I purchased a pair of these boots in Black Matte. I have narrow feet and wear a size 8, I purchased an 8 and they fit very well. I also purchased a pair of Hunter socks to wear with these boots. They fit well with and without the Hunter socks. Thank you Zappos for next day delivery!

I received these for Christmas from my boyfriend, I have had my eye on them for awhile but the price was high. Let me tell you they are worth every penny. I am always a size 8.5 but I read the other reviews and he ordered an 8. They fit amazingly, thin socks or thick I have plenty of toe room. I live on the east coast and we have had a very rainy winter so far, these look so cute with a pair of black leggings or even dark jeggings. I get comments wherever I go. I am only 5"3 so the short ones look great on me, still high enough not to get water in them but short enough to look cute and not take over my legs. Do yourself a favor and invest the money. One month of rainy days and you will thank yourself.

I bought my hunter boots nearly two years ago and I still love them! I use these as work boots around the barn and garden. They are surprisingly comfortable even after 4 hours of hard work. My daughter borrowed them once and almost stole them after wearing them. I had to buy her a pair so I could keep mine. Note: I bought the flat black. I know some people buy them as fashion boots. Mine don't look good anymore they're discolored from use. I wouldn't recommend them for that. But if you're looking for a comfortable work boot - they're awesome!

With arch support insoles added and thick wool socks, they are comfortable and fit perfectly. I was looking for something rubber ducky funky, but I am glad that I got these instead. I highly recommend them!

I have been looking for a rain boot to fit my athletic calf and this is it! They are very well made I think these will be good for the St. Louis winters.

I was skeptical about buying these boots at first. I am only 4'11 and I really loved the tall boot. I went to Nordstrom and tried them on and I looked like I should be out in a lake fly fishing! So, I decided I would by the short boot instead. Let me say that I AM IN LOVE with these boots! The fit is perfect and it's surprisingly comfortable! They are stylish and the short boot compliments my short legs. So, if you are a shorter girl, I suggest trying the short boot first!

I bought these boots for early morning dog walks in a grassy park that is watered early in the morning. So far I like them just fine. I did put my own orthodic footbed in them and that did decrease the roominess of them. I usually wear a 6½, but went up to a 7 and they fit well with a medium weight sock. They are easy to slip on, but a bit tougher to get off. I have to sit down to take them off. I have to tuck my pants into the boot so they do not rub on my shin, but it does keep my pants from getting wet. I would purchase them again. I bought the black and they are a classic style. I am sure that I will use them often in the next few years.

I'm 5'3" with athletic calves and have 2 pairs of Hunters--the original short in green and adjustable back tall boots in matte black. I love both. I've tried the original tall and couldn't get them to fit around my calves, but the two pair I own were the solution to owning Hunters for me! I'm giving a 4 star rating for comfort because there isn't much arch support and the original short can rub a bit on the back of the calf, but I've found that these boots can be worn all day without too much issue.

I am in love with these boots. They are the perfect rain boots. For years I have always worn the tall boots. After my last pair gave out after 6 years, I purchased the short instead. I like them much better. More comfortable and I feel the shoe is wider. I did have to go down a full shoe size.

I am more than happy with my new navy blue Hunters. The shorter style seems much more comfortable and less clunky than the taller style. I wear a 9 in most shoes and a 9½ in running shoes. I went with a 9 in these boots and they are perfect - especially with medium to thick socks.

Absolutely love these boots....true to size and look great. A must have fall/winter...rainy season. So happy with this purchase!

I'm totally impressed with these boots. And now after seeing what they sell for and what I got them for, I got a real deal. I usually take a size 8 1/2 and ordered a size 8. Good choice and good fit. The material is superb, like the the rubber boots my dad used to wear when they made good rubber boots. And I ordered the soft fleece socks to go with them. I think I'll be all set for rain and snow.

As always, excellent service from Zappos. I got these after exchanging the short gloss. The matte, in my opinion, looks more polished and will hide scratches better than the glossy version. Normally I wear a 9-9.5 but always buy a 10 in boots. They are comfy and roomy. These were a splurge so hoping they hold up!

Love these boots. I'm normally a 7.5 and went with a 7 I still have a lot of room and fit perfectly with the boot socks. Glad I went a 1/2 down instead of 1/2 up!

I love these rain boots. No, they don't have a lot of arch support but they are comfortable and lightweight compared to other rain boots I have had in the past. I was hesitant to spend the money for these boots and purchased some Chooka rain boots first, which I returned immediately due to their weight and overall clunky design. I would recommend these Hunter boots!
