I gave these to my wife for Christmas and she likes them. She got a size medium and she is 5' 7" and about 140lbs. These are slightly long on the legs, bit that will be good for us as it keeps her feet covered when she sits down.

Okay, I don't know if these were designed to be snowboard pants but they work so, so well. They were ridiculously waterproof (I was legit just sitting in snow for like 4 hours and no water came through). The adjustable bottom strap came in handy because I needed a really big pant leg for the snow boots to fit in. And I also really like that they're adjustable waist too. The pants were great!

I tested the limits of these pants by using them to glissade down Mt. St. Helens. I wore gaiters to prevent snow from going up the pant leg, then slid down the mountain which took hours. I was the only one in our party that was perfectly dry at the end. I since dropped some weight and decided to get another pair in a better size. I didn't think twice about getting the same pair again - why mess with perfection?

Well made. Looks good and fit me well. But have not had a change to try in the rain yet.

Love these rain pants. Just tested them in a pouring rain storm and they performed perfectly. No leaking! My only complaint would be that they tend to be a bit noisy when walking.

Thank you so much for making such a high quality pair of rain pants. I struggle to find items that are a great combination of fit, weight, and function. These are just right!

I love my new rain pants! They serve their purpose, and they look great too! I tried several different brands and styles before settling on the Storm Surge pants, and I'm not disappointed. I live in a rainy coastal climate, and I was looking for something that would keep me warm and dry while hiking. Highly recommend!

I accidently left my old pair of rain pants in the rental car, so had to order a new pair when we returned from our trip. I love that I can roll them up and put them in my backpack, pull them up over my hiking boots, leggings or pants easily. They are thin and lightweight, not at all bulky. The opening at the bottom of the pant leg has velcro closure that allows you to put them on without have to take your boots off. The fit is perfect.

Wear these hiking with leggings or PFG pants. Don't think I could wear these with jeans. Kept me dry in OR and AK! Pack nice into backpack. Highly recommend. I bought medium, 160 lbs, 5'6"...a little long.

I love these pants. I work outside no matter the weather. I wear a baselayer under these pants. I'm very active but I never over heat in these like I do with normal rain pants. When I received them in the mail I tried them on and they seemed very baggy and long. I took them to a Columbia outlet to try a medium. They were a little tight but fit and looked very nice. However, I am very active .. squatting , bending , running and I was concerned with a thick baselayer under them I would rip them. So I kept the latge. I'm 152 lbs and 5'6

I wanted waterproof pants that were flexible and weren't too bulky - these fit the bill! I plan to use them to keep me dry on long walks with my dog when it's raining or snowing. I'm sure my pup is a big fan of these pants too because it means longer walks :) For reference, I am 5'4", 145 lbs and I bought a medium. They fit well but are several inches too long. I wish they had petite sizing for these pants! Thankfully, they have velcro at the bottom of the pant legs so I can cinch them in.

I needed these pants for my trip to Iceland and they worked great. I was even able to go up to a waterfall and stay completely dry.

Best fit and quality for the money. Have tried much more expensive pants and hated the fit, sticky zippers, and return expenses. Just get the Columbia.

Nicely made. Runs true to size, however if wearing over jeans consider sizing up. Purchased for travel in Iceland this fall so have not worn as of yet. Remains to be seen how water repellent these are.

We love these pants, my son wears them as a professional dog groomer, I wear them rowing a dragon boat, and oh, they work for hikes in the rain too.

I purchased these pants specifically for my trip to Iceland where I knew layers would be needed and ones that could repeal rain. These pants worked great! From everything to exploring ice caves to hiking in down pour rain, these pants did everything I needed and then more. When raining I was always left dry, they were great for a bit more warmth (more as a wind breaker than actually giving warmth themselves), and were perfect or folding up small to add in my day hiking backpack. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I each had a pair of these for a recent trip to Iceland. We wore them on several rainy hikes and were always dry at the end.

If you're planning a trip where you will encounter rainy climate or happen to live in a rainy town, get these pants and throw them over your pants. Great price point. I traveled to Iceland during a rainy and cold season. I wore these pants pretty much everyday and stayed completely dry and warm in 40 degree weather and a wind shield minimum approx., 25mph. These pants performed amazingly well and did a great job cutting the wind 100%. Unfortunately, day before left.... I was wearing snow shoes on a glacier and the metal underneath my snow shoe cut the ankle part of my left rain pant. I would recommend gaiters or a ankle strap to stear clear from cutting the pant! Best pants though!

I bought these for a expedition and they're fantastic. They fit well and are stylish despite being over trousers. Good elastic on the waistband, not too grippy which makes it comfortable. Would definitely buy again!

Purchased these to replace a torn pair of Frogg Togg pants, to wear with a PFG rain jacket. The size was as expected, I purchased to fit ok either alone or over shorts or jeans and they do. The length is good and will work with boots or boat shoes, I am pleased with them so far.
