I bought as a Christmas gift for daughter. She absolutely loves these boots and has worn them daily since the holidays ('til warm weather arrived). She's received tons of compliments on them. She loves the looks, the knee-high height, the fact they're warm and waterproof and that she can wear winter-weight socks with them. She wears size 7.5 shoe; I bought her size 8 boots for that reason. Great product and I would recommend for those living in snow-belt country.

These boots are incredibly cozy and warm and I receive compliments On the fashion/function of them wherever I go. I purchased one size small after trying them on in a store and even with smart wool heavy socks they for perfectly. After about 10 wears they mold/stretch to my foot a bit better.

Warm. Lighter than you might think. Crazy-comfortable. True to size. Good-looking. Yep, I think this checks off most of my boot-buying criteria! Love them.

The boots are very comfortable and well made, but appear bulkier than the pictures let on. They are definitely made for the cold and don't let water get through. The only reason I returned the boots was because they were a bit too large.

I've loved these boots since I saw them in a magazine months ago but Zappos was the only place I could find them. My husband bought them for me when I was 8-months pregnant so I wouldn't slip on the ice. They are so warm and comfortable! Half sizes would help them fit perfectly. A size 8 was too tight but with good socks the size 9 worked out great. Also lots of calf room for my legs when they got swollen, they were the only boots that I could get on in my last month of pregnancy!

This boot is totally worth the money and more! It's so unique and classy. Not to mention it s durable and waterproof. It s hard to find a cute, fully waterproof boot these days. The only thing that slightly disappointed me is that I usually buy boots in a half size larger than my usual size, but they seem to be a bit big so I would definitely stick to your actual shoe size when purchasing. Unfortunately, I wore them before I realized they were a bit big. :( Otherwise, great boots!

Super-great boots for anyone living in areas with a great deal of snow/sleet conditions. I'm in Portland, OR and sadly rarely get up on the mountain anymore, so these were a bit much for me. But they were a perfect fit, true to size at a size 7, and so comfortable. Should I ever move to a cooler, snowier climate, I'll be looking these up.

Confirmed Happiness: Boot fit like a glove, I have a size 8 narrow foot and was a little concerned with the width of the boot, but I planed a thin insole that helped, I was ecstatic wearing the boot all day and never once having cold feet, I'll even wear them around the house because they're warmer than my slippers, I've received a multitude of compliments on the boot and referred many people to Zappos to purchase it. The only downfall I would say is the weight of the boot. If I do a lot of walking in them, the weight of the boot can be a bit heavy. Otherwise, I would highly recommend it if you're in need of a boot with similar qualities.

I just had to drop everything and write this review for Cate the Great by Sorel. I love, love, love this boot. I purchased the gray one and the color is dark and rich. I am a 8 1/2 and ordered the size 8. It fits perfectly! I adore Zappos VIP service too! I don't know why anyone would shop anywhere else, quite frankly! Now if you could just send us some cold weather and lots of snow my life would be perfect!

These run a tiny bit big. I have a little slipping in the heel, but adding an insert does the trick. They look pretty cool overall.

I love these boots. They keep my toes nice and toasty, and manage to be cute at the same time. I can shovel a foot of snow off my car and arrive at a party looking cute. These make me happy!

These boots are amazing. I'm a true 7.5 and the 7 fits great - with room to spare for big comfy socks. The lacing makes them comfortable to wear with just leggings or you can even stuff a baggier pair of jeans in them. They are just awesome. So warm and so comfy - I could just sleep in them!

I think these boots are fantastic. They are super warm and fashionable. I get tons of compliments on them. As far a size: They will feel bigger and wider than marked but you have to think in terms of a snow shoe as they always run bigger like this and are not meant to be true to size. I am a solid women's 9, and I ordered a 9. The 8 was definitely too small. You need to have a little room for air in these, that is what makes them so warm.

I love these boots something fierce. I have one foot that is an 8 and another that is an 8.5 and I usually go up in whole sizes so I ordered the 9. It was too big and shredded my heel. I got the 8 and they are perfect. No need for heavy socks. Just enough room for skinny jeans. Most of all, though, I love them. People comment on them ALL THE TIME. My feet are never cold, even in the great white north. They aren't that comfortable for driving long distances (my commute is 90 minutes) but for running around town they are great. Always warm and dry.

I bought these for my wife. She wears an 8.5 in casual shoes and 9.5 in running shoes. She ended up going with a size 9. Also, the black color makes the boot look somewhat masculine and bigger than the two-toned boot. I ordered both but she ended up liking the Tusk/Stone better because it made the boot look smaller.

These are super warm and attractive. They fit over jeans. The only downsides are that the foot is really wide. I actually have wide feet and are okay with a more masculine/rugged look on the foot and even I think they are a bit too wide. Also as someone else mentioned, the fabric that is sewn over the shoe is a flap around the bottom near the sole and gets packed with snow and creates an even wider appearance. I don't understand why this is part of the design. These are fairly minor issues in comparison to the warmth, style, and overall quality of the boot. They are awesome! I usually wear 7 or 7.5 and I got a 6 which fit great.

These boots make me feel like an Arctic Princess! I struggled with which size to order. I wear a 7.5 or an 8. I went back and forth and finally decided on the 8 which worked out. I have not worn them out in the snow yet, but they are comfortable and warm and waterproof. They remind me of moccasins. They are fun and I really cannot wait to "have to" wear them! We just moved north again after years south, so I am waiting for it to snow!

I admired these shoes from afar for quite a while. My husband bought them for me for Christmas, I love them! They're very comfortable, stylish and warm. You don't have to wear them with skinny jeans only either, they have a wide calf circumference, which really increases the fashion choices available to you when wearing these. They're very well made and I'm sure I'll have them for years and years to come. :)

I adore these boots. They're so stylish and warm! I found them to be true to size: I wear a 9 and the 9 fits perfectly. One downside: the part of the leather that overlaps the rubber, which extends down past the stitching towards the sole, tends to pack with snow and stick out a bit if you're walking in deep snow, but it will shrink back to normal when they dry out.

I went with my actual size and they're a little large, but that's what winter socks are for and it probably makes getting them off and on easier. Love the look of these boots and I can wear them for hours in the cold and not feel a thing. Very unique option that is better than the Uggs everyone has on.

Love these boots! Living in Michigan, they are perfect for cold, snowy days. They are very warm, very comfortable to wear. First time ordering from Zappos and was very pleased with service.

I waited a long time to finally buy these boots. When I finally did purchase them, I ordered an 8 and had a problem with them being to tight across the top of my foot. I had to go up a size (I usually wear an 8). The 9's were perfect in overall fit but one of the boots starting rubbing against the back of my ankle. What a disappointment! These boots are comfortable and can keep your feet perfectly toasty without getting sweaty, and that's with thick socks. I am regrettably returning them.

I wear a size 5-6 and I actually ended up buying a 7. They fit great with thick socks and look super cute even though they are quite tall; I'm 5'2" and they hit just below my knee. So far they have been warm! We'll see once the U.P. of Michigan gets its lake effect!

Cate the Great is just that...great! Especially for ladies w/ larger calves. I actually nearly cried tears when I tried them on and they fit like a glove around my 16 inch calves. What a great boot. So pretty on and great style. Super comfortable. I don't want to take them off. I live in the Boston area and have cold, wet winters and I can't wait to wear them. I am sometimes a 7 1/2, sometimes a size 8. I got the size 8 and love the fit. Very pleased w/ mu purchase. Love Zappos!

They're gorgeous and I love them but unfortunately they're too small for me. I'm always a 10.5 but I read reviews that they run big so I got the 10. My toes hit the end of them so I'm sending them back for a size 11. They're way cute and comfortable and I love the color. They're a little stiff but I think some walking around in them would break them in.
