Totally thought the boot looked awesome, 'til I took my size 11 boot out of the box and put it on. Not a flattering boot for those of us with big feet. Just a little too masculine that large. Oh well, am returning them but thanks to Zappos I will continue my search!

This is it! The boot. I live in Wisconsin where the air gets cold and we get a lot of snow for many months. I've been looking for a cute boot that's also cozy. This is fab! I need something to wear for daily walks with my dog in sub-zero temps and for shoveling for a few hours in 20-30 Fahrenheit temperatures. Perfect. It's so warm. I'm not a fan of wearing bulky socks, and it's good to have a "glove" fit that's not too tight. I usually am a 9-9.5 but have wide feet so I originally chose a 10 and it was an inch too big. The 9's fit perfect, and for my wide feet they are not too tight. I can wear one pair of thick socks, or just a Smart Wool sock and it's great in terms of fit either way. My calves are skinny (I'm 5'6" and 130 lbs.) and so the shaft of the boot is a bit loose but not to where it doesn't look good. I tried the North Face Jozie boot but it is just not warm enough to cut it. That boot would be good for walking on sidewalks on a night out where you're not really in the cold for long. Thank you!

Love these boots! Finally the first pair of tall boots that fit over my calf muscle when wearing leggings or jeans! I love how comfy and durable they are! Dress them up or down! I wear them 24/7! My husband thinks I am silly because every time I wear them I am in the best mood!

These boots are cute, comfy warm and dry! They are a little big, I wear a size 10 and I did step on someone's foot on the train the first day I wore them. Oops! But aside from that I adore them and they get lots of compliments!

I tried other Sorel styles but these are my favorite. I love the tall shaft and the gaiter look. I've worn them during the only snow storm we've had this winter and they are incredibly warm and comfortable. I usually wear a 7.5 or an 8 and I initially ordered an 8 but it made my feet look unnaturally gigantic. The 7 fits great and looks much better. Zappos service is awesome as ever.

I love these boots! I have very small calves which makes buying boots very hard because I look like a stick tree in a flower pot. These boots fit my calves but my daughter who has larger calves than me also looked great in these boots. Great purchase on my part!

I love these boots. They are very cute, warm, comfortable, waterproof, and nice and tall to keep the deep snow off your legs. Normally I'm a cheapskate, but I splurged on these boots and they were worth every penny. They are so sturdy and well-made that I look forward to wearing them for years to come. Other reviewers said the boots feel a bit loose around the ankle. I agree, but it's nice because you can wear the boots over thick socks if you want. I have also been able to tighten up the ankle by tightening the lower laces.

They fit perfectly, and look stylish...so far have only worn them around the house, can't wait to get out in the winter weather. There is no better boot than a Sorel in a NY winter!

I have a normal width foot and these boots are surprisingly too narrow. I normally wear a 9.5, so I ordered a 10. There is plenty of space in the toe area (a full inch) but too narrow in width and the sides of the boot press into my foot. This type of material will not stretch. I kept a pair of boots that were a bit snug width-wise once and I regretted it because they never stretched and I ended up calling it a loss and could not wear the boots anymore. The Cate The Great boots look very wide from the outside, but they are not. I also want to note that the photos online must be for a smaller boot. These do not look so cute in size 10 and my feet looked massive, like I was going on an Arctic expedition or something.

One of the two best purchases I have made on Zappos. I usually cheap out a bit with winter boots as I go more for style but, having a house in the mountains of Colorado now, I needed to bite the bullet. These shoes are great. I have been playing in a foot of snow every weekend and my feet are now the only parts of my body that stay warm and dry. I had to write a review to help others; they are very cute as well!

I love this boot! I've been looking for a brown, "different" boot for a few years. I'm a size 7.5. I ordered the 7 and 8 so I could decide. With normal socks on the 7 was snug and my toes hit the edge. To wear and 8 comfortably, I need to wear double socks - one being thicker. Yesterday I took my puppy out in the drifts and we had a blast. Ran to the grocery store in the blizzard and felt comfy and stylish. These are not inherently the warmest (like my thick wool lined Oscar boots) but I just have to adjust my warmth with my socks. And not everyone has them...great!

Love these boots! Every time I wear them, I get many compliments. I live in Alaska so the -25 degrees & the height of the boot is a must! Even when it wasn't cold, my feet didn't get too hot. They were perfect! They were a little big on me. I range from a 7.5-8.5 because I have wide feet. The boots are wide so I could have gotten away with a 7.5 and still have room for thick socks but they didn't have a 7.5 when I ordered and I needed them ASAP. Sorel is a great brand and the Cate the Great boot is fabulous!

I received these as a gift from my Fiance this past Christmas. He made an excellent choice in getting these boots for me. They are extremely warm and are serious when they say "slip proof." I would slip on rubber gripped flooring, given the opportunity. I am no longer terrified of ice. Not to mention, I get complements on them quite often. I would recommend these to everyone.

These are wonderful winter boots. I was looking for something waterproof that did not look like those tacky rubber galoshes (no offense! I have a pair of those too!). These were comfortable right out of the box, but it took a few wears for the boot shaft (with laces pulled tight) to break-in (with laces loose, no problem, although your heel does slide up). These are true to their word about keeping out freezing water, and they are very warm. So warm that I am sad that I cannot wear them on wet days if the temperature is over 30°. If your feet tend to get hot, you will likely have the same experience. But if you have cold-never-warm-up feet, you will be so well served in these. They are expensive, but worth it, I think, since I will be wearing them every season most likely. And they look very winter chic with skinnies/leggings.

I love these boots! They are warm and stylish. I had a pair of Sorel Tivoli's that were very comfortable, but not warm at all. These are heavier and more bulky, but for a Wisconsin winter, I opt for warmth over lightweight. Completely waterproof also. Very happy!

Amazing boots! I ordered my regular shoe size and they fit just fine. I was able to wear thick boot socks with them and was comfortable. Only downside is they are a bit heavy but once you have them on for a few minutes you get use to them. Super waterproof and very warm. Brought them to my vaca in Iceland and was happy I did.

Love they way they look and feel. I'm a size 7 and they are true to size for me - I have bunions (duck-shaped feet) and neck/back problems and these are great. Haven't worn them in snow yet, so can't speak to performance, but will write a review on that in the future.

Love, love this boot! I wear an 8 1/2... I ordered an 8 and the fit is fine, nice and roomy for a big, warm pair of socks! I have worn these boots out in the bitter cold, wet snow, etc... My feet are always warm and dry. These boots are great for running around on a cold winter day or after you finish skiing and just relaxing! I love these boots!

I love these boots! They are very comfortable. I wore them with a wool dress to work, and tucked in jeans for shopping. Love.

OMG! The boots are the bomb.com! I absolutely love them. They're comfortable, warm, and stylish. What more could you want in a winter boot?! I only wished it was colder this winter so I could wear them more. Seriously, I would live in these if we were having a typical Minnesota winter. Size runs true. I typically wear a 7.5 and I bought the 8. They do stretch a little. But I use an orthotic so the 8 has worked out nicely.

I love these boots - straight out of the box they were comfy - no need to break in! I'm so anti-Ugg and wanted to get a boot with multiple uses (not just for warmth and comfort). I used these in rain and snow and my feet were warm and toasty! If you have any reservations about these boots, try them - they won't let you down! They are a little wide, but I have skinny and narrow feet, plus I can put in my arch supports without having to size up.

Love these boots...only thing I don't love is the liner. The fur in the image is a brownish color...the actual liner fur is grayish (and looks kind of tacky) with no replacement liners offered through Sorel.

At 5'6" this boot comes up to the bottom of my knee, not uncomfortable to walk in though. And since it laces there will be no snow falling in an open top. Also the lacing helps keep the boot from moving around on my narrow heel. A good fit and an overall good look.
