I LOVE the color Red Algae. This color was even more fabulous in person than in the picture. The fit is perfect as well. If I were to wear a wool sock, I may want to go up a half size. Hunter wins hands down based on durability. Highly recommended.

Gift for daughter and perfect! Classic rain boots

I have had the tall Hunter boots for many years and love them. I decided to try the shorter style and I really do like these too. Unless I am in tall weeds or lots of water, I think the shorter boot will be nicer, as they are a little easier to put on. I purchased some Superfeet inserts to put in the boot, and am glad I did. The arch support in these boots is minimal, at best, and the extra arch support from inserts enhances the comfort of these boots greatly. They are comfortable without the inserts, but the supports make me want to wear them all day because of the comfort. So nice.

I normally wear size 6, and due to reviews saying these ran large, ordered size 5. They fit perfect! I'm only 5'1 so I knew the original's would be too tall. They are easy to get on and off but I do notice they feel a teenie bit "snug" at ankle. I actually like this because I know my heels won't slip out when I'm walking the dog. First pay of Hunter boots, so really excite to see how they last. Got the Ocean Blue, really cute!!

Finally, I found one pair of Hunter rain boots that fit my 17 inch calves perfectly, only because they don’t actually go over my calves. I bought a size 7 and they’re roomy, comfortable even with jeans tucked in, and stylish. The ankle part is not huge like the Original Tall Wide, which was too tall for me anyway because I’m 5’2”. They came up to the bottom of my knees. And my left calf in the Original Tall Wide was a little tight so they made the ankle bend and look sloppy. The Original Short is even more comfortable than the Short Adjustable, which I bought just in case the calf part didn’t fit. I didn’t like how the Original Adjustable looked in the back. For some reason the Original Short Adjustable felt a little tighter than the Original Short. So I’m keeping the the Original Short and returning the Original Tall Wide and Short Adjustable. I’m also waiting for the Huntress to arrive, which I ordered directly from the Hunter website because Zappos did not have the black in size 7. They’re suppose to be wide calf, but shorter than the Original Tall Wide. I’m so happy about my Original Short, but I still want a pair of taller ones that fit my calves. I hope the Huntress fits!

I am very happy with my beautiful THUNDERCLOUD 2 Hunters! It is a lovely muted lavender color...just a touch of color on a rainy day! I am not certain why there is doubt about sizing...this particular style is true to size...I am a 7 1/2-8...you know, a little snug 7 1/2 or a little loose 8, but will make it work for a shoe I love... Anyway...I bought an 8, they are a perfect fit with the Hunter Half Cardigan boot sock, TINY bit of extra room with just a regular sock (but what I consider acceptable fit for a shoe). My suggestion...if you're a half size, go UP, if you're a whole size, get your size. They are snug at the ankle and take a bit of effort to pull on. If you have more luxurious ankles and calves, I recommend the Hunter Adjustable Short.

I received my Hunter boots today. What a terrific rubber boot! Easy to get on/off, good footbed, great color, and the height is perfect for me. I got the size 7, wear a 7.5 usually. My daughter and I both have the tall original Hunter rain boots. Love them but, sometimes need a shorter boot. Especially for driving. This style boot will be great for walking in snow, rain, slush, and mud. Tall enough to keep yuk out, but short enough not to be too much boot. I am sold on the Hunter boots. Last longer than most of the other brands out there. I feel worth the money. I bought these same boots for my daughter too. She wears a 6.5, and the size 6 in the boots were fine.

Love these boots and really love this company! I thought that i would need a size 8 because my feet are pretty wide and i normally wear a size 7 1/2 shoe. the 8 was way too big so i just called up customer service (love the corny jokes you can opt to listen to) and the lovely person who helped me sent out new boots immediately!! i got them the next day. such great customer service will keep me coming back for years.

Love love love these! I've held off on purchasing because of the price, but Chicago's weather is extremely temperamental and bit the bullet to purchase. The fit is perfect and they are comfortable to walk in. They'll be great for rain and snow season!

I am in love with my Hunters! They are not as heavy as I imagined a rubber rain boot to be. I have worn mine a few times now and I have to say that I am loving the feel and convenience of them. They are great for snowy weather as well. I wear a size 5½/6 but I went a size down and got a size 5. I have plenty of room still if I wanted to wear a thicker sock with them. Please note they do run about half a size bigger then normal shoes so I recommend going down a size! I went for the black color. I was not sure if they would be shiny or super matte, as I wanted matte and no shine. These were more matte and the color black for myself works perfectly with anything! That sums it up. I am extremely happy with my pair. I have been looking into a good pair of rain boots for a while now, and these work perfect since they are not so big and bulky and get the job done well!

Perfect for wide calf girls. They aren't marketed this way but they don't go high up to that wide part of the calf but also not too short. They look good! There is plenty of room here to tuck jeans and even my sweats (both tighter ankle styles) plus room for socks to be pulled up So happy I spent the money on these as they also keep my feet dey on rainy days.

I am 5' feet tall and I have got skinny chicken legs. I wear shoe sizes between 6 and 7 women's depending on the brand. I ordered these boots in size 5 and they fit me great! I love them! They fit my tiny calves just right not too big at all! The only thing that I do not like about them is that it is annoying to go up the stairs or uphill with them on otherwise they are perfect for me. And as always, Zappos, you are amazing! The shipping was fast!

These really Run Large in my case. I'm 5'3 Size 16. And I'm a pear shape. My legs are big. I opted for the Size 5. They're on sale. Yup it was my time to indulge on some discounted Hunters! Now mind you I'm a size 6 1/2 an a 6 in Uggs. I tried something like this on in the store and a 5 seemed to fit. Clearly it's a tad bit tight when slipping on around the ankle, but when I tried these on at the store a size 6 looked like I was borrowing my brother's boots. So I opted for the 5 since they were sold out in the 6. I ended up getting the black short mate and they fit. I still have a quarter of an inch for room in the front. I figured I'll awl around the house and hopefully make do with these. I am hoping they do give a little and since I'm trying to lose weight I'm hoping they will fit better. But they run huge and are beautiful in person.

I love these boots, they fit well, very comfortable. I am a 9, I purchased a 9 and I wear socks with them. They are very easy to get on and off which is great for lazy people like me.

These boots have been good so far in spring and summer New York City rainstorms. I have not had them long enough to see how they measure up in winter. I heeded others' warnings that they run large and ordered an 8 even though I usually wear 8½ or 9, and I am glad that I did. Though I will see if I can get socks in there during winter. I have wide calves and usually cannot wear higher boots, and these are not a problem for me at all. They fit comfortably, not tightly, as they are just high enough (or low enough) to not cause trouble.

My daughter and I love our hunter boots. They are worth the money. They fit better than any other and hold up over time.

I love these boots! They were comfortable from the start, no need to break them in. I appreciate the fact that they are so low maintenance. We live near the beach and walk the dog 3-4 times a day, in the sand so it helps to have shoes that can be sprayed down so easily. Loved them so much, got a pair for my husband. He loves his too.

The boots are great! They have taken all I (or rather the ground) has thrown at them. It was helpful to read that they were 1 size larger than normal, so ordering down a size was needed. Also there is an insert/sock that is helpful to purchase.

These boots are so cute! Really great for shorties. I had the talls and they were like walking in ski boots. I love these!

Love these boots! The purple color is awesome, I always get compliments. They are really comfy; just make sure your socks come up high enough if you're not tucking your pants into the boots. They can rub a bit. I am a pretty solid 8, and while the 8s were a touch big - I threw on some thicker socks for the cool Chicago fall temps and they're perfect. I would not size down. Extremely happy with my purchase, and of course Zappos fabulous service! Why shop anywhere else?

Loved the boots. Wore them all day pumpkin picking in some very muddy fields and they felt sturdy and kept feet dry and comfortable.

I have wanted these boots for a very long time, however the price was more than I wanted to spend. Finally after buying pair after pair of cheap wellies, I finlly got these. They are so comfortable and flexible and the rubber is soft. Plus, they have more tread than most wellies which is great because I spend a lot of time working outside. I wish I had purchased these sooner! I also got the wellie sock which is comfy and looks great in these boots. Zappos shipped these amazingly fast! Just in time for the sleet we are suppose to get today!

Beautiful color (aubergine), solid construction, comfortable rain boot. I recommend purchasing the booties to go with them so the back doesn't rub on your calf.
