Super cute but didn't stay on my feet, which run narrow, and they rubbed on the side of my smaller foot. Too bad because it's a super cute shoe!

I bought these a while back and chose to, unfortunately, break them in on an entire day around San Francisco. Um...I died. My feet were destroyed. However, after recovering and the initial break in, these are my go to shoes for everyday wear. I love that there is no elastic to hurt my heel and I wore them so much I needed new bottoms put on. They are good as new! The leather does get loose if I am walking a lot and my bare feet sweat and stretch them out. I have accidentally stepped in puddles and completely soaked these, sweat through them, and they still go back after drying out to a nice fit. I ware them barefoot (without tights) only. I think they might slip off without the friction of the skin. I wish there was more heel support, but for normal everyday life these are great flats to slip on and go.

They take a few days to break in but man are they comfortable now. My only issue is that the surface gets a little cracky at the bend near the ball of my foot, but the textured color hides it well. These are solid shoes, but I probably would not pay full price for them.

These shoes are very comfortable; could use more sole support but easy to walk it. THe variation in hues makes it easy to match. The textured leather is nicer in person!

Ordered these in cement and they are a lovely light grey...perfect for this spring. They fit in my usual Frye size (half size down) and they are a perfect fit when broken in. I was nervous about the quality some complained about but didn't see any issues. The leather is very soft but well made. I did take them to a cobbler to have a rubber sole added as the leather sole was too slippery for me, which is why I gave them 4 stars overall.

It was love at first sight when I first saw these Frye ballet flats. I ordered several different colors and, after reading the other reviews, chose both my regular size and a half size larger. They are truly beautiful: lovely leather, leather sole, great color selections. Sadly, they are all going back. I normally wear a 7W but Frye doesn't make shoes or boots in a wide version. I talked to a rep at Zappos and with her encouragement, decided to try these shoes anyway. I thought perhaps the larger size might make space for my wider feet (and bunions). Wrong. The cap toe crosses just at the point of the ball of my foot where it puts horribly painful pressure on the bunions. They are fine when sitting down, but forget standing or walking. I wore them around the house for a day to see if the gorgeous leather would stretch a bit; I can say that they eased a tiny bit, but since the shoe is trimmed in a separate piece of leather, that is doubled over the lower section, I didn't think they would ever stretch enough to be comfortable. So if you need a wide shoe, you are out of luck with these beauties until Frye makes them in a wide. I am sad to see them go back.

The Banana color is an antique leather finish so looks worn or dirty. If you like a more beautiful finish, it will not be for you. Otherwise it is a textural, nude color that lengthens the leg. These fit me true to size and width, very comfy worn barefoot right out of the box. It is cut low enough on the vamp, just below the big toe, to not ram that joint that can get irritated or form a bunion. A little bit of cushioning in the footbed would be better but I can put in a gel insert for more cush. I have found my new favorite flat.

Great shoe, loved the crackle look however my pair has a yellow under tone and not like the photo. I'm am going to reorder and see if it was just a fluke or not. Otherwise, no problem I'll switch colors as there are many to choose from.

Nice shoes and more supportive than your average flats (they should be; they're expensive) but the leather is very thin on the toe area of the shoe...at least in beige. By the third wearing they showed definite "toe marks" and almost look kind of see-through...you can see the toes' shape clearly in the leather. Maybe it's too soft a leather?

These are cute and comfortable flats. Way too expensive, however. I am keeping them, but honestly they are not worth the price when I compare them to my $30 Target flats.

As the proud owner of Frye Jane boots and Regina flats, I couldn't believe that the Carsons did not work for me. They felt incredibly tight and stiff (and changing sizes did not help). Maybe it's because I ordered a patent leather that it had so little give? Whatever it was, I was sad to send it back.

I have two pairs of Carson ballet shoes -- one red and one light brown. Both are very comfortable. I usually wear a size 7 shoe but in this case found that size 6 1/2 is a better fit in. I'd definitely recommend the shoe to others.

Wanted to love these. Really did! I ordered a size 7, and was bummed when I realized that these would end up too big once broken in. My heel was popping out. I called Zappos and the sweet rep (Zappos has the best service) said she'd send me out a 6.5 overnight to compare. No extra cost! That's service :) I'm sad to report that the 6.5 was incredibly too tight. Both shoes had to go back. If you're lucky enough to fit these, good on you. They are really a nice plain flat that is really in style right now. No weird toe cleavage and the berry is a pretty versatile color. This Cinderella just didn't fit the shoe. Sigh.

I ordered the Carson Ballet flat in silver multi metallic leather. Ran true to size. The color on this particular pair of Fryes was more "cream" than white. The photo looked very different.

This shoe was nice. I am returning it because I am disappointed that Frye has this made in China. They brag about their US history, charge quite a bit for this shoe, and it is made in China. No thank you.

It's a really cute shoe, but I am using this shoe to dance in and notice that my feet keep coming out of the back of the shoe.

Let me add another rave for the white cracked leather! I never would have bought white shoes. I decided to try them based on the previous review. They really are beautiful and soft. Her color description of soft gold was accurate. If you want an alternative to metallic, these are a really lovely neutral. They are suede, so invest in some decent suede protector unless you never walk outside in them. Very wearable with no break-in. My black pair needed break-in before being comfortable. Beware, though, these are slippery soled shoes! I'm taking mine to a cobbler to have rubber soles added. Slippery shoes upset me! I should not have to fear walking down the street, especially in a flat. They do get a bit grippier after you wear them outside for a bit. But not grippy enough for me. Overall, a great shoe and I have a 3rd pair (coral) on the way.

These shoes are stylish and perfect for the office or going out. They run small, not big (as other reviews say), so I had to return the first pair I ordered in my normal size. When I ordered a 1/2 size up, they fit fine. My main concern is that the leather sole is slippery on hardwood floors and carpeted ones. I'm going to talk to a cobbler about possible treatments to the sole to make it less slippery.

I agree with all the other reviews -- beautiful shoes and comfortable right out of the box! I love the purple. My only complaint is the sole has zero traction -- I actually slip walking on carpet.

I love this shoe and have gotten compliments on it. The only thing I'm worried about is that I'm afraid the white will flake off the shoe before I'm ready for them to be done.

I have and love the Carson perforated ballet flat, so I purchased this (in Black, directly from Frye). It is a good shoe, but I don't love it quite as much as a perforated flat. They are well-made and the leather is lovely, but the sides of the shoe seem to be cut a bit lower. Also, although I ordered exactly the same size, the black flat is notably smaller. Other reviewers say the leather stretches a bit, so perhaps that will be okay, but it was a bit odd.

Super comfy shoes, right out of the box. Slipped these on and wore them all day, didn't need any time to break them in. The silver metallic is cute, it's mottled with a touch of yellow that can read a bit on the neon side in some lights, but not in a scary-neon way. Dress them up or down, they're surprisingly versatile - and oh, so easy to wear. Going to buy another pair in a different color!

Beautiful shoe, but, if you are slightly larger than a medium width, you need to go up 1/2 size.
