I got the Hunter Original Short boot in aubergine for walking around my college campus. I love my Hunters! Super comfortable and from the reviews I know they will last for ages! I ordered a size 5. I usually wear a size 6 or 6.5 and the size 5 fits perfectly. Buy these boots!

Ordering from Zappos is always a breeze! My purchase was upgraded to two day shipping for no reason and I received my boots days before I expected them! Hunter is obviously a great boot so I got exactly what I paid for!

Love these boots in this color! I have been waiting for the short boot to come in a fun color. I wear an 8 1/2 and I ordered a size 8 and the fit great.

Zappos has always been the best shopping site for me and I thought they were the great but once I received my Hunter boots the next day I was more than excited; Zappos has outdone themselves, they are great! Now to the boots... They are so beautiful, the color is perfect for fall and winter. I recommend them to anyone that is looking for a rain boot that will last a long time and are fabulous. And they will never go out of style because they are a trusted name. I usually wear size 6 in shoes but I had to go a size smaller because they do run larger.

I'm very happy that I made this purchase. I was debating between this and the Original, but decided to try these out first. As luck would have it, the week it came in was an extremely stormy one and I got to try them out immediately. They are absolutely perfect. Very comfortable, looked awesome with my tucked in skinny jeans, and they kept my feet nice and dry. As everyone suggested, I did go down a size. I normally wear 9 1/2 or 10, but went with the 9 and they fit perfectly. I also purchased the Hunter socks to avoid any kind of irritation where the rubber rim meets my calves. I chose the chocolate brown and it's a lovely color. I'm going to get the Original Tall in green next. I'm a new Hunter fan, most definitely.

These are excellent paddock & muck boots! I have a horse and needed good boots to keep in the back of my truck. These are perfect to throw on when I go to the barn. They save me from dirty feet when I am wearing flip flops and from ruining my nice shoes. The are true to size and the blue color is exactly what I was looking for. I wore them during hurricane Irene and my feet stayed dry. Love them!

I love these boots. They can be worn in snow and rain which is definitely a plus. If you have wide calves than the original tall is not the boot for you, but thank god for the Huntress boot made for people with larger calves. I recently got the Hunter Original short size 7 in navy. It felt big at first, but then I added the fleece sock and it was perfect size. I highly recommend these boots. They are comfortable and they are cute to wear with anything.

I'm very happy with my new boots and will get a chance to road test them as Hurricane Irene heads our way. I wear a 6.5, so I ordered both 6 and 7 then went with the 7. I'll use an insole to perfect the fit. Shipping was very quick and making the return was easy. I'll shop again with Zappos!

I got a pair in aubergine and I love the color, the decorative buckle, and the heavy-duty waterproofness! One pitfall though causing the three stars for comfort is that whenever I wear them barefoot, the rims at the top rub up against my calf and cause painful rashes! But with long socks, these are as good as any rain boots get.

I just got these boots and I love them! I exchanged my original order in my usual size 7 for a size six. They fit great. I first tried the regular shaft height, but at my 5 foot height, they came all the way up to my knees. Not comfy, and made me look even shorter. The short version is a different look, but still very cute and authentic "wellie". I definitely will wear a thin sock or tuck in my pants because the top of the boot does rub against my calf. That would be the only real negative. If Hunter made a shaft height in between the short and the original, that would be great! Until then, I'm happy!

It took three tries to get my boots. There was some kind of clear film on the first two pairs - not the white material on new Hunter boots that just wipes off - but a defect. Zappos could not have been better about the whole ordeal - twice they overnighted a new pair, and the third time was the charm and I love the boots - they are great for the beach. Now I know why Zappos' customer service is legendary!

What is there not to love? Yellow, perfect in the garden or out shopping, fun and sunny even in the rain. Feels good, I would recommend to use socks as they can get really cold when the cold water hits them but other than that...

I love my new yellow Hunter rain boots! They are much more comfortable than the tall ones. I highly recommend buying them. They are even better than I expected!

So glad I purchased these! They feel great, even after wearing them over 8 hours, and they hold up in bad weather.

Fantastic boots! I would say I have average sized calves and there is plenty of room to wear these over my jeans. For sizing, the other reviewers were right - go down one size! I wear a size 9, sometimes a 9.5 in running shoes so I thought for sure the 8 would be too tight. I got a 9 and they felt okay but kind of flopped around a bit when I walked. I came back and ordered the 8 for comparison and it was surprisingly much better. Here's the thing though. They felt a little snug at first and I was thinking I was in between sizes and had to return them all. I kept them on for 5-10 minutes in my house and suddenly realized they had loosened up and fit perfectly. I've worn them many times since then and they are always comfortable from the second I put them on. They are also most definitely waterproof. The only drawback I've found was when I wore them with shorts (i.e. without jeans tucked in) and short socks and my calves were rubbed raw in the back. I'm assuming this won't happen if I wear long socks next time. These are great boots and I'm already thinking about what color I want to buy next!

Zappos was incredible; such fabulous customer service! I had some trouble with sizing for these boots and had to try different sizes and different styles and it was a breeze with Zappos! While most reviews said to size down for the boot I still found them to be too snug (even though it was only a 1/2 size down) the larger size was then too big unless I had the Welly Socks on with them. Likely just due to my feet which are on the long and narrow size, but no issues at all with Zappos service - they are the best! The height of the boot surprised me as I am pretty tall and it hit at an odd point on my calf. The buckle is more for style as opposed to function; it doesn't really allow you to tighten up the fit. But I recommend this boot as opposed to their Huntress line if you find the Original Tall to be too snug on your leg. It is still a more flattering look than the bulky Huntress at the ankle. I found the shoe to run true to size; just needed a 1/2 size which Hunter doesn't offer.

Fantastically British and very comfortable for long walks with the dog in the rain or whatever you have to do in the rain.

I usually wear a 9.5, but when shoes come in whole sizes I am a 9. These are definitely a bigger 9, but with the wellie socks they fit perfectly. They are cute, stylish and very functional. I have worn them in the rain, cold weather and through the mud and they have held up in all very well and the mud when its dry just wipes right off. I look forward to days when I can show them off!

I already have a pair of tall Hunter wellies but wanted a shorter pair. Even though they are very expensive for a simple rain boot when I decided to get the short pair I chose Hunter again for a few reasons. First, my tall ones are over 20 years old(!) & still going in strong. That said, the originals were made in England & these are made in China but do seem to be pretty much the same. The 2nd reason is that I like the classic simplicity of the Hunter boot. I don't want polka dots on my rain boots, or rainbows or whatever. The 3rd reason I'd recommend Hunter wellies is that they're comfortable. The new ones have a well-cushioned insole and even a bit of arch support. The construction seems to be updated for city street wearing. All in all I'm as happy with my new pair as my originals. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another pair but since they last pretty much forever I probably won't have to do that.

Love these boots! I am usually an 8 1/2 and ordered an 8 based on reviews that they ran a bit big. They are perfect and I have worn them a lot throughout our rainy spring.

I love these boots! I have been wearing them almost everyday! They are super comfortable! You just need to make sure that you wear socks that are high enough so that the tops don't rub on your leg. I wear a size 9 but got an 8 and they fit great!

After loving my tall Hunter boots, I decided to purchase a classic yellow pair short for Spring. Love them! They are very comfortable, and I get lots of compliments when wearing them.

Love these boots, so fun and cute. Every time I wear them I feel like a kid again. Bought them for the rain in April and the boat in the summer.
