sizing is inconsistent. If the shoe fits in length, the toe box is too small. If the shoe is too long, the toe box is just right. I'm sad to say that I cannot order Keen online anymore.

The sole felt too heavy for me and pulled down at the heel. I have another pair of Keens, but I guess they are lighter because they fit perfectly from day 1.

This Keen shoe did not fit well all; it was way too wide and my foot slid to the side of the shoe. Do not know how Keen is sizing their shoes these days, but cannot find one that fits the same as other Keen shoes. So I am returning for complete credit.

I was hopeful about these shoes, but they ended up feeling extremely stiff, clunky, and felt a half size to a full size too big for me. I ended up returning these.

I'm sure they would be comfortable if they were smaller. I have a pair of the Keen "water shoes" that are a size 8. I normally wear a size 7.5. I ordered a 7 in these and they are way big.

The color was not brown at all, the toe box is too short, and the heel slips. Not comfortable at all, and not what I expected

The Keen Mary Jane style backless clog I loved is no longer made, so I tired these instead, but have returned. These are not the same quality shoes that I was accustomed to. Why do they have to stop making first the styles I enjoy, and then secondly, why has the quality declined so. I owe several other Keen models, and hope they will last a long time.

What an enormous shoe! I've been happy with my previous Keens but these are far too long, far too wide, far too hefty, and the sides under the strap are sharp as a bread knife.

These shoes are amazing! Super comfortable and they are cute too. I have quite wide feet and they fit me just right. I ordered my normal size with no issues. So if you have narrow feet these may not be the shoes for you.

These shoes are so comfortable that I'm tempted to wear them around the house instead of slippers. They have a sturdy sole with good arch support and grip. I usually wear a size 8, and the size 8 fit perfectly. They'll be good walking shoes, and I'm glad I bought them.

These are my favorite shoes. I bought them to walk around in San Francisco last year, and there was absolutely no break in required, with or without socks, they are comfortable sturdy and great for everyday wear. I am hoping to get them in this blue, I have brown. Please, Keen, do not change anything about these shoes!

Great shoes. Very comfortable. Good arch support. Can wear them all day. Run a half-size small. The only downside is that they're beginning to make my feet smell when I don't wear socks.

I have now worn this much yet, but so far it has felt very comfortable. I like that it's water proof, as I bought it for a trip to Scotland in August. The Mary Jane style is not something I love on any shoe, but because of my very narrow heel, it's imperative that I have something to hold it on, hence the strap. I think it should be quite comfortable on our walking days - and will keep my feet dry.

I have tried the 9, the 8.5 and the 8 and neither of them fit. I have never had this problem before. Hopefully this is not the way your sizing is going. Very frustrating. I love Keens. Thank goodness for Zappos and their free shipping. I tell everyone how wonderful your service is.

I have hallux limitus (arthritic big toe) and I go from pair to pair of shoes hoping for a relief from pain. Danskos: I roll my ankles in them. Birkenstocks: too long to break in. Merrells and Born: the sole is too flexible. MBT: too expensive and too ugly. Earth: too ugly. I am also a young person and a very active walker (I live in NYC) and walk between 10 and 20 miles a week. I just got these shoes but I can already tell they are a godsend. Just walked a mile with very little pain and a bounce in my step. I need something that I can wear to work and also walk for miles in (I'm a librarian). I don't want to wear hiking boots (my only other comfortable alternative) everywhere! These do the trick. The only issue I have is that I wish they came in black or brown. These metallic colors are a little silly.
