Of course the next delivery is the best part of the order but loved the boots and true to size enough room for socks even after adding the insert.

Absolutely in love with these! I was pretty skeptical that a rubber boot would look good, and was still a little skeptical when I saw them right out of the box. But once I wore them with skinny jeans I fell in love. They are classically stylish and truly adorable...and so functional -- a lot to ask for in a boot! They are also flexible to walk in, but don't have tons of arch support. Wore them for almost 12 hours one day and my feet weren't sore (I wasn't walking the entire time though). I got the Original Hunter Short wellie in black, size 8, which fit perfectly with a pair of thick wool socks. Normally I wear an 8-8.5, but decided to get the 8 after reading reviews. I probably could wear the next size down, but I was concerned the toe box of a 7.5 would press on the tip of my big toe, which is very sensitive. At some point I may buy the liner, but I have doubts about it's quality/warmth since the short liner is 100% acrylic (the tall liner is a wool/acrylic blend). I would like a better quality short liner from Hunter since acrylic tends to pill and look cheap, and it has seams, which can be uncomfortable. I think if you want the liner, you need a little extra room in this boot or it will be very tight. If you only want to wear normal (not really thick) socks, you probably need a whole size smaller than your regular size. The height of the boot was perfect for me at 5'2, I don't look like a kid wearing mom's boots. My calves are 14" and I have a little room left, they aren't completely form fitting. They look really cute with skinny jeans and leggings. Would definitely recommend! Just hope they don't get the waxy coating that people have complained about.

I love these boots! They match every outfit, but hard to get off. It drains my effort! My feet feel like they will crack! Other than that, love!

I bought these boots as a gift for a friend. I felt very confident in shopping with Zappos since I knew I would receive it right away. I was also confident that my friend would not have any problems returning them in case the size was off or she wanted a different color.

Great boots! Love the color (got the same color for my son). I have a wide foot and it wasn't tight on my foot. The height I perfect for me, I'm 5 ft 3

Great boots. Tried everywhere to find a small size (5) for my teenage daughter and Zappos was the only place I could go. Boots are warm, they are true to size and she loves them.

Boots are super! Good fit and fairly comfortable for rubber. Service and delivery were terrific! Zappos is great!

I normally wear a 9, sometimes an 8.5. If the world made an 8.75, that's what I would wear. Since these ran large, I was scared that the 9 would be too big and the 8 would be too small. I decided to buy a size 8 which worked perfectly with thin socks. I have narrow feet and ankles, so taking them on and off is not an issue.

These boots are comfortable and cute. The short length is a nice alternative to knee length, especially since I am 5'4" and find long boots can have an awkward fit. I bought them with the Hunter socks that fit right inside, and they have been nice and cozy on our chilly Wisconsin fall days. Of course, as with any rubber boots they can be a bit clunky - but they are by no means too heavy to do a fair bit of walking. These are in European measurements, so the US size 8 I ordered is a EU 39. I usually wear 8 - 8½ and was told these run on the larger side. The 8 I ordered fits well with the Hunter sock inserts and some SmartWool socks. They would probably be a bit loose if I wore them with no insert and/or thinner socks.

These boots were a big hit and they arrive promptly, fit well and are very stylish. We couldn't be happier with the boot and the service!

I searched for a really long time for the perfect boots. I knew the Hunter name was a trusted brand & I loved the color. I wear 8.5 so ordered a 9. The boots came in & the fit was a little big. I planned on exchanging them for a smaller size but life happened & I wasn't able to get to it for 6 months. Zappos exchanged them 6 months after purchase & the 8 fits perfect! I look forward to the rain so I can wear them! They are nice looking, comfortable & really solid. I can wear them with pants tucked in or pants covering them. I have no doubt that they will last a very long time. Thanks Zappos!

So I have worn them a few times so far and they are good. Went pumpkin picking, used in rain, used in snow. Great to walk with. Easy to rinse dirt /mud off. Not the warmest but you can wear with thicker socks. I am short so I prefer this height of boot. Not slippery to walk with. They look almost black even thought they're purple. I needed rain boots and got these. Great with tights. Harder to stick your skinny jeans into if you have thick calves like me. But I adjust by wearing only certain pants with these. I have a toddler so i wanted something that can hold up to me getting splashed/ stepped on etc. so far not disappointed. I thought the purple would be a tad more purple however I am still happy with it. I wouldn't want to look too colorful anyways.

These boots are great! I live in Boston where I constantly have to battle rain, snow, mystery slush, etc. These are the only boots I've ever owned that work in all weather that can also stand up to the salt! And that's a big deal here. Mine are now in their third season, so I'd say they're definitely worth the investment. Plus, they run a little large, so there's plenty of room for thick socks. Warm, dry feet = happy feet.

Love them, they are the right height for me (I'm 5'2") but I'll be returning the 8 for 7 since they seem to run a bit on the big side.

I love these boots. Great for a variety of weather conditions - not just rain. Warm, comfortable, good support, and they look great. I wear them on the outside with jeans and they can dress up or down. Also a good option for commuting to work in a skirt and tights. I did have to order down a half size, as they ran large.

Bought these for my daughter. They are super cute, comfortable and she liked the lower height as it was a bit more comfortable for her than the tall boot. She can't wait till it starts raining to break out her new boots!

The Original Short is perfect fit for me at 5'3". I'm glad the short boots have fun colors. I'm looking forward to getting additional colors for this fall & winter. I'm now ready for some rainy & snowy days. Love the green!

I got my Hunter Original Short boots today and I love them. They were a little snug to put on but have gotten easier each time I put them on (yes I've tried them on a few times). They are a bit large... I am a size 7 and I have room for big comfy socks in there. Not really a negative thing since that's what I wanted.

Really high quality boot, everything to be expected from Hunter. Very comfortable, doesn't fit too wide on my calves like a lot of boots do. I do have pretty narrow feet so someone with wide feet might want to stay away from ordering a regular. They come looking a little chalky, for lack of a better word, but I'm really happy I ordered the original instead of the high gloss. Color is very very deep purple, classy.

I am 5'2" and have small calves, so the reviews of the taller boots gave me pause about buying Hunter, despite long coveting them. These are the absolute perfect compromise. The boots are comfortable and fantastic quality. Kudos to instant chat and the lovely woman at Zappos who advised me to choose the shorter version. She was exactly right! They are perfect!

I absolutely these boots. They are way more comfortable then I imagined! I normally wear a 7½, but after reading on previous reviews that they run slightly on the big side, I ordered a size 7 and they fit perfectly. They are well made, comfortable, and very supportive.

I love these boots; however, they run very large. I'm normally between a 6 1/2 and 7, and I needed a size 5 in these boots.

I absolutely love these boots. I have both the short and the tall, I like my short ones much more! But I am 5'3 so my legs are short, even so I find them much more comfortable. As does my mom who is 5'8. They are amazing for the winter days in New York. I just wear double socks for warmth! Overall wonderful!

I ordered these boots after long consideration and find them to be just what I need for doing outdoor chores in rain and mud. They won't keep your feet warm in cold weather, but for coolish or warm weather just right. The fit is snug and comfortable to my hard-to-fit feet, with lots of support. I adore the aubergine color -- not too flashy, a fine neutral color that goes with everything, and the short boot suits my 5'4" height quite well.

The size was too small, but well made I had to send back, so I don't know about anything else.
